Good ideas, I have a lot of glass and frames to sort after the decorating and I also thought the cake tray was a great idea for the paints, all round very useful, Thank you so much ✨
I just wish there was more instruction. Even when you flash a product to camera you don't show the whole thing so still don't know what you used. Love the Hometalk diy's but thinking of unsubscribing because channel is not teaching me much.
Same. I didn’t know what the majority of the stuff was that they were using. What’s the point of watching? I’m sure it’s been done before somewhere else on RUclips, so they’re going to lose subscribers if they don’t explain.
Yes!! That can happen very quickly! Common Sense would dictate Caution!!! I'd certainly suggest doing research & Following Instructions/Directions of product! Along with practicing the techniques. Using proper equipment, safety glasses for sure. Doing it outside w/ extinguisher possibly.
I'D be MUCH MORE WORRIED about THE SLEEVES on her Top! 😬 That FIRE is WAY to close for comfort with those SLEEVES!! Be cognitive of such HAZARDS!! Only takes a second to start a massive fire!!! Careful... 🥴
Yeah, I was thinking the same. Definitely not a well thought out video, if only for lack of proper safety precautions and warning. Could lead to property damage & serious injury... especially if a child or inexperienced young person tried some of these projects.🔥💥🚭
I really like what you did with the glass using glue but when you show the products you couldn't really see what you were using So I was wondering if you can please show the products that you were using to make a lot of this look like stained glass thank you
I think she used ink and rubbing alcohol.... but yes, it would be nice if some of these videos that have such wonderful ideas, would show us all products needed per project, just before showing you how to do them.... maybe they'll read the comments and do another video. But I absolutely loved everything in the video! Especially with today's economy
@chris You can slow the speed down to something more comfortable with the RUclips controls. By posting the content slightly speeded up, we actually get more video. I'm with you about the directions. I'd love to see a materials list for each project in the description. I really like a lot of the projects! 🖐🏼🙆🏽♀️✌🏽
These are usually videos they have already played on their RUclips with explanations. You can try looking in their history. The only thing is that sometimes the videos are mixed with other videos and they are a little hard to find.
@@auntissie Hi! I think this will get you to the playback speed. When the video begins to play, pause it, click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, and look for Playback: Normal (or something like that). Click it and you should have other options to choose for the speed. Good luck!
Wow! I absolutely love this! I think my favorite one, was the last one, where it looked like frosted panes! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas! .... Quick question though... Have you ever had a glass break on you before from burning the alcohol off? I was watching you do that (which I loved btw!) But, I was worried about it breaking
Looks great many diffent ideas. I noticed that the colour was much paler when dried, do you just put more paint in the glue to overcome that or will that ruin the texture?
These are lovely, but I would finish off the inside of the Stainglass pieces like the doors with the hard mod podge, couple of coats. So you can wipe it down with a damp cloth to dust it once in a while, and not wet the Elmers glue at all.
Most teaching videos state what the products are or offer links in the drop down box so we can successfully create a desired outcome. Excellent art ideas though.
Most of the projects are faux or fake stained glass using glue and acrylic paint, a couple used alcohol ink which are the small squeeze bottles. You seal with a clear spray paint or mod podge if it's not being exposed to the elements. As someone stated the videos here do not give credit to the original creators unfortunately.
I like these a lot, but do you have anywhere that tells us what to buy to do these projects? I can see some of the things, but the video moves so fast I don't get all the products that you use.
Do you use alcohol ink for everything? The creations are beautiful but barely any instructions as the products are shown in a flash and nothing is linked in the comments like other YT channels to purchase or have a better idea of the materials to use. Please consider for next videos.
Those were some neat ideas, but like the other commenters, the video isn't much help without knowing what products you used. The main example is toward the end when you dipped balloons in paint. What did you mix the paint with? Even a list of products in the info section would be a start, but a voiceover giving instructions and naming the products would be best.
Will now search for other RUclips channels to answer questions that this brought up. Wouldn't the heat from the sun loosen the glue? Do we have to use glass paint? Etc...
Buring the alcohol off makes the colors more intense and durable. Be careful because the alcohol is flammable. Also, you will need to spray the finished product with a clear coat like Krylon spray to keep it from wearing off.
All that amazing color from alcohol ink disappears fast because alcohol inks are not lightfast. I really wish creators would disclose this. You will be able to enjoy that brilliant color for a few months at most.
I think they used alcohol inks. I think where she put the marker inside the bottle, it was filled with alcohol to make your own. She used black paint and white glue to make the stained glass lines.
A lot of the projects are using alcohol ink (the ones involving fire). The others are acrylic paint and glue mixed to do stain glass effects. I agree, it needs at least captioned.
I wouldn't go as far as saying useless. Just throwing out there the Ideas is great! I kinda thought it was obvious the Products being used. However, think I'm certainly with those who would've Appreciated some captions. 👉❤ I Loved this vid though❤👈
You should have a safty warning accompanying this video. It is quite dangerous setting fire to a pane of glass, even though it did not burn for long. People have been badly injured trying to follow other people's videos, regarding working with glass.
If the setting on fire step is about drying the ink quickly, I don't think that it's necessary... Alcohol inks air dry, albeit slowly in comparison. Perhaps the fire changes the look somehow, but it wasn't apparent in the video. 🤷♀️
A LOT of this fire is unnecessary. Yes it may change the design a bit, but alcohol and fire are a dangerous combination. These will still look nice without using it if you are somewhere this is not possible to do safely.
Nice compiliation but useless from an educational point of view. You'll get a much better rating (and following) if you break up each project into a separate how-to segment.
So this is NOT a diy video. This is just an advertisement. DIY videos share the product names. Without that sharing, this video is useless. I assume you are monetizing the sharing part.👎
Question? Why did you set those "inks?" I think that's what they are on fire? Is it just for the effect? Or do they always have to be in order to set them? I've never worked with it. TIA you do beautiful work!!
I am not trying to be critical of Hometalk. I generally enjoy their videos, and I have several saved in my files. BUT this one? I got nothing out of it. I couldn't begin to follow this jumping around on that one. I'm disappointed. Some of the projects look like they might be pretty...but heck! I need to know what I need and SLOW down for goodness sakes! Hopefully the next Hometalk will be better. 😬
🔥Not a good idea to burn yourself or set somebody's house on fire... Might want to edit title & description with safety precautions. Risky when you put things out there for anyone, anywhere & of any age & experience level to experiment with... Not to mention doing so without proper equipment/supply list & instructions.🔥🚭💥
The sun table was gorgeous!
This looks interesting but knowing what products are being used would definitely be helpful.
I totally agree.

Definitely going to be trying some of these. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great ideas. The looks are fantastic, high price looks.
I love the Sun idea sooo beautiful
Wow amazing!
Wow! An amazing approach to art. Everything is gorgeous. Fun watching you do it too.
Now I want to go catch some glass on fire! What a beautiful color effect. Very lovely faux stained glass too. Lovely ideas 💛💛
Yes some instructions or exclamations are the products that use would be very very helpful otherwise none of us can replicate the stuff your Meg
Super cool!!
Wicked good I love these!
Please don’t go setting alcohol on fire on glass. The glass can break and shoot glass out.

She made her own alcohol ink using the inside felt of a Sharpie marker. You can make your own or buy them from Michael's or Hobby Lobby.
