i know this is kinda old but i was wondering where does someone start to learn and get into making vfx for games ? im so interested in making spells and effects i have lots of ideas i just dont know wherr to start what or what to use
Get familiar with a 3D & a 2D package as these are where you make the fundamental parts of most VFX. Blender is free & can do a lot of simple stuff. Then get UE4 & follow some particle tutorials.
Cgwell provides these tutorings but its exclusively for chinese people which sucks. I am willing to pay them hundreds of $$$ just to learn but they shut it off to the entire world. Whats the point in showing these off
Would you give paid lessons about this kind of game vfx? I'd be so pleased to pay for that!
