The keyboard tray comes tight from the factory for safer shipping. if a bit too tight, simply lubricate the keyboard rails with WD-40 or similar lubricant. Lubricate the front and rear of the rails as shown in this video. Once lubricated, pull in and out the keyboard tray several times so the lubricant meets the whole rail.
This clip also shows how the tabletop slides in order to store the laptop and also to access the rear of the rails, for lubricating if needed. You can also see the measurement of the depth of the keyboard tray and the width of the mouse tray.
