    I probably will never paint or buy this box, but hearing you describe your process on packing the painter's box was so soothing. I found that I was open mouth zoning out. I could blame the open mouth on allergies, but I know it's the magic of the calm piano music mixed with tranquil talk. RUclips recommended your channel, and I can't fault it. 💌🎨

    I suggest that you contact the seller about the crack in the paint tube drawer and ask them about it. It could eventually crack across the whole thing and cause the knot to fall out. They may send a replacement or tell you how to fix it.

    Your bulldog clips holding rubber markmarkers: Try using old wiper blades for economy, or a cut piece of icecream box and a metal feeler guage as spatulas. The great thing about feeler guages is the different steel thicknesses have different stiffness. Perfect for dabbing oil paint or spreading on larger areas. I woodturn peg handles with a slit in the end to hold the blade. Then I bind the 1/2 inch where the slit is with waxed whipping twine.

    Love the look of that box! What's the advantage of transferring the paint from those existing tubes into the blank ones? Couldn't you just put the blank ones to one side and fill that draw with tubes that are already full of paint? I get maybe if you want to pre-mix some paints and put them in those tubes but it seems so much effort to go to to otherwise simply move exact paint colours from one tube to another.

      That’s what I told myself for a year, but then I decided I was worth it. 😅 I think it’s cheaper on their website than on Etsy.

    I loved this video and wish I painted in oils. I am a watercolour artist and am just discovering gouache. Your detailed demonstration was extremely informative and your hacks are useful. Leslie I wish I had your soothing approach to art, it’s genuinely addictive. I am binge watching your videos now!😅

    Leslie, that kit is truly beautiful. Being a major fan of stationery & art supplies, I found this video tickled my fancy in such a delightful way 😊. I've been watching your content for several months now, and you've helped me to start experimenting with watercolours. I'm really enjoying it! I wonder if I'll get to a point one day when I can justify purchasing something like this... 🤔
    Sending you warm wishes, from Brisbane, Australia 🧡

    fabulous video again. thank you. the box is a work of art, love the combo of leather and wood; but, out of my price range . I do see the quality and artistry. Maybe one day. Love how you've added your hints and tips too.

    I have one of these boxes, it's utterly gorgeous & I love it! I had a thought about your knot hole in the draw, you could tape it on the inside & carefully add in some coloured (even sparkly) resin from the underneath of the draw which would be easier to sand/clean up if needed. Enjoy!

    So beautiful. I wish they would make these using vegan leather - I would get one for sure. This is perfect! I hope you love it ❤

    Wow, what a gorgeous box! I hope your M.Graham watercolors will dry. They made a mess in my travel palette 😟

      @LeslieStroz  7 месяцев назад +1

      Oh no! I did consider that, but decided this was probably the perfect place for them because the box will always be upright and the palette is open yet secure. We’ll see! 😊

    Could could try using the travel brushes that have a cover and you put it on the handle to extend it when using.

    • @LeslieStroz
      @LeslieStroz  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes and no. It will comfortably hold larger panels but I probably wouldn’t do anything larger than an 8x10. I’m planning on doing anything up to 5x7 with this box.
