Rosie, I love your videos, I also love to see Princesa and how you take such good care of her by cooking her meals, she is so cute! You do a great job, thank you!!!❤️
Hi Rosie nice to see another of your videos when compared to here the food prices and cost of living is much cheaper then here but even dough everything here is very expensive its better living abroad then there when people visit it’s very different then living permanently there to spend a 100 euros in groceries it takes most people two days of wages here I earn close to 200 in a day that is the big difference i left at 13 and love being there but it’s only good for retirees not for young people but if there is no way to leave you have to stay ❤
So what brought you to Sao Miguel from Canada and how long you been there? Are you there full time? Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to do the same. Unfortunately, I make great money in Canada for what I do as a diesel mechanic. Doesn't pay so much in Sao Miguel. I asked a mechanic there lol.
Well if I had a choice I would be in Canada or even the states! I've seen so many people wanting to move here, but the economy is really bad. It's very discouraging. While people are wishing to move here, I'm wishing to move out. Lol don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful Island, calm lifestyle. But I prefer the American/ Canadian lifestyle. That's my personal preference. I had no choice when coming back, I was a minor at the time, so where my parents went, I had to go along. But I also don't have dual citizenship. I'm just Portuguese. Makes it harder to make the move. Thanks so much for always being here! I appreciate you!! Your job seems interesting! Unfortunately you are right. A lot of careers aren't paid well enough here. It's very unfortunate.
I like there for a visit but I miss Canada I would not move there for good I love my Vila Franca but they are charging an arm and a leg to rent a place the cars also so expensive to rent we went 2 years ago for 12 days it was about 6 thousand dollars 😢can’t do that every year love your videos thanks for sharing ❤
@@lifewithrosie03 Wow interesting back story! I, like many Canadians, are mentally checked out of Canada. Especially Ontario. Things have gotten especially bad here. But I understand the attractiveness to North American life. I'm thankful and lucky I was born here. But I love my Portuguese culture I love my family and friends there. Something is calling me to go back to my roots. Alas I have to wait for retirement. I applied for my Portuguese citizenship through my parents. And I'm getting married in Sao Miguel in 2026. Thanks for your very informative videos. You do the best job showing cost of living and life on the island. Muito obrigado outre vez Rosie!
@@lucymeireles205 Whoa I've gone 3 times in the past year and a half and never paid that much for 14 days each time. I stay at airbnbs. Also shop around for car rental places. Some are a lot cheaper than others
@@lifewithrosie03 thank you for doing the videos. its great to see daily living...makes me want to visit more than once a year...and find a remote job lol. do you have an ig account for your channel too?
