    The most important piece of help for us begginers is the one every single youtuber using a ASRock H110 Pro BTC don't ever mention or show us how to do.
    How to give power to those two molex conectors that need to be connected or else the mobo won't work. Can you PLEASE tell me what do you do? My 4 a ASRock H110 Pro BTC boards are arriving this coming friday and i can't find a tutorial of how to do it!
    Thanks in advance, love your vids!

    u should use molex risers for 1080ti,s as 1080ti,s pull more amps from pci slot, more than 4.5amp which is sata maximum amp rating, the molex support 11amp so your 1080ti,s will be happy :), u can google it about this issue

    Is 7 1080ti cards really worth it when the average price for one card is about $750 usd and put out 25-30 Mh/s? I am just curious when you will meet your ROI.

    Just out of curiosity do you have to power both the 6 and 8 pin on the gpus? The reason I ask is because I have seen people power just the 8 pin and their rig powers on. What do you think?

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  6 лет назад

      Hi Melvin Wilson, certain manufacturers require them both to be plugged in but you also have to be careful how much power those cards are actually drawing if you chose to only use one of the plugs. Ideally for a completely versatile machines that can mind the most intensive algorithms, you would want to plug both in but if you're mining ethereum as an example and only pulling a quarter of the power there's no need for the extra 6 pin.

  • @wirefist
    @wirefist 7 лет назад +2

    Just wondering, Do you bulk order your gpus through the supplier or get lucky :p (for like 580s n such.)

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад

      Hi Matt Theman, very good question I would not personally want to mine with those card using USB risers, if they do not have an external power plug on the graphics cards. It's just too dangerous there's too much power going through the USB risers. You can most likely run them safely using old school ribbon risers tho.

  • @fatjackey140
    @fatjackey140 7 лет назад +1

    Also why are you using sata powered risers aren't those dangerous

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад

      Hi FAT JACKEY, no not at all it's the old ones that gave them a bad name and it was really the connecting short adapter wire you had to use to plug SATA into Molex. Most people don't realize not all power supply cables are equal.

  • @fatjackey140
    @fatjackey140 7 лет назад +1

    Thanks for the video. Greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
    I noticed that on the bottom shelf you had 5 x red and 2 x blue riser adapter cards with all Gigabyte graphic cards and on the top shelf you had 4 x red and 2 x blue riser adapter cards with all Radeon graphics cards.
    Why did you use different riser adapter cards?
    Also, why did you use 2 different graphic cards? Is Gigabyte better for Zcash and Radeon better for Ethereum?

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад

      Hi Andrew Gallagher, you're very welcome and I try because I know how hard it can be =)
      I used two different versions because I did not have enough plugs for just one type.

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад +1

      Because windows will not support more than 8 of the same type of cards, so we have to mix match them in order to get Windows to recognize them all.

      Hi xdimon, unfortunately I'm not very familiar with Linux and is actually a lot harder to build a rig because you have to know how to completely modify your graphics card by bios in order to get the same performance in Windows.

My risers came with the 6pin connector, and it came with the sata adapter. I'm only now realizing my risers differ from yours. Are the 6 pin to sata adapters safe to use? to bad eth mining is almost zeroing itself out in germany.
    we pay around .30$ for 1KW/h.
    I just started 2 days ago with one 1070 and one 980 in two different rigs.
    would be better of with one rig at all, but the 1070 is a mini ITX build with custom water cooling. so no combining. :/
    do you think it's worth it anyways?
    they make around 45 -50 MH/s together.

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад

      Hi, TheSensismoker, yes I do understand this recent price increase has cause a bottleneck in the market, which caused graphics cards to get very expensive but this is actually a really good thing for gamers in the Long Haul, Supply will come back. Why you might ask because you can build a really nice computer and get it to pay for itself within a year or so and if crypto does really good maybe even 3 or 4 months. let me teach you how to capitalize on the situation. FYI I'm an old-school game or too.

    • @TheBitcoinMiner
      @TheBitcoinMiner  7 лет назад +1

      Hi DESCENT, wow that's pretty expensive but if you believe in the coin and you have the ability to hold it for a long period so it can go up then yeah. Now at the same time you might be a lot better off to speculate on a new coin that you can mine but of course you're going to have to do a lot of homework. By the way you need to be mining LBRY or Zcash with your 1070 it's more profitable.
