I'm a project manager. A project manager manages temporary strategic initiatives from beginning to end. A program manager manages multiple sub projects (or workstreams in my company) that are strategically aligned to the goal of the program.

I worked at Babies R Us when my daughter was 4 months old until she was 1, then I left for college and worked retail and was a Nanny while in college! It's an adjustment for sure but YOU CAN DO IT and IT IS POSSIBLE!
I believe you might need a Bachelor of Arts degree in something related to the field or a master's degree in Human Services. Hi! In the non-profit sector you don't need to code as you are managing different programs and or projects! I work mainly in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Salesforce for planning, data collection and meetings. I hope this helps :)
