How necessary is the steel plate I wonder? Been running a not so aggressive cmc (to clear 33) for some time now with no plate and no issues. Can I get by without adding a plate with a cmc like this?
Hey bro I know this vid was 3 years ago. But i came to revisit and to ask something. Did you ever have to relocate it ? Or that aggressive chop was enough? I just slapped 35s and i had already cut amd prepped for them. On the street im good at full locks but will test them off road. But yes wanted to ask.
What Randy said. Removing material from something is always going to weaken it a bit. That's the sacrifice you need to be willing to make for stuffing larger tires under Tacomas.
Could you please get rid of the side decals you recently put on the tacoma? Its too busy and takes away from the rest of the truck. Other then that your truck kicks ass! Love the 35s and videos you post

Very impressive work by that fellow.
Heck yeah! Already have about 10 more projects planned with him.
next vid: completely removing my cab to fit monster truck tires. 😎
How thick is the material that is welded in? Looks to be .125”??
I believe it was .125

Makes me want to do this to mine. And thank you for using my photo at the end!!!!!
By any chance you know any good headunit for tacoma i have a 2014 aswell not sure about keeping stock headunit tho
I'm sure I'll upgrade head unit eventually but haven't started looking into it yet. Probably depends on your budget.
@@Tacomaholic thanks man 👌
Loved your videos!! Any recommeneded shops that can do BMC for 4runner in VA? I'm stationed in Fort Eustis, Newport News. Thank you.
Thanks Erwin! Are you on Tacomaworld? If so my buddy "EatSleepTacos" is in Chesapeake and can do that for you.
@@Tacomaholic I'm not in tacomaworld but in 4runner forum. Does he have a shop or info I get a hold of? Thank you
@@erwinaquino5929 Shoot me an email at tacomaholic@gmail.com and I'll get you his contact info.
You should do a relocation kit. And should look into getting maybe like 2inch fiberglass I think it would look good
I'm very interested in getting fiberglass fenders ... but will be tricky making it work with a snorkel.
Tacomaholic true that would be nice to do but I also don’t think goat armor would stick to it since it’s magnetic as well
@@rowen.fishing4714 Yep probably right.
..and it starts !
What did you do with the pinch weld, and plastic?? Maybe I missed that video.

does this affect the strength in the OEM cab mount considering how stubbed it is now?
I’m sure it had some impact on strength when comparing it to an unaltered one, but not enough to cause any concern or noticeable difference.

Tacomaholic good to know thanks
Can’t wait to see those 35’s

I've see on the market a cab mount relocation kit for 3rd generation. Did you thought doing that?
I did but the kit I was looking at looked sketchy. Not sure if other options are available now.
I just got my relocation brackets from Runnin4Tacos put in. Super happy with them. Lots more clearance now.
That is badass! Nice job
Just remove the front doors for more space 😂😂😂
Saving that move for the 37s ...
So much room for activities 😂
I dont think you have enough mods
Never enough.
Relocate kit
When is enough....is enough....🤔
Never...
Between the body lift and no support on the cab mount.......scary
Cool surgery video!
