Lucci is definetly strong but at the same time we shouldn’t forget Oda is stalling. Lucci is using his awakening and Zoro using only 2 swords. Hope we actually get a real fight with Zoro and Lucci and not just clashes. They barely get any screentime
There won’t be a real fight it’s just gonna either end with nobody winning or a quick defeat for Lucci. Saturn and Kizaru are the main enemies

Forget the durag, he's only using 2 swords. He's panting because Lucci can pack a punch and has incredible speed and a stamina and endurance of a zoan so Lucci is probably dishing with everything he has. Meanwhile Zoro has to be more careful than usual and has to be more on the defensive and had to wait for the perfect time to counter.

I'm not mad Zoro is not wiping Lucci, as a Zoro fan. Things are def dragging for one reason or another, and I've always respected Lucci so I'm not hurt. I've also said it before but an argument can be made that Zoro is still messing with or getting used to "King of Hell mode" and that's part of the difficulty maybe? For the billionth time, Sanji wasn’t crying cause of “Pudding leaving him”. He cried because he just gave up being with his crew and his dream of finding the All Blue all so he could protect the crew and Zeff. He thought that he could deal with that misery and the abuse of his family if he had someone as kind of Pudding next to him. When Pudding turned out just as evil as his family, that Luffy and Nami were captured, and that he and his family were gonna die anyway, he realized that all his sacrifices had been for NOTHING. All of misery and abuse he had already endured meant nothing and they were all going to die because of him anyway. THAT is why he’s crying, not because of Pudding 🤡 I swear even ppl who claim to be a fan of Sanji don’t actually understand his character at all 😅

YC1s are comparable fighters. Even if they fought each other , the battles will not be short. Lucci and Zoro have been fighting for a few minutes at most. If Zoro fights Katakuri/Marco/shiryu/king/benn , all these battles will be long regardless of who wins.

It was Lucci’s confidence that makes him easy to clown. Every threat he makes is laughable because you know at the end of the day he’s not gonna be able to back it up. Also I’m not forgetting how he switched up as soon as daddy Kizaru showed up, and is still talking mess as if he didn’t downgrade to fighting someone less powerful than Luffy who he acted like wasn’t a problem. I think when jimbe shows up, he tells him to wrap it up. Zoro will do something to knock him down temporarily, because awaken zoans recover to fast and would take to much energy to kill. So zoro will hit him with something hard but it will only take him down for a short time.

But when he got defeated in name he trained and became strong but he lacked experience of fighting stronger than his opponents thus losses again. As a Franky fan I have no agenda here. What I see is that Lucci is incredibly underestimated. Sentomaru specifically said he thought he blocked Lucci. Meaning Lucci cuts ryou defense like butter. He has some special ability thanks to his awakening most likely.
@@Par-Blindspot Ryou is simply an invisible wall of haki. It can be used offensively or defensively. Are you even reading the story? Sentomaru literally just used his defensive technique against Kizaru in chapter 1091. He says "my guard is the strongest in the world". Not "my attack". Duh.
On a side note, Franky's been a beast tanking Kizaru hits this arc
Headcannon theory but I think the reason zoro is taking so long to beat lucci and looks tired is because of that moment in Wano where he saw death. I think he pushed his body too far and is experiencing the after effects. Zoro might not be able to fight at full strength for a while. Just a random theory though it might be as simple as awakened lucci just being *that* strong.
What if Zoro is stalling because he knows awakened Zoans can bounce back quick? Like he knows if he ends the fight, Lucci will be back before they get to leave? We were shown somethings like this with the "awakened zoans" in Impel Down. They don't stay down for long

This might be an unpopular opinion; I don’t remember exactly how long they got to egghead from wano, but I’m pretty sure it was not that long. Zoro had a massive fight with king and he actually struggled, showing how far he’ll go for Luffy as a right hand man, and a best friend. That was the point of his story vs king. While sanji destroyed queen because he unlocked his past genetics, finishing his arc from wholecake and bringing it all to a whole. He absolutely blitzed queen from beginning to end, showing how crazy he really is after being used as a punching bag. So all in all, I believe zoro is a bit weak after his fight with king and then having to go against an awakened lucci, and most of it was off screen so we dont rlly know what they did. While sanji has a bigger durability buff and is able to kick away kizarus light beam, why, because he blitzed queen and unlocked the genetics. I love both of them though, top tier duo fr.

I do think this most recent chapters has lifted Sanji and lowered Zorro. We need moments like this to justify thier continued rivary. Oda jokingly enjoys messing with Sanji so we will see how it pans out.
I do think Zorro and Lucci are trying to conserve energy by not going all out on each other. There a lot of enemies and variables on the field. If they go all out, they may become less able to deal with future challenges. Jinbe telling him he needs to get moving may change Zorro's attitude toward the fight may change maybe comedically so.
I think Sanji can just barely take on admiral Kizaru. If Kizaru tries to use everyone as hostages vs focusing on Sanji, that could be become problematic as it did with Luffy. Kizaru has a lot of ways he can bypass opponents and attack multiple targets. Sanji is willing to take hits to protect them. Zorro and/or Luffy presence could help protect others while Sanji focuses on defeating Kizaru.

