If you made a Powerpoint for every separate Prankster mon, I wouldn't be mad at all. All of them use that ability in WILDLY different ways, and enable so much bullshit (even fucking Riolu with it's infinite loop set)
I didn't know fairy lock existed before now! What a cool move! I imagine it's ridiculously specific to build around, but as a secondary effect of a move on the right pokemon that could be really strong.
My favorite Fairy-type to this day. Fuck the haters: considering fairy lore of key theft, the implementation into the first new Steel/Fairy type was genius. It's the similar kind of cleverness as Disney's adaptation of "invisible servants" from the original Beauty & The Beast into sentient house objects. I love it!
Yeah, if you told me there was fairy in Irish legend that stole keys left lying around but could also be used to keep your house safe by giving it keys for safekeeping, I would believe you.
Let's also throw in that object mons are based off those Yo-kai that are based on century-old abandoned objects. Half the locks those keys fit into are probably abandoned buildings.
If there was a tier list of pokemon that are underestimated by the casual fanbase, this menace would be top 5 in both how strong it is and just how severely downplayed it is!
This is one of the biggest example of a pokemon's competitive viability changing people's perception on them. If it didn't get prankster it would have been as memorable as klingklang lol
Once on showdown, I went up against someone with only 3 mons. Level 1 Trevenant, fear aron and some other one i can't remember. Thinking to myself, "I'm going get swept, aren't I." Lead Kelfki, switcheroo toxic orb turn 1. They forfeit right after.
I remember Pokeaimmd playing Anything Goes when that was introduced back in Gen 6. But instead of Mega Rayquaza or a bunch of UBERs, he used 6 Klefki. Absolute chad team
Uuugh. This is a pokemon I dislike playing against, in the same vein as Landorous, but unlike that orange mass that just does random crap, I at least get the delight of Klefkei being peak diegesis. It epitomizes its theme in every facet of its being, and really makes me feel like I am, in fact, deading with strange, magical creatures. This thing is soooo weird, but it feels like the fairy equivalent of a oppossum or platypus
I love how the pokedex tries to ground its design a bit by talking about its diet and stuff. It's honestly so cool, especially considering it was done on klefki rather than an animalmon. It's the small things
This isn't relevant but im really bad at remembering to do things regularly and your daily vids deadass make me remember to do my clicks for palestine, i really appreciate the support you give to them, both the more overt ways such as your stream to raise funds for gaza a while back as well as quieter ways such as the reminders on the screen and the link in your description 💕
Building the foul play klefki to use against my friends when first learning competitive way back and my friends didn’t know was one of the funniest things I have ever done
I love Klefki so much. My favourite fairies are little bastards with disruption and support moves. And some people just hate the design, huge upside for me.
I like using it in NU with choice specs steel beam, tera water tera blast, and switcheroo. Different from normal sets but everyone expects prankster shenanigans
With Switcheroo, Klefki can give a Life Orb to an ally Pokémon that finished setting up for even bigger damage. Klefki can also use Steel Beam... for emergencies :)
one of two mons that make me wish prankster never existed, and yet i still have to force myself to use it at some points if i want to win (unlike serene grace where i outright refuse to use that ability)
Not a competitive player, but I can confirm that switching a sweeper into double light clayed walls is an unbelievable power trip. Your team basically has double HP for 6 turns .
Klefki TCG Facts: despite being a newer Pokemon, there have been no less than three strong Klefki cards in competitive play. One gave all your fairy type pokemon a -40 resistance, which was part of a strong fairy-type archetype that had a strong matchup against powerful Yveltal EX decks during the winter of 2014-15, one could turn itself into a Pokemon Tool and attach itself to one of your pokemon, preventing it from being damaged by Mega Evolutions for a turn (although this was more often used as a cheap way to get more pokemon in the discard pile for decks centered around Vespiquen AOR), and one more recent one currently sees play due to its ability to lock down ability usage for both players from their Basic Pokemon. It's never been the unequivocal star/centerpiece of any deck, but multiple Klefkis have found strong support roles in the history of the TCG.
I walled the shit out of my one friend's team with klefki when gen 6 came out. Then last year he died of cancer. I think it's related, but i dont regret what i did
i want to counter one of your claims. "Klefki is a wild Pokemon" This is categorically not true. To be used in competitive it needs to be caught, which, by definition, makes it not wild. Do your reseach! /jk
The power of Prankster. This thing can be the key to victory
Good one
I literally just saw you under the new Solid jj vid
Prankster is insane. It really unlocks so many possibilities
If you made a Powerpoint for every separate Prankster mon, I wouldn't be mad at all. All of them use that ability in WILDLY different ways, and enable so much bullshit (even fucking Riolu with it's infinite loop set)
Riolu has Prankster??????
@@seasaltsky riolu has it as a hidden ability but loses it for justified as lucario
@seasaltsky hilariously this led to prankster copycat shenanigans in sword and shield
Extremely apt timing, Wolfe just lost on stream to a Klefki end game against Stephan Mott less than an our ago
no way what
Posting this video right after Wolfe gets defeated by a Klefki on stream is such a funny coincidence
Honestly it's pretty cool how Kelfki's design plays into it's role in competitive
It's got all those keys for a reason and I love them for it
I didn't know fairy lock existed before now! What a cool move! I imagine it's ridiculously specific to build around, but as a secondary effect of a move on the right pokemon that could be really strong.
if only it dealt chip damage
Swagger Klefki sounds like some secret meta game threat that keeps the game in balance lmao

