The DOORS!! The best band of all time!
The Doors were such a unique band. Categorized as "psychedelic rock" they drew inspiration from blues, jazz, flamenco and even classical. They could emote a dark, heavy or mysterious vibe but also create some of the catchiest Pop melodies.
Jim Morrison's voice is instantly recognizable. Ray Manzarek the keyboard player (from my hometown Chicago, attended the same high school as my Dad) played a Vox Continental organ, and played a Fender Rhodes keyboard bass, as there was no bass guitar player in the band. They would use a bass guitar in the studio for certain songs, but not when they played live.
The guitarist Robbie Kreiger was influenced by blues, jazz and flamenco. The drummer John Densmore was heavily influenced by jazz.
The Doors have some fantastic music. There is also a wonderful movie about them with Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison.
One of the best bands of the late 60s with such a wide range of music.
The first doors album is a classic, the end, crystal ship, light my fire are wonderful.
The crystal ship was a classic, Jim Morrison at his best.
They're all classic albums
This song and "Light My Fire" are probably the best starting points for the Doors, to get used to their particular style with some radio-friendly singles. Then beyond that, there's a huge catalog of interesting, unique, and sometimes challenging music to get into.
The Doors are a truly great band. Tons of hits. Their style is ... psychedelic blues rock. They were only around for a few years because the lead singer died young, like Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. "Riders on the Storm," "LA Woman," "Peace Frog," "People Are Strange," "When the Music's Over," "The End," "Roadhouse Blues," "Waiting for the Sun," "Spanish Caravan," "Crystal Ship," "Backdoor Man," "Love Me Two Times," "Love Her Madly," "Love Street," "Hello, I Love You," "Light My Fire," "Touch Me," "Strange Days," "Five to One," "Soul Kitchen," "Moonlight Drive," "Alabama Song," and maybe something I've forgotten.
Oh yes!!! Thank you, that’s great advice))))
Song's "YEEAAAH!" crescendo says it all. Morrison/Doors (of perception) were one of a kind
They are all good songs
LA women is the best song for the Doors
Great reaction! Thanks! Every Song on their debut album is fire.
Epic band..gorgeous Emma
I love when you mimic the drum sounds! ❤ How musicians communicate. I'd love to watch you in the studio with a band...putting a song together!
Always beautiful! Thank you!
Thank you! Cheers!
i was 15 when i eard the doors and it was rider on the storm ,this is so cool , soft summer music on the hyway,
"Strange Days" is a good one
The crystal ship, 20th century Fox, The End, not to touch the earth. And so many more I suggest you watch the movie Val Kilmer plays Jim Morrison thanks Emma 🎉🎉🎉
🇨🇦
It's so satisfying to see a reaction channel begin an artist's music at the beginning. I'd recommend the song "Light my Fire" next...either the album version or a live version if you'd prefer. ❤️
To me I think it's hard to pick a favorite song from the Doors but I think People are strange and L. A woman is my favorites. Thank you. ❤❤😊
great reaction Emma Jim Morrison was crazy talented poet, but he is part of the 27 club which means a group of entertainers that died at 27years old Jimi Hendrix Janis Joplin mostly drug or alcohol poisoning.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
A great band, definitely a favorite of mine, one of the first live concerts i saw.👌🎶🎸❤️👍
Emma: for another Doors song that makes you want to get up and dance right from the beginning to the end, try "Roadhouse Blues".
The Doors were Blues, Psychedelic, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, and Jim Morrison the poet and Dionysus. They are still one of the best bands ever. Their version of "Gloria" is my favorite one.
You opened the "door" to real music
Roadhouse Blues is a very great song also…very aggressive blues beat and singing
Emma, this was funky, groovy stuff back in the old turnstile days/nights. They were so unique. Still are.
Great reaction!
A mellower song of theirs to check out is "Riders On The Storm"
Love the bossa nova beat by Densmore to start the song.
The Doors "When the Musics Over" live, the black and white version. You wont regret it.
I think this is the most iconic doors song
The Doors Absolutely Live-Celebration of the Lizard. It shows Morrison's infatuations quite well
A blast from my past, thank you Emma. I would suggest you check out "Just ask
the lonely" by the four tops; same era.
❤👍
More Doors please 😁
Checkout when the musics over or LA Woman, great reaction I love this band
oy! yes? Love♥️🌷🌹UOU!!! KKK
👍🏼🇧🇷❎🇨🇦
GLORIA ( dirty version ) 👍
Legendary The Doors and absolutely genius Jim Morrison 🐐
Great review. If you want to do more reviews from this era, I would suggest Grateful Dead, Morning Dew from the Europe '72 album.
hi Emma , if you want to see the best persenification of jim morrison with the original member of the band you have to see Ian Asbury the singer of the cult signing the door he have the look of jim morrison , The Doors of the 21st Century L.A. Woman Live (2004)
More great music from the60's.
Fantastic band, and fantastic reaction. (Though I'm a little distracted by something blue you seem to have eaten? Maybe my monitor . . .)
Try the song "Strange Days ".
If you liked that one, check out "Light My Fire", from the Ed Sullivan show. ❤
listen to Road House Blues
Hello miss; react to The doors "L.a. woman" and "Riders on the storm".
Hi Emma! Could you please react to Bob Dylan 's Blind Willie McTell? Thank you!❤
Pure psychedelic garage rock.
Try Light My Fire
React to the song, The end, of the doors, best song
Listen first comment AFTER!
you should try Danzing . it's Jim Morrison really pissed of
How to Contact You?
The Lizard King was first and foremost a poet.
Nice reaction. You listened to the wrong version of the song.
the coolest band in rock history, when the gods of rock throw a party, the Doors are the house band
Beautiful, but you already know that
