Aero Commander 500-S. Fuel Exhaustion

Fuel exhaustion event involving an Aero Commander 500-S, ~6 km east of Bathurst Airport, New South Wales, Australia.
During climb, both engines failed due to fuel exhaustion and the pilot conducted a forced landing in this paddock.
Both engines look like they had flameouts, which could be a result of fuel leaks?
