Thank you so much. I am glad you mentioned it makes a noise when you replace the batteries. At first it didn't, only to realize I had placed one of the batteries incorrectly. I almost went to store to get a new set of batteries because the ones I replaced were store brand. Good thing I checked. You saved me time and money. Thanks again. 🙏🙏🙏
My moen sink stopped working because of the dead batteries. You just truly saved me from a terrible headache. Incredible thank you!!! Your video was clear and extremely helpful!👏👏👏👏👏👏
We just completed a kitchen remodel and we have an almost exact version of this faucet. Three weeks after completion the sensor is not working. I feared the worst! Your video solved the problem!! I Didn’t even know it had batteries 🪫 Thank you!
Many thanks Mike! Was very helpful. Especially since my builder installed it in some spot that was impossible to see so I had to fumble around blind 😂. You really helped me out 🙏🙏
@@MikeKlimek Yeah, if I had to do over again, I would definitely put it in front. My wife mentioned that I was probably just ready to be done with the project because I had spent about four hours taking the old piece of crap out of place and then about 45 minutes putting the moen in the place. I think also there was aesthetics that I was thinking about with respect to her. But yes, if I had to do over, I would definitely put it in front! As is, it’s just like a double stick adhesive on the back, right? If I’m careful I could probably take it off and put it in front, yeah?
@@bivensrk Yes I think mine has small screws...sounds like you will either spend time under the sink to move it or replace the batteries every 6 months or so. Fast job either way
Some touchless faucets will work if the batteries die and some won't. You might look at the battery box to see if there is a small switch or dial to turn in the event this happens.
@@MikeKlimek Yes, but I understand the need for a call-out base price. I just wish she had told us about the faucet first, so we could have done it, (after watching your video, of course!) lol! The bright side is that she liked him and he can do other things around her house, too.
We have had our faucet for one year and have replaced batteries six times. That is even with sensor off. That seem like a lot of batteries. Are we doing something wrong?
Please help: I had the blinking light thinking my Moen needed new batteries. I replaced them and the water automatically turned on for a second when I plugged in the power cord and then shut off. (I tried manually turning on the water with the handle and no water comes out.) I tried unplugging and plugging back the data and power cords (data first then power letting it cycle and then reverse order when that didn't work); same thing; a few seconds after I plug in the power cord, the water turns on for a second and then stops and I can't manually turn on the water and the sensors won't respond. I called Moen's help desk and they said the data box likely needs to be replaced. I got a new data box from Moen, swapped it out and same problem. Water turns on for a second after I plug in the power cord then nothing. Any advice? I'm out of ideas. Thank you in advance!
You've done every reasonable thing. I would call Moen back and let them know the new box didn't help and let them send you some free parts to correct the issue. 1-800-BUY-MOEN
I have a HGN Toucheless faucet read somewhere after you change battery you may have to reset facet but found no🤷♀️ further info on Reseting anyone know about this my facet no coming on after changing battery, help😳
Quick question. When you replace the battereis, is there is any reason you take three old ones out and keep the rest in while putting the new ones in. Is there is any reason for that? Just checking. If I replace all the old ones at a time and put the new ones (all together) later is that making any difference? Nice video, appreciate it.
Lol no reason at all. The space was cramped and the way the camera was situated I was only using my left hand. Could’ve easily taken out all six and replaced them at the same time.
It could be several things, but try turning the supply valves off, remove the batteries for a minute, put them back in, and then turn the valves back on. You may get lucky
My guy was good. He installed it exactly where you said he should. Thanks.
LOL He sounds like a keeper!
Excellent demo. Saved me time; no need to search for manuals. No water this morning. The sensor is a pain. Thank you, thank you!
You're welcome! Glad to help you

I thought I was going to have to call the plumber. 👎 It was the batteries all along. Really easy fix. Thanks for the easy to follow video! 😀👍

Thanks! I was babysitting and had no idea where to look to replace the batteries.

Thank you I thought I had work to get it fix. I found the battery box.

Thank you, sir that was a big help😊

Your video made me think “WTH did I put the pack way in the back?!” I might not have thought it thru haha! Awesome video!!
LOL! Next time I bet you put it in the front!

My dad who installed the faucet said the same thing... he said when did that battery pack get installed?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the video! Helped me so much

Thx Mike!

When the battery runs out does the faucet still work with the manual lever ?

Eeeeek! Thank you for this! ❤ ❤ ❤ Had I known this, I would have stopped elderly mom from paying some guy $150 to do it.
Awww that's a lot of money!

Mike, do you know how to use an ac adapter instead of batteries for the Moen motionsense faucet? Thx
Try calling 1-800-BUY-MOEN and ask about compatibility
How does the water come out without using the sensor?
You can control the flow by using the handle as well as the sensor
How do you replace the batteries and plug it in an outlet?
Thank you!!
You're welcome Stephanie!
How long on average these batteries last? Thanks
It depends on the usage, but I would say around 1 year.
I have the same faucet and it is showing signs of weak battery. Do we not have to unplug the power and sensor before replacing the battery?
You can, but I didn't. You will probably hear a "click" when you replace the batteries as it re-energizes.

Wow that is crazy! I don't have an explanation

You might try removing the batteries, turn off the water supply valves under the sink, reinstall the batteries, and turn the valves back on.

I have no water in my sink…sensor light blinks but no water. Can 5urb on.manually either. I can not get cover off battery cover please help
Should have said no water on manual either
After I replace the batteries, the water turns on and then stops and then when I walk away, it goes on stop on stop on stop

we changed the batteries and now its dripping
brand is delta
Duracells aren't the cheapest batteries on the planet.
