Inside A Firefighting Basecamp

With four major fires burning across California and smaller ones springing up, literally thousands of fire fighters are deployed to basecamps where they gear up, hydrate, and get briefed before heading to the fire lines. Dozens of California Conservation Corpsmembers are currently working the basecamps where the Corpsmembers distribute meals and supplies, keep the grounds clean, and ensure the firefighters have an organized camp when they return.
