Rob keeps it real and provides good info on dealing with situations and chores while nomading. I am surprised littlehouseontheroad does not have more subscribers. Littlehouseon theroad is better for good information than Carolyn's RV Life. Check out this channel.
Lets clarify this. Camo Dave isn’t a “news channel” as he would like to call it. He’s ridden the drama train to muddle along for the last three years. He started as a self proclaimed “Troll King” then as soon as he managed to get Carpetbeggar and Adam The Woo to come by and have lunch he flipped. Then he became a catalyst driving drama behind the scenes with Carpetbeggar while subtlety easing his money needs to people. He’s nothing but a forked tongue go with the tide RUclips addict studying socialblade and other youtubers incomes that he is using any flop scheme he can to earn. The latest buy an undershirt with a phrase he writes in permanent marker for $25.00 shows his desperation.
New people to his channel in the last year don’t know the history of Dave but he’s nobody’s friend. He has a crush on Adam the Woo and he is star struck by him. That’s why he has the interview as the top video you see when you go to his channel.
Blind Spews, same thing. Trolled and bashed nomads with caution but then turned his daily opinions and vape videos into a pro-nomad channel for cash. These guys want the past to die but it won’t and I’ll remind people of who and what they are everytime they become a topic of conversation.
You actually have been a nomad and actually have a legitimate reason for your channel. You give neutral objective views on a wide variety and don’t depend on focusing on certain people and things while asking people to buy your craft work.
The difference between you, Camo Dave and Blind Spews is You have integrity. They don’t. They’re two washed up creatures looking to subsidize their income anyway they can. Oh and they focus on the ones they like or have made a personal connection to as well.
Keep em on their heels bud. You have done a great job so far don’t change and keep going and I’m sure you will become the staple channel for people to see an objective view of the goings on in the nomad community.

Alter egos I can’t speak of other channels you mentioned because I’m not familiar with them. I do however totally agree with your opinion of Nomad news. Great news channel with informative content, and integrity.
maitilda mcintyre you’ve found the right channel to get a great view of what’s going on without all the fluff that the other two he spoke of.
I’ve always considered myself a good judge of character and honestly I get no ill feeling about Nomad News. He’s genuine and doesn’t stir up drama. He sees the lighter side of things and BOYT needs a lighter side instead of the same battles that go on forever it seems.

Hey Rav, We did it bought a motorhome and am now in sunny Florida, I purchaced a motorhome from a private owner and have had some trouble with it but nothing we couldn't handle. Life is so much more than 4 walls.

Yeah mixing up nomad coverage is a great idea! There are simply too many nomad channels for a couple of news channels to cover. Also, a nomad news channel hosted by someone living in the nomad community offers a fresh inside look too. Awesome idea!

@@NOMADNEWSTV that cool Rav thanks! I understand you are shooting from your place of employment which probably limits your shooting space. If you have the room, you might want to separate yourself from the background,
Lighting yourself and then you could really pop the colors on the wall. I understand if that's not possible. Also again, your head is really bulked up with the hat and large headphones. As they say "less is more"...think maybe losing the hat as you're indoors and using a less bulky pair. I know they are great quality though. And please loosen up--youre a little stiff and formal. You're talking about nomads, who are probably the loosest bunch of people out there. It should look like you're having fun, not reporting on the upcoming election season lol. You show a lot of respect for people who write in, perhaps a little too much if you know what I mean. Be yourself and have fun with it! And trim your intro graphic to 10 seconds. It's cool and stuff but nobody has patience to watch a 25 second intro anymore. Enjoy yourself--the viewers will pick up on your vibe!

Just a few short years ago, one had to search high & low for vanners, rvers & such. Now there are sooooo many, it takes awhile to find personalities that fit our personal choices. I also came from the days of bloggers. Remember Tioga George? I read his blogs back then. I think I found him through RUclips back then.

priola7 Casey Roman does travel in a Sprinter but you have probably noticed that ZERO of her little featurettes are on nomad living. In fact, when she DOES talk about the nomad life she is usually bitching about something - the heat, her van’s wiring, or being creeped out by other van life people - or outright making fun of the “Man Buns” and”Cleavage Caitlyns” living the vanlife.
Roman is using the “vanlife” hashtag to market her work, which has nothing to do with van life. But it’s an easy way to score a high return on Google search.

