We love Logic of English! I'm starting it over again with my 4 year old. My 8 year old has finished level D so we're moving on but it's been a good fit. Good tastes of grammar and their handwriting is solid. I will say my 8 year old struggles with spelling...LOE presents a lot of Spelling rules and its a lot to keep track of so we're adding some spelling practice this year
Montessori grammar symbols are so fun. My son thinks it is a game. We combine it with an interactive notebook. Some resources for it is every star is different and from branch to bloom.
That’s wonderful!! I’m so glad that’s working out for him. We just started doing the interactive notebook, and I’m looking forward to weaving in the Montessori symbols. Thank you sooo much for sharing those resources!! I’ll definitely be looking into them! 😊👍💕
I love Alex @homeschool of Bel air. Her videos are sooooo helpful! The way she shares affordable curriculum and not the curriculum that every body uses is amazing. Both of you ladies are amazing!!
That is so great to hear! Your comment made me feel more confident in my choice 😁😊. I look forward to using these workbooks, and praying this works out well for us too!
@@mama-yael I think the best advice I got was from someone who said “try it. If it doesn’t work for you or your kiddos that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, you just need something that fits your puzzle.”
I just deleted a super-long comment but wanted to say my 2 older daughters almost exactly line up with yours. For my oldest (beginning LoE D) I'm moving into EIW 2 & Spelling Workout C after Foundations. We tried EM Spelling but it seemed random & didn't reinforce LoE phonics. You might be interested to check that pair out, if you haven't already. Thanks for the tip on ZB. The goal is to be ready for EIW 4 (skip 3), SW D, Exploring the World through Story D (beginning here), by "4th grade" while continuing ZB & ETC.
Thank you soooo much mama!! That was a helpful breakdown, and I'll definitely be looking into those combinations. I'm starting to see what you mean about EM, so I'll have to take a look at IEW. Thank you again 😊!
@@mama-yael Glad you may find this useful. But be careful… IEW and EIW are different! I’m using Essentials in Writing but i’ve of course heard good things about both! :)
I also love Dimension math for PreK & Kindergarten. But then I felt like I wasn't able to teach it in that style, it's just different then how I learned, not saying that's bad at all! What prep did you have for LOE? I don't think I recall any prep to do! Very open and go. Great recommendations! I'm thinking about the critical thinking book too! We loved Mind benders this year!
Thank you, Julie! I feel you, the way SD presents concepts is foreign to me. I just review the materials I need and write down the summary of what will be covered...otherwise it takes us forever to get through the lessons. 😅
I have to quote Nacho Libre here 😂 “Everything you just said, is my favorite thing to do…EVERY DAY!” Awesome picks! Can’t wait to hear how it all works out for you guys. ☺️

That's wonderful!! Yes, the spelling rules can be overwhelming. Definitely helpful but overwhelming lol.

@@crazychappellchaos9910 YES! That is so wise, I love it.
I liked seeing more of Foundations Phonics in this video!
😊 Thank you! I plan on sharing a complete review of Levels A and B this Friday 😁.
We started Building Spelling Skills 3 a few weeks ago and we’re really liking the simple, enjoyable activities. 😊
Oh I’m so glad to hear that! I feel encouraged, thank you, Jerilyn! 😊💕
