- The third biggest sporting event in the world is set to kick-off this weekend. It's never been more competitive, so many countries have the opportunity to write their names in the history books.
In this video I'll give my predictions on the winners of each pool, taking into consideration all the factors leading up to the World Cup. I'll also let you know who I think should be the favourites to win this tournament, the overall top point scorer, try scorer and player of the tournament.
With international superstars coming together from all over the world to play for some countries, while others rely only on domestic leagues, will we see a shift in rugby moving forward?

@@uggy 🤣 ANYONE who even attempts to predict the Pool A/B 1/4ers is either clairvoyant or easily parted with their money any of them teams can turn the other over and there is no clear favourite I do get the feeling that most of the SH pundits are putting Ireland down solely based on previous WC's but what they fail to see is that this is not the same Irish team or squad of old we have basically insane depth something that we never had we have gone through adversity and yet always find a way of winning but most importantly Ireland have beat ALL T1 nations home and away this WC cycle something that no other team has managed... but time will tell
@@joelyons886 agree mate 💯% also, All Blacks and Ireland both probably have the least disruptions, first choice squads and form (besides one game for the AB’s). They’ll be super good.
@@uggy so happy for Fiji so many a year of playing second fiddle in the SP and losing players to the big teams but now they have really stepped up and getting the rewards they were always that team that was always just on the crest of doing something great... could that be this WC??? Also Argentina since their inclusion in the Rugby Championship they have built and built and built and for me are Semi-final bound in part thankfully due to the draw but that shouldn't diminish their increasing value and position in the pecking order

The most competitive World Cup indeed. And it's crazy that two of the four biggest candidates are going to be 100% out by Semifinals (All Blacks, France, Ireland and Springboks, they meet in Quarter Finals guaranteed).

Wales are good when they field the A side. The side that smashed England in Cardiff. They were completely different teams in the other matches Aus are constantly doing their best and can't buy a win. I’d would argue two points. Your group game prediction, NZ lost 2 games back to back, at home only last November. France have amazing depth and are playing at home. They have a much better pack , and the backs are peppered with a GOAT, Penaud, Ramos etc. NZ will lose this one. Also DuPont will definitely get player of the tournament.
France will beat NZ on Friday. And sorry Bokke but you aren't all that. I think the Boks will definitely drop a game in the pool stages. I think they are incredibly 1D. Big, fat, slow forwards can be run around by a smart team. I've seen post office boxes do the the SA pack in sprints. SA have shown their hand and it's Aces and eights, the dead slow mans hand.