Loved this one Rav! My opinion for what it is worth. You are doing a great :service" to the nomad community including all types of Nomads. I find myself watching as many videos as time permits and yesterday I watched Bobs interview with Jarrod. Then I watched a couple of Jarrods videos and enjoyed them and subbed and commented. An hour later he replied to me...not just a "heart" but an actual reply like you and Paul do. That's the part I truly like about folks like you and the rest who actually interact with their audiences. And to add to this I believe you are helping other channels grow as well as your own by your "service" (sounds almost a military thank you I know) To give you an example as I leave you now on Saturday am I will be visiting Camo Dave, Blind Views, Rusty and the rest you have linked here at least until the fog burns off here so I can work on my rig. LOL And Yes I will most likely sub to those channels. Therefore the potential is here for much needed growth. My YT launch date is the 19th of this month and who knows someday you may be interviewing me or vice versa lol even tho my theme /niche/genre is not doing tours/interviews and the like but it could be integrated into one of my scripts/content. I began watching Rusty 78609 when he first started his channel. His growth has been very impressive...based primarily on his gift of gab. He speaks extemporaneously about a variety of subjects, and sometimes without a subject, and does it with aplomb, but not necessarily with accuracy. I finally heard enough "good ole boy" stories and homespun advice, and don't watch any more, but Rusty is worth a try. His RUclips earnings have certainly changed his life.
Currently, my favorite nomad channel is "Adventures of an Old Seadog."
Ahh yeah I’m jst discovering Rusty and I’d love to have some of whatever he has to grow my RUclips channel for sure. I’ve been at it literally for more than a decade with virtually no success on any real terms. I haven’t heard of the old Seadog headed there now to check it out

the city was my former home thing change 2 yr ago we try Stealth in City Only To find out what the change Was: The city requires all citizen to have parking permit "sticker" for they vehicle on residential streets 😭 the Police new video that can scan a license plate real the owner. this way the homeless owner stay off ~ they know secret parking off street alleyway since no parking enforcement ever show up yet can you tell homeless owner by pack item in the car or van 🐓
My truck is stealth they have no idea I’m in my truck but I have run into places that have signs that won’t let you park a commercial vehicle

Another great episode. I saw the interview of Jarrod by Bob Wells and liked it very much. It’s funny that you said a dead giveaway of a van lifer is window coverings in the side windows. I’ve done that for years just to try and keep my car cool inside when I’m away from it. But it’s not a van so it’s a different thing I guess. I think it’s great how you support small channels you enjoy. I’m gonna check out box truck Corey when I’m done here. If I sub I’ll be sure to mention how I found him. I also sub to Rusty. He’s a hoot. I agree that there’s room for multiple news channels. I have seen the other two recently and subbed, but only watched a couple of episodes. Their style of video is not my favorite. I like yours far better. I found them because of the cvk stv feud. I’m sure glad that seems to have blown over. Keep up the good work and safe travels. This a very personal and subjective thing, and we are all attracted to watching different personalities, but I don't like watching camo Dave.
I tried a couple of times, and he has a sardonic style that is amusing but is also somehow a bit unpleasant.
I've never been drawn to people who enjoy gossip, and that's how his channel strikes me. It seems to be mostly just him sitting in his house and giving his funny but slightly nasty commentary about the problems of people who live in vehicles. There is something almost parasitic about that.
But in fairness, that is just my own opinion, and he obviously appeals to lots of people because he has a fair few subscribers, so my take on him is clearly a minority view.
I guess RUclips is a game of opinions.
Yeah, lots of people don’t like me I try to keep it positive but you can never please everyone and I’m not into trying to. Thanks so much for the very real and thoughtful well written comment.

Hay I like your channel and your style . I appreciate that you have somewhat a handle on van life... I’ve been on the road for 4.5 years as of this date... I do have a RUclips channel that is moving up slowly... I do a lot of how to advice ( I’m a builder) for the older/ disabled nomad ( I’m 62 disabled) my audience has been mostly woman.
