Why couldn't Americans come up with anything that's similar to Best Motoring. I watch best Motoring all the time since 2007 and even though I don't understand Japanese, it's still one of the best shows. It's so raw and basic but it's everything a car enthusiasts love. 1/4 mile racing, one mile racing and then track racing. Every gearheads dream, comparing sports cars of the day against it's rivals. Best show.
One of the best episodes, this is why I am so glad I can support BMI! Fun to see, how close the Japanese competition was to the EU top at the time regarding sports cars. Real life Gran Turismo…or shall I say GT is the virtual BMI 😅

The thing is all of these "280hp" csrs are actually 320hp or more. That's whya bmw with 321hp looses to Japanese 280hp car. Because those cars are way more power than 280hp.
No, its because nsx has less total weight and more weight on rear wheels because the mid engine layout, The bmw will spin the tyres or the traction controller will reduse power or aplay rear brake in the start. also nsx has better aerodynamics so it need less power.

Ferrari is 200kg heavier, also has longer gear ratios, Japanese car of that era had more power than advertised because they can't advertise them with more than 280ps because of legal reasons. NSX is a well known Ferrari killer.
@@JefeInquisidorGOW Ferrari killer, yeah not quite, that's an over exaggerated myth, the only Ferrari the NSX could smoke was the 348 and the Testarossa* (*only on the tiny Tsukuba circuit), btw the 348 was notorious for being bad even by Ferrari themselves. Give that 355 to a European driver or to a Japanese Ferrari enthusiast, they will leave those unmodified JDM's in the dust.

最高速のゴールではフェラーリの排気音がダントツいいけど、3.2リッターのNSX2台もなかなかの音。M3の風切り音もなかなか豪快

NSXが2001年12月に固定式ヘッドライトにマイチェンし、2002年5月にタイプRが復活、同時にS-Zeroが廃止とWikipediaにあります。
2001年12月から2002年5月の間、ラインナップ上は固定式ヘッドライトのS-Zeroが存在したということでしょうか?
いいえ、2001年末のマイチェンで固定式ヘッドへの変更を受けたのはtype Sまでで、同時にtype S-zeroは廃止されています。
Best MOTORing 2002年2月号で触れられていました。
ちなみに、2001年のマイチェンの時点で既にtype Rが復活することがアナウンスされていたので、その時点でのS-zero廃止は自然な流れだと思います

Best MOTORingに出てくる80スープラ、特に中期型以降のスープラは全体的に調子悪い個体多いんだよなぁ(というか他の車が調子良すぎ?)
スープラは空力的やエンジンスペック的に、NSXはともかくGT-Rに最高速で負ける車じゃない
事実出たばかりの頃のテストでは269km/hをマークしてたからね
gt-rと言えばコーホー車よ
あと単純に(スープラが)荒れた路面のバンクで他車より踏めないから、バンク立ち上がり時の速度が低い為に速度が伸びてないって気もします。

Yup, a normal 355 would win, maybe not easily but it would no doubt win, a 355 challenge however would wipe the floor with those other cars.
