DIY Bath Fizzers (easy technique)

- Опубликовано: 6 фев 2025
- USE:- 2 cups bicarb to 1 cup citric acid. (If you wish to make a smaller batch)
I like the powdered Citric, because it binds together better for me. But apparently the grainy type is better for fizzing.
My Recipe:-
10 x Cups Bicarbonate Soda
5 . x . Cups Citric Acid
1 . x . Cup SLSA (bubbling agent)
100mls any carrier oil (I used Sweet Almond Oil)
100mls Fragrance, any non discolouring fragrance
30mls Polysorbate 80 (optional)
1 teaspoon pink mica
10 drops yellow colouring
Total of 18 to 23 sprays of water of witch hazel

Fantastic Technique & love how they look...dipping in the M&P soap & then right into the glitter! Thanks again for an informative video & teaching me something new. Very Inspirational, Karen! Xoxo
Absolutely Brilliant to use the mixer/beaters. Ive never thought to use them to get it all mixed so quickly! Just adore you & your vids. Thank you for sharing!!
Wow I love these ! They look so fab with the glitter, I'm going to make some of these for my 7 yr old for Xmas she will adore them 😄 xxx Thank you, I had never thought of dipping them in soap to add the glitter ! Genius ! ❤️
Have you ever tried using buttermilk powder in your mix, it creates great bubbles. My recipe is total of 6 cups and I use 2 tablespoons slsa and 3 tablesoons buttermilk powder and get great bubbles. SLSA is really expensive here in Canada.
NO I haven't, will give it a try thanks
Hi Karen! It's good to see you back on RUclips again. Several months ago you talked about a diet you were doing, how's it going? I hope you are doing well with it.... Can you do a video of your new soap kitchen? It seems it's been a long time since it was finished but wee never got to see it completed.
Great tips using the kitty box and dunking! Appreciated.
I'm so glad you are putting videos out again!
Love it when that bell tolls and you have uploaded another video. Lol. So pretty Karen love your products. Thank you.💐💐💐
Oh nice to know you get notifications x
I love your work. Mine always either stick inside or crack even if I dry in the oven a few mins. Please help!
What's the secret to making sure they don't stick to the mold? I assume leaving them in the mold prevents them from drying out since there's no exposure to air for the water to escape out of
Do you have a video where you show how you start mixing the everything from start to finish?
like adding all the oils to your dry mix ?
would love to see a demo
So pretty. Love glitter !!!
At what point do you put the oils and poly 80 in?
I LIKE THE COLOUR.
Hey Karen! Love the GLITTER!! Great easy technique! So pretty...TFS Hugs from Texas!! : )
I didn't see on here how much of items or what things use for mix
Hi is it a soap and pour base you use and how come it does not fizz when dipping?
Your mix always looks so good!
Trust me, it has taken years to get this right. For years I couldn't even try to make bath bombs, because they never worked out for me.
Beautiful bath bombs. May I ask what type of glitter and where do you purchase such a large bucket?
Looks lovely. Thanks for shearing.
Great literbox technique !!
Have you tried Eazy Colors? I ordered them from the UK, but haven’t tried them yet.
I haven't heard of them Suzy, but I will surely look now, thanks so much
Those are beautiful!
I Love the look of your new website 😍
Oh thank you xx
Hi these look fab and thank you for sharing your recipe. could i ask if i was to leave the slsa out how much do i need to drop the oils by?
Slsa makes the foam...add as much oil to your dry mix to make the proper consistency.
I am really wanting to try this recipe. I’ve heard of so many people having trouble with bath bombs. Do you know what your humidity is? Also have you ever used buttermilk powder? You make it look very easy! I do love your videos!
What is the recipe
so so pretty!!!
Yaaay!😀 thank you for all the tips and tricks
You are welcome
Pretty. Does the glitter make much of a mess
A little bit of a mess, but rinses right off because it is cosmetic glitter.
sooo sparkly!!!!! love
I love sparkle too
Also could u do a demo video on how these perform in the bath?
Yes sure, I do have a bath bomb fizzing video somewhere
After trying several recipes. I tried this one and it worked at first. Best bath bombs ever. Rock hard and great fizz. Then a month later, I tried the exact same recipe using the same technique and it didn't work. The bath bombs stuck to the mold first...and then later disintegrated. Does the weather change a recipe that much? I'm so lost. Any advice would be great.
Here in Ontario Canada we have a company called Xen bath and beauty supplies . They have stainless steel bath bomb molds ranging from 1 imperial inch to 3 imperial inches. They are very similar to your ikea molds you have. If it is worth you ordering from Canada you might want to look into them
Thanks Linda, you all are so kind to offer me info x
Good Morning from California... fun fizzies first thing is a good thing! They look huge, may we inquire as to their size?
The moulds are 7cms/just under 3 inches diameter
Yay! Another video!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey hun
Where did you get the colors from?
Hi Karen, are you currently doing any markets in you local area or just selling from your website?
Just the website I'm afraid
Is the glitter biodegradable? Glitter is becoming a problem for our environment due to it being plastic and it attracts small fish and mammals to eat it. I still like glitter though.
Omg I love these
Hello from California Karen glad to see more of your videos you’re such a delight! Rather than killing your wrist you ought to get yourself a bath bomb press. I recently bought a bath bomb xpress at a reasonable price. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m already thinking of buying an electra bath bomb press.
Oh thanks. Luckily, at the moment my wrist doesn't hurt at all. I haven't looked at bath bomb presses for a long time, probably loads available now. Will take a look
awesome update thank you for sharing Karen from Holme Hale Norfolk UK HAVE A BLESSED DAY
Blessings back at ya
Those stainless steel are really easy to find on the Internet. I know there everywhere on etsy. I buy mine from two wild hares. She is in the U.S. Though. Here prices arnt to bad. Her price on slsa is the cheapest I have EVER seen! It's not as fine and air born as most. I never wear a mask working with it and never cough.
Thank you I'll take a look x I have used the Slsa noodles before, is that what you are talking about
I bought mine from Two Wild Hares - they're great quality x
amazing. how many days did you leave them in the mold for?
Ab out 12 hours, but you could un-mould after 5 or 6
HI THANKS FOR VIDEO.
Hi Karen from New Jersey in the US. You are the bomb!! LOL. Could I use this recipe to make scoopable bath fizzies and spread on a cookie sheet to harden overnight?
Yes, sure you could
Love um xx
Gosh I sure have mist your lovely voice!
Aww thanks
