Here is a little bit of an updated video tour of my buggy. It is a 379X (Special Edition) with a 550 C-15 CAT, 18od eaton tranny, 46k 4.33 rears riding on Air Trac suspension, a 48'' sleeper and has a 250"wb. It is a project truck and is not done yet(tehy never are). hopefully in a year or two though.
I haul pulp wood, saw logs and trees to various mills in NW Ontario and Northern Minnesota, my trailer is a 1992 48' Superior 4-axle trailer and my gross weight is usually between 60 and 70 tonne.

ya know, I just love trucks in general, but this "bushwhacker" is nice... just the right amount of flavour, but not overpowering or too aggressive on the custom work... the lighting is a nice touch

Would have liked to seen your truck at our 75th Anniversary Peterbilt Truck Show in California last year, but Cali is a pretty big run from ON... :)

lol if I had that truck, id take it to pdi and do an ecm tune, get it up around 600-625, then throw on a 91mm borg warner, 59 injectors, and a Pittsburgh power box, would most likely be around 900 minimum with all that, that's my plan at the moment

yeah we've been having lots of problems at work, we have a whole fleet of Volvo's running 600hp, the drivers haul around 105k and they try flooring it from a stop and they keep snapping u joints, I never liked the Volvo's, every day they come in with a new problem, mostly electrical, or faults or something or cant regen and have to do forced regens, they got a lot of steel under them but that's about all id give em, trucks are less than 2 years old, should be getting kenworths within the next 2 years, we have tech tool to adjust the Volvo engines and cummins insite for newer isx15's, we got a couple Cascadia's here that are suppose to be 455hp detroits, but pulling up the hills with 100k they are lucky to be doing 10-15, we finally got the software for the detroits so were gonna turn them up to 550 and see how they do, hopefully the transmissions can handle it

Yeah, they do if I leave them turned up, but I have them wired to the factory dimmer switch, so I just turn them down when it gets dark.

If it's an ACERT, it is a C15, not a C-15. The C-15...note the ( - )...is a different engine/turbo. The 6NZ being the cream of the crop.

You mentioned it took a bit of trial and error to find the blue LED's that worked good for your dash gauges, and that the union pacific were no good at all. Just wondering what you ended up using, and where you got them from. Its a great look!

Gary F I ended up buying alpena strip lights at wal mart and folded them into the gauges. worked great! lasted for four years and counting

Where did you get the blue gauges. Been looking a while. Did you make your own or buy em?

I put blue LED's in the factory gauges. It took some trial and error to find ones that worked good. the United Pacific lights were no good at all.
