EdenSecret. Wanna know a secret? Do everything like how you normally would EXCEPT adding your citric acid. Wait until after you have added all your liquid portions and when your mixture is all done THEN add your citric acid and finish mixing. This way you never have to worry about the citric acid fizzing while you add in your liquids.
ABSOLUTEL BLESS YOU! You have just cut my time to almost nothing by showing me the hand mixer. Thank you so much! Have a Bless Day and May God bless you with good health as well. Don't cut your videos short. I love it when u show the whole thing in real time. It makes me feel as though Im right next to you in a chair. Love it. Anyone who says it too long.... they can go to tic tock for those quick ones. I enjoy the little conversations you bring up. Stay you.
Miss your videos, Karen. Glad to see you back. You don't have to do anything special in them, it's just very relaxing to watch you create and chat. You have a friendly, welcoming way.
Hooray you are back, I thought I had a bloop on my subscribe button or I had somehow deleted you... But whew I hadn't. Now I just have to say that I bought 2 candles and 3 soaps from you 3 years ago and I love them so much I still haven't used them. They are displayed on my bathroom bench. I've been a fan fir over 3 years and still love watching and listening to you. Yes please I want the rose silicone mould, preferably to purchase not make 😇. It's the best one I have seen ever! Much love many blessings , Australian (one day hopeful soaper. )
Did you ever show us your completed soap room? I'd love to see a video of it and how you organize all your supplies!! I never tire of watching you and I'm Soooooo glad you're back on RUclips!!
I love that mixer! Your bombs are lovely! Can you believe that the first attempt I made at bath bombs a couple months ago they stayed together? I was in complete shock and kept checking on them thinking it was a fluke. I made another batch recently and they were nice too. My husband says perhaps it's because I've watched hours of RUclips videos and have done so much research haha! I agree about the moisture factor. I got the mix wet enough, like the consistency of wet sand. Great work Karen and hope to see you soon!
you may want to try tapping the molds with a spoon to release your bombs, that way you have fewer dents in your molds and you lessen the risk of breaking and/or denting your bombs. Thanks for sharing such an awesome video and recipe! :)
Hi Karen :) love the video! Sooooo happy to see you back online!!!!! You were the one who inspired me to start my own bath and body business, so it's always a treat when I find a new video from you :) it makes my day ! I hope everything in your life is going good for you and your family. God bless
Love seeing your name come up in my notifications 😃. The bath bombs are lovely. I also live in California and we do takes baths , but we are still careful with the use of water and we cut back on other things. Love, love, love your videos Karen!
Oh it is so good to see you again! I could watch you wash the dishes and I would still not get bored :) please make more videos! And maybe you can teach us how to make those silicone moulds for roses? I love the colours in these bath bombs! I ordered the lemon soap with the same colours and I love it!! Would you tell us where you got them from pretty please? And also where did you get those gorgeous flowers? Thanks a lot and God bless you and your family! I hope you are all well.
That's funny, cos I was thinking, 'shall I do a washing up video" hahaha Soap kitchen do lots of mica's the flowers come from Ebay, Yeah will do a flower silicone mould making video
I get so excited when I see a new video from you! The bath bombs look amazing!! I can never keep mine from separating. I'm still working on my recipe. :)
It's an older video and you have hundreds of comments already but RUclips knows I'm a fan and offers these up as 'clickbait' for me knowing I can't resist them. I'm learning to trust your choice of colors Karen, you know how to visualize how they will look and the results are always so beautiful.....these look quite easy, or you make it seem so. I hope to try them soon.
Really love watching you.if your making bombs and using kaolin clay do u use less bicarbonate soda.also where would you leave them to dry in January. Many thanks 😊
