You know the old addage......you dont cheap out on your PSU but at this price and its specs I think you CAN go cheap on your PSU. Seasonic have a great history with their power supplies and for this price for a gold supply......I can see it being a popuar option for builders. Thanks for sharing, Mike and Kath 🙂
Great review as always from the Dynamic Duo. This would make a great P/S for an entry level budget build. I have a 600 watt Seasonic I've had for years. Still working fine. Take care as always. Cheers
the last normal priced PSU I bought was a 750 watt, seasonic platinum. I got It from Newegg for $90.00 .. this was just at the end of 2020. miss those great prices. this was a great find. Thanka for sharing
Thanks for the great review, Mike! Seasonic has proven itself time and again. Paying a few extra $ is worth the extra peace of mind. Since the tendency to keep the power supply😊 for years with the great warranty, it does make sense. :)
Always assumed seasonic psus were mainly for small cases. As others have said worth paying extra for long term reliability. Thanks for sharing Mike and Kath👍
Fitted one of these last month in my new PC. quiet, efficient and just what I needed as a non gamer, but I am running a 4 disk sata raid for photo/video/data storage while NVME's for apps and OS.
I have an older semi modular version of this on my home server since 2017. Hasn't given me any problems. The server has gone through a lot of upgrades (will be installing a new cpu, motherboard, RAM, HBA, and graphics card in a week or so) but this will continue to remain as the power supply unit for it.
bought the 650w variant of this back in 2019 (if i recall correctly) and its still powering on fine as part of my daily driver, though I do regret that i bought the non modular version and wish that i got the semi modular one at the least each time I go cleaning dust out of the entire build
Hey, May I ask (since you muted the comments on the video) how are you using the omg cable for the iphone (they don't have a lightening port active end) only usb-a-c-micro... everything except lightening lol - I'd really appreciate any advice! Thank you!!
Seasonic Fantastic brand on the whole i believe they make loads of PSUs for other brands too solid choice in most cases and Linus swears by them lol ps The kettle lead not always supplied reminded me Mike I Said I Had some spare one for you I have them put asside there is 6 i will Email you and get them out this week mate I completely forgot

Yes you are 💯 right finally able to go cheap and get quality now that all the other brands seem to jumped up in price

this is the first seasonic for me but seems decent and at the price at the time it was a great choice

yes that is very true, have a great day
If one day I'd have the budget for a Seasonic PSU, I'd go for it without hesitasion. Thanks for this great review!
when they are on offer that is the time to get in
Just bought my first Seasonic psu this week, used bargain of course! Great quality!
nice! used bargains are often pretty awesome

Totally agree
I recently got the gc550 so far it's good. The warranty is the reason I got it
Never owned a seasonic power supply! Definitely on my radar for my next personal upgrade.
if they were a bit cheaper across the range i would be using them more often

good choice, no one ever regretted buying seasonic

the cost gives you confidence
I do a lot of budget builds using second hand parts. I always insist on new power supply’s though and this is my go to PSU. Cracking little unit.
yep at the right price you can't go wrong
@@mikesunboxingThankfully Scan is only a 20 minute drive away from me so i picked up 4 of them on a recent visit.
@@R0n8urgundy that is how it is done! nice one

awesome
Luv almost all Seasonics.
Thank you for mentioning the crap Seasonic model that I have pointed to several times.
No worries!
Seasonic psu never disapointed me everytime I used them. When you see a deal, dont hesitate if you need one.
yep that was my reasoning
Hello! I’ve been deciding which one to get.
Seasonic gold gm650
Cooler master mee v2 650
Corsair cx650
Which one you can recommend?
seasonic
@@mikesunboxing im down with these two:
Seasonic Focus Gold 80+ GM550
Cooler Master MWE 550 V2 230V 80+ Bronze
Which one will it be?
Have you checked out the ADX 80+ Gold SM units, they're currys own brand but I don't know who the OEM is but they're seemingly reasonably priced
been meaning to

what video is that?
At this price, it's not a TUF choice. Really good buy!
lol see what you did there 😂
Could these guys work with the dell optiplex 7050 ?
there are a lot of versions of that model so i cant say for sure, but i believe so
It didn't stay at that price for long then. £54.98 plus delivery from Scan at the time of writing.
Blimey that has jumped up, keep an eye on it though they often have offers on that model
@@mikesunboxing You're up late! 😁

Wow glad I got in at the right time
Hey is the Seasonic G12-GC650 same model as this? Was thinking of getting it for a i5-11400f and a RX 6650XT. Love your vids btw!
seems so just a higher wattage unit, thanks for watching
Of course ASUS would only be involved with a quality product...
