Also pseudo tabby is a genetic term for red cats that have stripes but arent genetically tabbies(if they had kits that werent red, those kits would not be tabbies unless they inherited stripes from the other parent) All red cats appear to have stripes if you look close enough, but some have less contrast between those fake stripes and their regular fur color

I think the shape language was probably picked up in the years I spent as a caricature artist and I've been working as an artist at a game company for the last 4 years. can't remembered if i commented on the first video but awesome artwork and a red pseudo tabby really only shows it's marks on a torti/calico coat, red/ginger looks tabby regardless of having the tabby gene present and on a calico or torti this would be seen as a patchwork of striped red/ginger and solid black/brown/cinnamon

Aww yay I'm glad you're following along 🥰 I love Iceclaw too, she's going to be such a good mom! In this video I'm using Photoshop (and recording with OBS, video editing with Premier) but usually when I draw for fun I prefer Clip Studio Paint. They're both really good programs but I find Photoshop isn't as artist friendly since it was originally designed for photo editing. CSP is also a one time purchase so you don't have to pay Adobe's expensive monthly fee! I think CSP might also have a built in time lapse feature so you wouldn't need a second program recording your drawing. But it also depends on what you have at home, I hear a lot of people with iPads like using Procreate but I haven't tried that since I use a laptop.
late to the party but a pseudo tabby essentially means while a red cat does not have the agouti gene (the gene that makes cats tabbies) red ALWAYS will have markings no matter what so its essentially "looks like a tabby but genetically is NOT a tabby"

It is just that because of some funky stuff all sex-linked-red (the red gene is carried on the X chromosome thas why only female cats are Calico/Tortie) cats look like tabbies even though they should be solid coloured! (Also I like your voice, it's very sweet)

I just used Photoshop cause that's what I was drawing in! I grabbed the top 3 cats I had already drawn and just added some really big text in a font that I like!

But I've heard that when you get dissatisfied with your art, you're just going through a growth period where it's like you've learned something about how you want your art to look and still haven't applied it as well as you want. So it's a good sign!

The Adobe suite is pretty pricy though so if you're looking to make your own videos I'm sure there are so cheaper alternatives that work just as well. Psudo-tabby or false tabby means that the cat isn't actually a tabby, but they do appear to have faint stripes that mostly appear in certain lighting. With ginger cats -unless some weird mutations are are play- they will always be either a tabby or a psudo-tabby. Solid colors unless there's a significantly large amount of white on the cat, are not possible on gingers. Cinnamon cats are actually the top rarest coloration you can find on a cat, along with chocolates, so it's not a surprise you haven't seen one before ^^
