Cutting my driver by -1.5 inch shorter from 45.5 to 44 inch was the best decision I ever made. More accuracy and consistent hits. I thought I would lose distance, but in fact I hit further because I keep hitting them straight with more control! Thank you so much for this video!
@ I cut on the butt where the grip is. Then i used Golf Pride MCC Plus 4 Midsize grip so that the bottom grip stays fat. I also put 2 tapes inside the grip, to suit my hand size.
Great question Drew. Height isn't as important to shaft length when it comes you the driver. Infact, we've found the ideal length for the majority of our Driver fittings comes in around 44". That length really helps the majority of golfers find the middle of the face more frequently which creates more distance and tighter dispersion patterns.
This is only good. For the younger crowd. Once your older you just can not keep up or your hitting driver 5 or 3wood into every green. Please your not helping the older people and neither are the equipment company’s who cater only to the youth

so why does shorter shaft give a tighter pattern?
And does it cause a decrease in distance that you give up?