Lucci is a good opponent for Zoro to be taken off of the battlefield. He needs to invest enough energy to keep a master assassin off the field but holding back incase he has to go back and go all out.
It also gives a reason for him to be gone so Senji can step up narratively. Zoro tanked a combo attack from Big Mom and Kiado. We needed him off the board so Senji can have his moment tanking an Admiral, and since Kizaru will likely flip this is his only chance before end game.
Jimbe will show up, inform Zoro it’s time to GTFO, they’ll bag him and go back to crew. Perseverves Lucci from being low diffed by Zoro and leaving his potential high, also doesn’t downplay Zoro. Lastly gives Senji a chance to show, him and Zoro are the top 2 on crew!
Exactly, people keep downplaying Sanji but they conveniently forgot that he carried the crew throughout the story, had it not been for him they wouldn't have made it this far. Back when it was just 5 or 6 crew members, the monster trio did all the heavy lifting, if Sanji was not part of the crew they wouldn't have even reached Sabaody. This is Oda showing how special Luffy is, he has not one, but two right hand men, and should one be occupied, the other is free to back him up, that power dynamic instantly makes the Strawhats one of the finest crews ever, perhaps close to Roger's since we still don't know much about them, for all we know Gaban was the Sanji to Roger's Luffy, given how many times he shows up in the flashbacks.

I dont get why Zoro struggling against Lucci is a bad thing. Lucci is probably equivalent to a top yonkou commander. Those guys tend to be pretty damn strong if you remember. Zoro just got out of his fight with King, yes he surpassed King during the fight and Zoro is a solid YC+ at this point but those in the YC1 category are still close to him in power. Zoro isnt low-diffing a YC1 unless he gets another power up.

@@mackniffy surprise surprise, monster trio isn't just related to strength, it's their dynamic that makes them the trio. Luffy, Zoro and Jimbei can be much stronger than Sanji and it still wouldn't change.
@@editimpact66 actually monster trio is all about strength it comes from Nami referring to them as monsters when considering them protecting the rest of the crew. Conversely you have the weakling trio that generally needs protecting (nami, chopper and ussop)
@@mackniffy almost all the time when the strawhats get separated there's one leading guy and they are always Luffy, Zoro amd and Sanji and that is also what happened in egghead, Luffy, the leader with Jimbei and Chopper, Zoro guarding the ship with Brook and Sanji leading the rest. Luffy was the one who fought Lucci, Zoro was the one who fought Kaku and when walking through the hall, Sanji was noticeably ahead of the rest meaning he's leading their group. If you think that's a stretch sure, you might not know how leading/protecting works.
The anime will probably fill out some of the fight spaces for zoro and lucci. they started doing that for the wano raid fights, because the truth is, Oda isn’t a fight artist. most of his biggest panels in fights have always been big clashes and big punches/attacks. not so much “throwing hands” . if we get more than half a chapter dedicated to throwing hands between zoro and lucci, i’ll be happy.
my top 5 fav straw hats has always been:
1# Bon Clay. 2# Frankie. 3#Zoro. 4# Sanji 5#Robin.
And Zoro/Sanji can basically share the same spot imo. I love both of them.
And I always believed Oda made Sanji a simp because Sanji would of been too cool.

Kizaru’s getting displinary action, def not a raise or 401k.
Even with his best intentions, it’d be like he was managing a shift at Wendy’s as head of security in which a robber came, stole everything from the store, and the head researcher from Wendy corporate came by to the branch and ended up seriously injured, and this all happened under his watch. That’s why Kizaru says I have to take some heads at least or it’s not looking good for me. He will go back to Navy HQ as a total failure.

Off topic, but what if we have Kaido run up on Impel Down to get his boys. We get more man power in the royal rumble with Kaidos crew. Other big names to gain from Impel Down's breakout... Doffy and Weevil. And they can go to Cross Guild and run up at the end as well.

Sanji is not beating an admiral before luffy.. makes no sense. stopping an admiral attack is something every commander has been able to do, why are we forgetting this

Man it makes perfect sense for zoro to be high/extreme diffing this fight. Luffy barely beat lucci pre time skip. Give lucci an awakening and some haki training he should still be that dude. Dude was the only one pre time skip to really give luffy that much trouble.

Has anyone considered that since the timeskip, Lucci has grown in his potential whereas Kizaru had already peaked back in the day? Lucci might be more powerful than Kizaru now.
Love one piece and love how oda writes his story. I know it's mainly memes but it sucks how many fans just look at the surface of the page and foam at the mouth when things don't align with their agenda. But we're all commenting and gassing up One Piece so 🤷
