thank you, you give me an opportunity to buy way cheaper inverter and then convert it to sine wave, I hope this will make those manufacturers consider to lower their sine wave price
Good job regarding the second half of the modification. But the first stage needs modification as it's set to output 270v dc, and you need at least 320v dc to obtain 220v rms ac at the output.
@@juliusparker3039 it could, if the transformers have enough headroom (primary:secondary more than or equal to 12:320), which are usually not, as they are usually designed for the cheapest functional ratio (12:270).
Help sir,i confused in IC ka7500b with 8 and 11 pin of h bridge in msw inverter stage 2 AC mosfet,in Egs002 there is 2 right and left with low and high pin,so there are 4 pin osilator, how can i connect to 8/11 of ka7500b?
Hello, why the VFB feedback (about 2.5V - 2.9V) does not work on the AC output voltage, as it is in most diagrams, that there is a 200k, 10k resistor, 10k potentiometer for voltage threshold adjustment, filtering capacitor. Even the original H-bridge from Aliexpress doesn't work because of this. Only installing a rectifier bridge between one AC output and common ground for everything and adjusting the voltage to about 2.7V gives the effect that the EGS002 does not see overvoltage or too low voltage at the H-bridge output after the 2.5mH-3mH choke and a 2.2uF capacitor / 630V that works approx.
This is a great video. Would have loved to the wave form of the original inverter and that of when you were done. But nice video. this proves that converting of old inverters can be done

I have a old mod sine inverter I'd like to do this with, it's a 12v 1200 watt, with good surge capacity, the sine wave hurts some equipment, like transformer in a small radio, and ballast in florescent light, so I do not use it, will this work with a low frequency Inverter? Or UPS? I haven't looked at it, but I'm thinking it may be a push pull, in the UPS, or is this high frequency only driver?
Hello homemade102! Questions: 1) Why do you use FR107 diodes and not 1N4148? 2) Why on the board that you made, the FR107 diodes, are connected to the reverse of what the EG002 datashett shows? 3) In my test of the circuit, I found in the oscilloscope, only PWM signals on pins 8 and 10 of EGS002 = pins 1 and 8 of U1 (IR2110S) = pins 29 and 30 of U2 (EG8010), but I don't have PWM on pins 27 and 28 of U2, not in pins1 and 8 of U3 (IR2110 S) and not in pins 3 and 6 of EGS002? Please, I await your reply! It is very important to me! Thank you very much!! From Argentina.
Good project . but you forgot to step up the dc level before H bridge . when you turn a square to sine without changing the dc voltage , effective amount of voltage will decrease . if you put a multimeter after converting it to sine it will show lower voltage than it had before .
Two questions: 1) Would you still have a decent sine wave under heavy load 1000W ? 2) Can I use this kit on a 110V 60 Hz 1100W (2200W surge) modified sine wave inverter ? Thanks !
A modified sine wave inverter has a lower output voltage than a real sine wave inverter. Without rewinding the high-frequency transformers, the efficiency will decrease. Try to reach 220/230 volts AC via the EGS002 and then measure the still possible output power and efficiency (watt input watt output). I would be very interested in a Part 2 with these results from this rebuild.
@@PhdHung Why 380 volts? It's a single-phase inverter. To effectively achieve 230 volts, 230 x 1.414 = 325 volts is required at the output. Aren't you wasting too much power in the transformer at 380 volts? Can you test the maximum Watt after rebuild? thx
4) I understand that the EGS002 board comes from the factory to operate in SINGLE PHASE !! And because of that, I only have PWM on pins 8 and 10 of the board. How can I enable the PWM on U2 (EG8010) to have modulated signal on pins 27 and 28 of this integrated circuit? I was comparing this board, with a similar one, that uses a PIC instead of the EG8010, but with the same two UR2110S, and I can see that the four signals (pins 3, 5, 8 and 10) have PWM !!! AND IT WORKS PERFECT !!! I await your valuable answer! Thank you very much!!
