Hi Rosie groceries were expensive I fund but for a month wasn’t that bad here in Canada it’s gotten bad to you can’t buy much for a hundred dollars it’s like that everywhere but we have to eat enjoy the rest of your week thanks for sharing ❤
i love shopping videos! it also made me hungry lol...grocery always hits me when totalled at cash...i bought 2 cans of condensed milk, pkg of naan (10) and my total was 11.72 and this was at no frills...im not sure if you shopped there when living in ontario...but thats the bargain shop lol...seems to be like that everywhere....i would like to find the pimento moida but not sure where its sold here...maybe in little portugal but so many of the little shops are getting shut by developers. i finished my bottle i brought back ages ago and i 100% believe it to be a must in cooking. i used it in everything i made...including a jam glaze for squash...it was amazing! tfs:)
We did shop at no frills! I remember it so well. They'd have paper boxes that we could put the groceries in. Have you tried looking at food basics? I have a vague memory of there being Portuguese products there. I wish we could go back to the good old days when groceries didn't break the bank lol
@lifewithrosie03 everything breaks the bank now lol....ohhh! there is a food basics 15min walk...i will def check it out! i wouldn't have thought of them at all...
Tap water is great here! I just buy the big 1,5LT bottles for my boyfriend to take to work. Also I like to have them just in case of emergency or if they do any treatments to the water, which they do from time to time.
Pimenta moída is a must in our cooking! 😋 I’m in the US. Yellow, red, orange bell pepper, are the same price and more expensive than the green bell pepper 🫑
Wow I can’t believe how much prices went up…..mind you I shouldn’t be surprised because prices here in Canada are ridiculous….so I guess we are all in the same boat!
Yes I do spend a lot for only two people. And I usually have to go back to the store throughout the month to get stuff that's missing. But yeah, I do think stuff is expensive everywhere in the world. Is a global inflation. I wonder when it will stop.

Yes. We can't eat money. That's what my mom says.

@@cherriesnhoney let me know if you're successful in finding it!
I'm surprised that you buy bottled water. I think the tap water on the island is pretty good.

Wow. Green bell peppers usually are the cheapest here. And yellow and orange are so expensive! I once paid 3 euros for a yellow pepper
Everything is so expensive now considering the wages are very low