Karen, I can´t upload the photo of my bombs made with YOUR RECIPE, thanks for sharing your knowledges that is why you are successful. I made my bombs following video instructions and they came out perfect! beautiful, with nice smell of Green tea. Thanks again. Regards from México
Although i live in California and there's the water drought. ..i make them for my grandkids and they love them and boy do they leave a great smell and their skin comes out so soft.
Hi Karen I really enjoyed watching this as you explain things really well, I am from the uk also and most recipes and things I see are from USA etc so have very different climates and resources available, can I please ask you a question? why do you use water and not witch hazel ? I always ponder over this n I don't seem to find a clear answer, and you really know what your doing, I am a bit of a newbie. Many thanks Laura xx
Do you know Angela, I couldn't make bath bombs for years and the reason was I wasn't using enough water to bind them together. When I looked at a recipe, people seemed to only use a tiny amount of water or binding liquid and that is where I went wrong all those years.
I am a new subbie. I love these colors, together! This takes a lot if patience, as I can see. I don't think I have it in me...lol They are beautiful! xoxo
I've seen one other use their rubbing alcohol insread of spritzing with water. She says the alcohol smell dissipates and doesn't set off fizzing too much. ????? Worth it to try a little bit in a very small bowl, I reckon. :)
Hey Karen, I made some bath bombs using the cup method, but am I right in saying that if 1 cup bicarb to 1/2 cup citric acid means 1 tblsp of carrier oil, buttermilk powder and slsa then 2 cups to 1 citric acid means 2 tbls of the oil and powders etc? So for every 1 cup of bi card I use 1 tblsp of oil, slsa and kaolin? Xx
Please see my more recent bath bomb videos for a better recipe (as this one is very old now I've changed the recipe since then). Watch here:- ruclips.net/video/w5CfXax8Upw/видео.html
Thanks for sharing your recipe....we are in a terrible drought in California so bath bombs don't sell well or at all, no one is taking baths anymore here. I hope your & your family are doing well. Coming to California anytime soon? Take care, Louise
Oh I see, we don't even give water a second thought here in the UK, especially here in the Lakes as it is top rainfall in Britain here. I hope you get some well deserved rain. Although I would do anything to swap living here, for where you live xx We were going to go to CA last November, but ended up in Orlando again, next time it will be California and would love to come meet you for a coffee.
how have you been coping with the crazy humidity we have had recently? I can't even get my washing to dry, I am too scared to make bath bombs at the moment
Hi Lin - 6months down the line I know, but if you're still looking for the virtuous violet mica powder then a company here in the UK called Soap Supplier sells it.
Instead of water you can use witch hazel to spritz to thicken it before you start molding there will be almost no reaction and it's good for the skin as well
Hi I was wondering if you could tell me how much polysorbate to use for 3 cups of bicarb. And also which is better polysorbate 80 or 20. Newbie to making bath bombs.Kind regards.
She might have said SLS for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and SLSA for Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate which are both bubbling agents/surfactants used to create bubbles in your bath bomb recipe.
+Karen Morland hey thanks for reply! i was wondering what mica you use as the stuff iv tried sticks to the bath, skin and clumps together, any advice would be muchly appreciated! thank you
Ruby R mica powders from asia that you can purchase wholesale tend to do that alot more. and it depends on the oils you use with the mica... some oils are to oily and will clump the mica together in a ring around your tub.
Polysorbate is a surfactant and an emulsifier that is used to create an emulsion between the oils used in creating your bath bombs and the water that they rest in. It helps to reduce the oil content that's often found on the bottom of the tub and rests on the surface water and aids in dispersing the fragrance and oils in the water. SLS is a bubbling agent that is mixed into your bath bomb recipe to create bubbles once your water is agitated.
where can I get essential oils from please , i'm new to this and just making for my family and myself, so if you could let me know would be grateful thank you x

