      @@ChrisMajestic thank you. You mentioned that shadow detail is decent in dark scenes, do you find this makes up for the blacks being subpar?
      I returned my TK 700 STI because I found dark scenes were plain bad. Gray, washed out and felt like I could hardly see anything.
      Was really crossing my fingers that this would perform better in dark scenes than the 700sti.
      I'm also shooting onto a pretty white screen in a dark room, to give you an idea of the setup..

    To answer your question at the end, I'm new here and don't typically watch long form videos on RUclips. Yours was in my recommended section so I gave it a try. The algorithm knew it too I guess lol! I love the no-nonsense style videos like this because it allows me to remember the information more easily. Your delivery is so concise and articulate, very well done man.

    Keep up the great work! I bought the BenQ TK700sti during this past cyber Monday and absolutely love it. The room in set up in has an ibeam going right through the middle and I ha e a 120" screen so, I needed that shorter throw distance. Not sure I see this projector being worth $700 more than what I paid for the tk700sti.

      @@bobdole2184 @Bob Dole Unfortunately I have not seen any comparison videos for all three. However, I am definitely going with the x3000i. There are less expensive projectors out there but lamp powered. As for the 3 (or 4, for the x3000i), leds, this seems to be the best one out at this point. I saw another video where he did color analysis, etc., and it rated very highly. The official stats from BenQ were overstated, per usual, but still held up nicely. Also, projectorcentral has a nice in depth review of it and it has rave reviews. The worst parts are contrast, as compared with other high end projectors, and slight rainbowing, if you're sensitive to that. But for this price range, the x3000i seems to be the best for the price range.

    Love the review! This thing looks sick. Personally though, coming from a commercial projector setting, I just don't thin kthe tech is there yet. I am un-impressed with HDR10 support even on a 4500 lumen commercial model. I've seen some of the 5500 ones and they are finally starting to get close to something more like a TV. Paired with a proper projector screen of course. But those are all 5 figure and up. I'm excited to see what the next few years of tech brings us!

I have an older receiver without an HDMI port. It was an expensive receiver/amp with enough power to drive 7.1 surround speakers. So I’m not in a rush to replace it if I can make it work with a new projector. Can I use the optical output of this Projector or would the digital audio output be limited to 5.1 audio?

On Optoma, it is watchable with lights on but the best will be with lights off (demo on my channel). On LG projector, I can't watch details with some light on even on ALR screen. There is only 1 gaming projector on the market that has hdmi 2.1 and that’s the Epson Pro Cinema 4K Pro-UHD LS12000 but you have to shell out $5,000 plus to get your future proof projector.

      @@deadstick100 Thanks for the reply. Yeah I figured it would be pretty expensive. Hopefully as HDMI 2.1 becomes more common on projectors that cost will start to come down. 4K is getting cheaper too so fingers crossed.

    Awesome video! I was curious how this would stack up with the optima uhz50 for being 800 more if it's worth the cost or saving up and taking the plunge on the Epson ls12000 model for 4k 120. Still have a ways out before we have a theatre room again, was using an hd39hdr before which I felt was impressive at the time

      I was thinking the same with comparison to the optoma UHD50X, I have the one and have been happy with it for the past year. I don't see the difference with spending the extra money. I do appreciate learning about different home electronics from him. He's always informative

      @Madonna Moya I have its bigger brother Optoma UHZ65LV and it is fantastic. UHZ50 will be a very good option for gaming and movies. UHD50X is not laser. If you hate lamp replacements like me, then get the laser version.

    • @goatlps
      @goatlps 2 года назад +1

      @@egyptianplayers1 lamp replacements aren't an issue provided you only buy the full price official/OEM lamp. The problem with lamps is the heat they produce - your room quickly becomes extremely hot, unless it's freezing outside. NB: Suggesting a £3.5k projector instead of a £1k one isn't helpful.

    • @egyptianplayers1
      @egyptianplayers1 2 года назад

      @@goatlps Heat generation, noise level, need to warm up and hence longer boot times than laser/LED projectors. Shorter life span and hassle of replacement plus in some areas getting the compatible lamp could be hard. I didn't suggest UHZ65LV which is expensive, I suggested UHZ50 which is more expensive at around 2800$ but no lamp replacement which is a big plus.
