Yes! I really relate to figuring out a schedule and how to have time while working and homeschooling. I have a service based business I work part-time from home, and it can be hard to fit it all in. This video was so helpful to see that I'm not alone in this. 😊
Oh wow, that’s awesome that you have that business! I’m so glad you can relate because my gosh…it can be so draining sometimes!!! I’m wishing you so many blessings (and rest) as you continue on this journey of work and homeschool!
I have so much admiration for mamas who homeschool and work. Juggling all of the tasks and still have brain space to do the daily things is incredible. ❤️ You are enough, and you are doing great.
Great video. I feel the lighting is perfect and the video was not too short/too long. you are so sweet and had some great book suggestions and activity ideas. Plus the confessions- you just seem so down to earth and real but not just going on and on for a half hour video. 😉 really appreciated all aspects of the vid
I love what you pointed out about taking the time to include a little bit of geography study while learning about different people! I loved seeing your excitement for the Puerto Rico-themed books.
Thank you, Rachel 😊. The geography integration piece was so fun for us! Those books about PR brought me so much joy, and I’m definitely looking into a few more. I’m gonna try to find ones about the Dominican Republic too. You’re kids are waking earlier too?? Must be the time of year 🤷🏽♀️ or maybe developmental age? My son in particular has been having really hard days, and he’s normally the one who will wake, and then wake up his sisters lol 🤦🏽♀️
Hi Yael!! You are truly amazing ❤Thank you for sharing all these great books about Black history and Puerto Rico. I can relate and can tell you that finding balance has been my biggest challenge. My daughter is now in school during the day which gives me the ability to concentrate on work. Since I'll be completing classes for my Bachelors in two weeks, I am planning on spending more time helping her develop her speech. She loves when I read to her and your videos on reading are so helpful. can you share tips and ideas for speech development?
Hi Jenny! 😊💕 That is so tough, I hear you. CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you! Speech development is a bit tricky. What specifically are you looking to help her with as far as speech?
@@mama-yael Thank you! 😀🥰she has a hard time with pronunciation. Certain letters S, SH, R, TH. These are just a few. She sees a speed therapist once a week for 30 mins. There's a video you have on how to teach them how to pronounce words with songs. She enjoyed that a lot.
@@jennyramos8042 My girls have issues with their R's too! My middle, Solana, also confuses S and SH sounds. Speech therapy is fantastic! I've been thinking about putting my girls in speech therapy too. I'm glad she enjoyed that video 🙂. You might be able to do a rhythmic activity with her to practice these sounds. Have some words that begin with each of those sounds (SAT, SHOUT, THAT, RAT etc.) She could hold the initial sound for 2 beats (you can clap, and she holds it out for two claps, ex. TH- - ) then on the third beat (third clap) she says the rest of the word (AT). This is what it would sound like -> "TH- - AT" And then once she does that, she can blend the word together "THAT."
I totally get it. RUclips takes so much time. All of our jobs as homeschool moms are so time-consuming. I cannot imagine juggling outside work as well. Hang in there!
Hey mamas! I am so glad to have shared all of these books and resources with you! I need to apologize about the sound LOL. I listened to the playback on RUclips and I was like 😬 ooo that’s scratchy!!
You're welcome 😊! My mom comes and watches the kids when I leave, so they spend some time with her. BUT, they also do tablet time! We LOVE ABC Mouse. The kids are able to practice everything they're learning in their curriculum and more!
I'm thinking of doing story of the world this year! I'm really attracted to the idea of the audio book.... But I'm torn because I originally thought we would do beautiful feet. 🤷♀️🤦♀️ My age ranges though don't match with BF and I don't really want to try to spend the energy combining the two.
I have seen many moms using story of the world... Question do you know if this is secular or faith based? Lol, well it looks like you're sticking to Logics of English... I know mentioned this before but have you researched or used all about reading ? I ask you because all the other moms I've seen are using All about reading and I haven't seen many using Logics of English so I wanted to know from someone who has actually used Logics of English before I make the big purchase LOL. I can relate to the consistency . I'm a WFH mom and I squeeze in homeschooling how I have no 🤔😵💫😵💫😵💫 But as always thank you for this video!❣
Hi Yakelin 😊! Soooo from what I gather, Story of the World is a secular curriculum. Yes!! I have definitely looked into All About Reading! It really does look like it would be such a great curriculum for us. However…it’s the price that got me like 😬. LOE is pricey too, but from what I’ve seen, AAR is about $50 more. That’s the primary reason why we didn’t dive in, BUT of course that’s just me! I hope that helps 😁👍

This was great! I'm going to use this idea! I would watch more if you had more ideas for hand on math and LA. Thanks!
Thank you! I definitely have videos like that coming up, and feel to browse some of my older ones for some ideas 😁.
