1st item, if you do want to put real flowers in it, just place another smaller vase inside for holding water and flowers
K.i
Yes, good point !! Thank you 😊
omg thank you!!! i keep seeing ALL these ways to decorate glass but they all (but 1) show it by doing the INSIDE. But i wanted the option to put real 💐 or a floating candle!
@,free spirit great idea
That’s a great idea
👉👉👉 this is somewhat off topic but may be helpful to some. I have stenciled 100’s of things….walls, ceilings, doors…etc….to keep brushes from flaying simply wind a small rubber band (think bands for mouth braces)very near the end of your bristles……..remove for washing ….when brush is almost dry reapply the rubber band for the next project and to keep bristles from completely drying in frayed position. Use a small amount of laundry soap to clean brushes when painting with acrylic paint. The soap will leave a thin film on the bristles and they will be easier to clean the next time. NEVER set brushes on the bristles. Store brushes standing on their handles or laying flat. When long term storing , I keep them in a closed tackle box with moisture absorbers. Another hint, because I am often standing on a ladder or scaffolding I need a free hand to balance myself. As you are aware one needs something clean and dry to remove excessive paint from your brush. I simply use a medium size rubber band to attach either a paper towel or old wash cloth around my non-dominant wrist, turning it on the wrist as it becomes soiled. Replacing it when necessary. Hope these hints are helpful 🧑🏻🎨🎨
Thanks
Dollar tree has tiny clear hair ties like that
Thanks for your input!
Thank you! Great tips!
Very smart! These ideas are very useful. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Very nice. But I notice lately that the last project is cut off just before a final reveal.
You said that very politely. Thank you. My feelings are a bit more harsh right now.
@@farmerinthedells it was on the home talk part not your actual channel I thought it might be due to that. I look forward to seeing everyone's finished product. It isn't just yours was other hometalk ones too. The last ones are the ones that seem to not finish to the end.
What happened to the end?
At the end it continues on to another video.
That is because it was a preview at the end if you saw the "continue watching" part at the end, click on it...it's the whole video of it.
When I work with Gold Leafing I pick up small pieces of it with a pencil eraser to place it on my project. That way, it doesn't stick to your fingers and you don't waste any of it. And I save all of the scraps to be used on another project. You can also use Mod Podge to apply it. And a coat of it over the gold leafing to seal it. The white vase is beautiful! Nice work and great ideas!
Well, that second project turned out lovely. I guess.
I like the vase but i preferred the clear glass with the gold .
I did too, but I also think a dark color would really make the gold pop.
Unbelievably fantastic glass vase with the gold & white chalk.
Wow! That really turned out nicely
would have liked to see the second project when completed...???
WHY show half a video :?
I love it. Great for Holidays
So pretty! Thanks for sharing 😀
You explain the steps wonderfully. Thank you. God bless.
Beautiful! You are an excellent speaker! Wonderful tutorial ❤️
Very elegant. TFS🙏👍🤣🌹🌼God Bless you both.
When I look at a YT video about anything, what often determines when I view it, is its length, so realizing it has a second video to complete the second craft, I will try to check it out later, but the flow retained from the first video going into the second one will make it feel incomplete also.
This turned out very nicely. I’ve wanted to try the gold but changed my mind. After this I’m going to reconsider the idea.
beautiful!! thanks for sharing. blessed be.
Nice. Keep it coming.. Alway's amazing what a person, with a bit of flair, can make from such everyday items.
I love white and gold ! !
What happened to the finished product?
Exactly like wtf 😒
Very pretty and classy.
Good day! Beautiful decors!
Absolutely beautiful i love it looks very expensive!
.......they charge us "too much" for these things !
Now "we're smarter" ! !
Very Beautiful!!!
It turned out great, really classy!
Question, can you save the leftover bits of the gold leaf?
Yes, you can. Just have a container ready at hand to store it. It's very lightweight and will fly away.
Yes,."don't breathe" ! !
All you have to do is seal the vase and you can use water.
Didn't see the ending 🤷♀️
Is your projects are stunning. I absolutely love them
Beautiful and easy, thank you so much !! 🤎
Very nice but can someone PLEASE tell me why all the narrators in these instructive videos have "I'm gunna" itis? (The variant is "You're gunna.") What happed to just plain ole "I'll"? E.g. instead of "I'm gunna apply the glue" why not "I'll apply the glue" or even "Apply the glue.". Instead of "I'm gunna" use this or that technique why not simply "I'll use this or that technique. Instead of "Next you're gunna want to...", why not just "Next you'll want to...." Or leave out the "you" entirely as in "Next add the leaf" and so on. Burning questions!!!
