- Despite multiple Reddit comments saying that a post covid Pai trip wasn't worth the vomit inducing bus ride, we powered on and took the 3.5 hour journey to the north of Thailand to explore this tiny town in the middle of the jungle. This is our experience.

You should got up early and bamboo bridge will look so great and Pai Canyon is the place for sunset. You could get a day tour , to go to MaeHongSorn which tour would come and pickup at 3 am and will be sunrise at a Chinese village lake and get breakfast. You will have around 10 places on the way back to Pai then enjoy the night walking market.

In Kanchanaburi province, there is a source of natural mineral water, you can try to visit.

I can’t figure out if Pai is a tiny tourist trap or a place where someone could retire….would it be tiny and boring ?

Like anything in life, it is what you make of it! It can be both, it can be neither. We really loved it there because it is so beautiful and laid back but it is heavily touristed. We did however meet someone on our bus ride who retired there and said he loved it.

Our driver tool us there and I'm not entirely sure which one since there are multiple you can go to. It sounds like just the "thai pai hot spring" but maybe it says on the sign in our video? I'll have to go back and give it a watch and see!

The Canyon is too hot to explore in the afternoon. Most of the tourists love to go there at late afternoon and wait for the sunset.

Haha oof! I can't imagine. I have been lucky to never see anyone lose it on that right so far, I'm sure they do but I wouldn't know.

The toilet shock, look, question, I domt understand. logic and physics mean the males stand up to pee, women sit down. For the male to pee and Asian squat is completly unatural and wouldnt happen. Women sit down to pee, so therefore would not be unsual to Asia squat and pee, curious what you think is unusual about this, no drama intended, like your vid
