- Moen motion sensor activate deactivate enable or disable kitchen faucet Cadia model number # 87869ewsrs
Motionsense wave. This faucet is about year old And was giving us temperature problems fluctuating from super hot to cold randomly.
God willing this video helps the universe 😊
Omg! After 3 hours and countless other videos, this one actually worked. Thank you, but tomorrow I’m getting an old fashioned “use the handle” faucet. This thing has been nothing but trouble. You helped me get my dishes done tonight!
Awesome video. Finally decided to reactivate my Moen Delaney after 5 years. This has a sensor on the base and on top of the spout arm. I replaced all 6 batteries, but unfortunately, the flow is not as strong as if you operate the lever manually. But good enough for now. The base sensor works only if you wash your hands/pots but as soon as you leave, it shuts off. But if you want the water to flow continuously, wave on/off over the top sensor. Thanks again.
I have two sensors and only wanted the front one off. Found the manual online and it worked!! Cover both sensors with your hands for five seconds while the water is running. That’s it!! Success!
I needed these instructions. Thanks to @jodic8952. It worked!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for posting this, you saved me hours trying to figure this out! THANK YOU!
That did the trick! Had to go through sequence twice after replacing batteries. I will stay deactivated as it was just annoying and I didn’t trust it to go off and stay on and cause a flood.
Don’t know how you figured this out but you are outstanding.
Thank you for taking time to upload this video, your video helped me to reactivate my faucet which I accidentally disabled the sensor.
Thank you so much for saving lives here . I was fed up changing the batteries as they would run out so fast. This product from Moen has some serious problems if the battery is discharged you can’t even on/off manually.
Thank you so much. Been stracthing my head how to deactivate motion sensor for my moen faucet.
Thank you. your video instruction saved me a lot of time.
Thank you so much! I have been pulling my hair out with this thing!
Thank you! The cat was turning on the faucet all the time! haha! Thank you again! Hallelujah!
Welcome!!
The instruction manual should just have a link to this video, thank you! 😆
Worked for me! Thanks....Monen Hire this guy to troubleshoot for you!
That’s Awesome, lol thanks
Thank you! 🙏
No longer have the instructions.
Forgot how to deactivate thank you
Best video ever thank you so much!!
Thanks!
Thanks a lot . It worked for me too
You're welcome!
👍🏻 Great Info! I was able to fix my faucet as well. Take care :)
👌👌👌Thanks.
Thank you for this!
After disabling, will using it manually still use battery power?
With the sensor deactivated, can you operate the faucet "manually" by using the faucet handle and moving it left/right to turn on/off?
Yes you can. But as a reminder and Thanks to genius manufacturer for the lunacy, this model faucet will not work at all without batteries.
Will the batteries still drain with the sensor off?
Does anyone have any mods for this model? We would like to change the linearity of the valve positioning. It is difficult to get a low flow unless you are very precise with the handle position. The manufacturer made this thing waste a lot of water by not programming it correctly. We would also like to figure how to limit the open valve position when the sensor is triggered.
Good idea , even better would be to have faucet work without batteries … but what do we know right
I have the exact same sink and I tried this and it didn't work, not sure if maybe I have a different model but for me you have to start from the cold position not the hot. So for anyone that this does not work for try starting from cold, also starting from cold I only had to do 3 movements not 4.
Can the batteries be removed after disabled the sensor?
Moen designed this to only work with batteries, no batteries no faucet horrible
Do we need to keep the battery in in order for it to be turned off permanently?
Batteries are so expensive at the same time they don’t last for long
What’s worse is that this faucet requires six AA batteries
The expenses are not worth it
So I’d like to know if I remove the battery will I still be able to use the faucet after deactivating?
Unfortunately, the geniuses at Moen made this to only work with batteries .no batteries, no faucet .
Why? Only the almighty dollar knows 🤦🏽♂️
what if. i want to just not use the motionless and use it as a regular faucet? can we do that?
Awesome question, really not sure. Think might be not be possible due to horrible design of sensor built in.
Maybe others can advise?
What about if its blinking blue alot an the water won't even turn on with either
replace batteries
I am afraid it didn't work for me either.
Blow your nose
Did not work for me 😢
Me either. I have the type with the sensor on top too. Wondering if that makes a difference
Remember to cover the sensor while rotating handle 3-4 times
Mine doesn't work. It doesn't start when we want it to and does not stop we we try to. I have put a black tape on sensor and try to operate it as a regular faucet. Even then there are times when the manual lever doesn't work.
This is poorly designed faucet. Stay away.
Please letvme kmow stopped working cant wash dishes
Yeah found out it’s a horrible design
If batteries go bad we’re stuck with non working faucet 👎🏽
You said go down 3 times. You went down twice and up twice. Doesn't work either way.
My faucet leaks for no reason
Try replacing batteries
Thank you!
Thank you!!
Doesn’t work for me😢