@@karenryder6317 oh wow 😯! You know you could have just ended the video and watched something else. This is not an English class. Stop insulting these people. Just move on!
ARE YOU "SERIOUS" ? ?
😲. 😵
WHACKOS.....CAN'T ESCAPE THEM ! !
this is a very nice project. thank you
Beautiful!
Disappointing would have loved to see the finished product.
Excellent. Thank you.
Amazing! 😍❤️❤️
You need to show it until you take off the stencil. This is kind of frustrating not seeing the final result.
I like the white vase with the gold leaf edging. If you wanted to put real flowers in it you could always set a smaller vase inside to hold the water and the flowers.
Beautiful
Where is the view of the finished second craft? Why does the video finish incomplete? Where is the final reveal?
What happened to the final reveal of the gold leaf door panel?
gorgeous
Cover the inside with water proofing
I should have watched the 1st video more than once. I didn't do thin layers of spray paint. I basically stuck the can of spray paint inside the vase. Do NOT do this because it runs immediately. I ended up using Citristrip to scrape all the paint along with the copper leaf I used. NOTE: applying adhesive with a paint is tricky too because it'll cause brush marks that show up afterwards. Im going to start over and use a thin foam brush and see if that eliminates brush marks.
Try it a few times on inexpensive dollar tree vases.
We used to use it for nail designs.
Didn't get to see the end result of the last project.
It's in the attached video on the screen
@@navyak1915
Thank you.
I love it
Folks .. do yourself a favor and set your playback speed at 2x ... wish the speed option was at least 4x!
OMG, the video doesn’t show you the finished gold leafing project.why on earth wouldn’t you put it on its own video?
Great ideas
Niceeee!!
Amazing, love from Qcrafts
Where do you get those gold sheets? That looks stunning 😍
They are everywhere, online, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart......👍
do they have a pink instead of gold?? I'm getting my 1st great grandbaby. in September
WOW......Great idea but I've never ever seen pink gold leafing.
Only silver and gold.
How about you do the top with baby pink paint and very fine baby pink glitter?
💗. Congratulations ! !
Can you give us the name of the can for painting the inside of the glass thanks
Pretty
So where was the finished vase at the end?
would have been nice to see the finished product with the gold sheets - really??
👏👏👏
What is the glue type of thing used before applying gold leaf
Please can someone tell me what is the first think that was pasted around the edge plse
"Gold leafing glue"...... you can use thin coat of decoupage (Modpoge) glue or a liltte bit of water added to white elders glue.
How did it turn out
Wait. Did I miss something? I didn't see the second project completed. there were just the words "keep watching", then it was over.
The video is incomplete! 🙁
What happened to the end of the 2nd video showing how to stencil?
The gold stencil stops without seeing the end! What's the point!
💝✨✨✨✨
Was it me, or was there a fly that got painted over lol. 🤷
Como se puede conseguir ese papel dorado?
The last craft why didn’t you show it 🤦🏾♀️
I gave it a thumbs down simply because the 2nd project wasn't completed in this video but you had to go and watch another video to see the results.
To be continued ?
Will water damage the inside?
Yes, it will make the paint peel. But as someone mentioned in a different comment you can add a smaller vase inside if you want real flowers.
Or protect inside with several thin coats of paint protectorant......or use beautiful silk flowers on clearance at Hobby Lobby !
Why paint on the inside? Can’t use it like that.
It definitely looks modern rather than any antique I've seen.
But a whole lot better than that ridiculous hose pipe vase!pot...whatever it was 🤣
Not a fan of gold leaf not my style although it is pretty
I liked the vase with plain glass instead of the white.
Why share others channel content with out giving credit ?
What happened on the second project??????????? Frist vase was great; second part sucked. Who shows a project, but not how it turned out?????!!!👎🏻👎🏻
It maybe a good project, but never that it is a expansive, unless is a person with a limited education and experience!
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say exactly..🤔. If I don’t like the content I usually just move on to the next video, just that simple
Exactly ! !
You didn’t show the results!!! 👎🏻
Did not like it sorry.
And you did not show the end, how the stencil turned out.
Well the last one was worthless
MAJORITY OF AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE WORTHLESS ! !
Actually that vase looks like an old trash can to me
The first video was great, it moved along, not too much talking. The second, she could have talked and worked at the same time. She spent waaaaaayyy too much time explaining. When you make these videos, try doing your talking AS YOU ILLUSTRATE!
For the cost of gold leafing that first one is not worth the investment.
Gold leafing pad is less than $4.00-$3.00 dollars ! !
Where do you live ?
😲
That looks like absolute garbage. Thanks for showing everyone what not to do 😂
Beautiful