Absolutely perfect Karen. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are most welcome
Hi Karen I really enjoyed watching this as you explain things really well, I am from the uk also and most recipes and things I see are from USA etc so have very different climates and resources available, can I please ask you a question? why do you use water and not witch hazel ? I always ponder over this n I don't seem to find a clear answer, and you really know what your doing, I am a bit of a newbie. Many thanks Laura xx
I often use witch hazel too, but when I run out I use water xx
+EdensSecret1 Great that's very helpful, Thank you taking the time to answer me xxxxxxx
I'm not good at making bath bombs. Will give your recipe a try. Thanks for the recipe and the video! I have missed you....
Do you know Angela, I couldn't make bath bombs for years and the reason was I wasn't using enough water to bind them together. When I looked at a recipe, people seemed to only use a tiny amount of water or binding liquid and that is where I went wrong all those years.

Beautiful colors.
Thank you so much, I like em too xx
So happy you're back. :)
I am a new subbie. I love these colors, together! This takes a lot if patience, as I can see. I don't think I have it in me...lol They are beautiful! xoxo
Yes, you'll find the patience
I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE SPARKLE.
So glad to see you again!
thanks soapychick
If you tap the top and bottom with a spoon rather than the sides they release easier. Plus it won't damage the mold
Thank you Karen, it was wonderful.
glad you enjoyed
I've seen one other use their rubbing alcohol insread of spritzing with water. She says the alcohol smell dissipates and doesn't set off fizzing too much. ????? Worth it to try a little bit in a very small bowl, I reckon. :)
Cheryl it still fizzes with alcohol...
i like alcohol better because it binds them better so they dont break...and they get rock hard super fast.
I use witch hazel and stir as you spray it and it work great.
me too
Hey Karen, I made some bath bombs using the cup method, but am I right in saying that if 1 cup bicarb to 1/2 cup citric acid means 1 tblsp of carrier oil, buttermilk powder and slsa then 2 cups to 1 citric acid means 2 tbls of the oil and powders etc? So for every 1 cup of bi card I use 1 tblsp of oil, slsa and kaolin? Xx
If you go to my recent bath bomb videos everything is weighed out for you in grams
Thank you for beeing back.
Your Bath Bombs are beautiful. I never tried spraying water. I just wonder if that would make a difference here in Houston because of the humidity.
Yeah, try it, it could work, they need to fizz to stick together, I think, lol
I love that mixers!
Love The channel first all.. Can you please tell me if I can use soap fragrance in bath bombs? Seems can't get an answer? Thank ya in advance...
Yeah!! Great deal on the mixer. Thanks so much for sharing!
It is a monstrosity but worth it xx
Thanks for the video. The recipe you mentioned is different from what you applied. I wonder which is correct.
Please see my more recent bath bomb videos for a better recipe (as this one is very old now I've changed the recipe since then). Watch here:- ruclips.net/video/w5CfXax8Upw/видео.html

Simply lovely
that is a beautiful purple! my favorite color. I've been looking for a purple that nice, would you mind sharing where you got the virtuous violet?
Hi Lin - 6months down the line I know, but if you're still looking for the virtuous violet mica powder then a company here in the UK called Soap Supplier sells it.

Hi again,
What is the difference between polysorbate 20 and 80? Can you use polysorbate 80 in the bath bombs instead of 20?
Hi I was wondering if you could tell me how much polysorbate to use for 3 cups of bicarb. And also which is better polysorbate 80 or 20. Newbie to making bath bombs.Kind regards.
For 3 cups I usually use 1 tablespoon of Poly 80. This has worked for my 2:1 recipe and also my 3:1 1/2 SB/CA recipe.
Thank you Karen! You are a Doll!!!!
Thanks for the video and sharing your recipe. You can tap with a spoon to remove mold would be better I think for you.
OK will try that, thanks x
good job look nice
thank you for sharing your videos.
They came out rock hard
where do you buy your roses and are they soap?
These are great! I'd love to see a demo of your bath bombs and how they act in water :)
Yes sure
can I use poly 80 instead of 20? What kind of water? regular tap water?? Thanks
what is LSS and LSSA please I am going to try making bath bombs so I am new to the craft thank you x
She might have said SLS for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and SLSA for Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate which are both bubbling agents/surfactants used to create bubbles in your bath bomb recipe.
love it.
Hey great video! what type colours did you use? was it mica? thanks
Yes, Mica
+Karen Morland hey thanks for reply! i was wondering what mica you use as the stuff iv tried sticks to the bath, skin and clumps together, any advice would be muchly appreciated! thank you
Ruby R mica powders from asia that you can purchase wholesale tend to do that alot more.

Karen Morland where do you order your mica powders from?
Hi, could you tell me where you get your fragrance oils from?
Great video!
thanks so much
Do u need the sls or the poly 20 I've never used them before in my bombs
I am having the hardest time finding these flowers!!!! I can not find them on ebay anywhere!!! Can you show me where they are?
can I ask where you get your dry powders from please edan x
God bless!
can you make the coluor stronger by adding more powder?
I'm just wondering but why do u use poly and SLS? like how does it help with the bath bomb?
Polysorbate is a surfactant and an emulsifier that is used to create an emulsion between the oils used in creating your bath bombs and the water that they rest in. It helps to reduce the oil content that's often found on the bottom of the tub and rests on the surface water and aids in dispersing the fragrance and oils in the water. Hi do you not use corn starch in your bath bombs ?
I save my extra powder use as bath salts