To be fair, it wasnt back in gen 6. even casuals constantly saw it in online matches.
Not even 5 seconds in and I got Kerprank'd
I've heard outsiders to competitive call klefki useless
Yeah right
yeah those people are so wrong lmao this pokemon is goated
This is one of the biggest example of a pokemon's competitive viability changing people's perception on them. If it didn't get prankster it would have been as memorable as klingklang lol
I immediately loved Klefki when it came out, it immediately sold me on the new Fairy type being added.
Before watching this video, if anyone told me Numel had a niche in Gen 6 Anything Goes, I would have considered them insane.
Very informative!
The Swagger + Foul Play combo should be "Foul Swagger", which just sounds cool.
3:00 Darkrai used to be in the Top 5 of Anything Goes. Now it has dropped to OU. Holy power creep
to be fair, klefki's arguably top 5 and that thing isn't even OU
Is it power creep? I just assumed it was Smeargle's fault
Dark Void got nerfed in gen 6 or 5
Darkrai got so mad at its nerf that it got sleep banned
I remember Pokeaimmd playing Anything Goes when that was introduced back in Gen 6.
But instead of Mega Rayquaza or a bunch of UBERs, he used 6 Klefki.
Absolute chad team
Klefki is PEAK fairy pokemon design. The thing that can one-shot a three headed dragon can also be used as a baby toy.

In lower tiers, it also runs damp rock rain dance with steel beam to die quickly
Also pretty good in VGC generally, came in second at OCIC 2023 on Alberto Lara’s team, klefki’s strongest soldier.
I love how much people Klefki. it's just a funny little guy.
some klefki sets proceed to kill itself with steel beam after setting hazards
Wanted to make a correction here: Oblivious doesn't make Numel immune to confusion, that's Own Tempo, another ability it has.
I always find it so funny when i see cute little pokemon put next to huge legendaries in competitions
Honestly; every little prankster is well deserving because they all are so unique. Almost like they are just...little pranksters.
I love you posting this right alongside using the klefki Charizard team lmao
Tzeentch's favorite baby, no doubt.
Klefki really is a brilliant Pokemon in terms of both art direction and game design. I love my little thieving fae.
I used to run full HP and Def, Draining Kiss / Flash Cannon /Thunderwave / Calm Mind.
It won me a lot of games, good times...
I love Klefki so much. My favourite fairies are little bastards with disruption and support moves. And some people just hate the design, huge upside for me.
Calling klefki the "chaos demon" and not including a single jevil reference is foul
I like using it in NU with choice specs steel beam, tera water tera blast, and switcheroo. Different from normal sets but everyone expects prankster shenanigans
I just love this little guy.
With Switcheroo, Klefki can give a Life Orb to an ally Pokémon that finished setting up for even bigger damage. Klefki can also use Steel Beam... for emergencies :)
Was so disappointed in the Prankster Swagger ban because I was a Fairy E4 for an online group at the time.
I love how some of the most uninspired pokemon designs can be monsters in competative in the right conditions (see gen 8 vanilluxe)
Wolfe needs to take notes!
We love to see our lion killing jingling thing in AG for being downright horrendous
one of two mons that make me wish prankster never existed, and yet i still have to force myself to use it at some points if i want to win (unlike serene grace where i outright refuse to use that ability)

klefki my beloved...

Screens klefki scares me
Wow really good timing for this video huh LOL
Funniest Pokémon in the game
Klefki also gets points for being one of the few Pokemon ever to have Heal Block on a competitive set, namely in gen 6 UU.
2:54 was not expecting a reference to a musical I was in this year to be referenced in an electricwindgirlfriend video, lol
I walled the shit out of my one friend's team with klefki when gen 6 came out. Then last year he died of cancer. I think it's related, but i dont regret what i did
Boo-boo Keys let's GOOOOOO!
Klefki is the best pokemon in every way especially design
perfect timing after it beat wolfe at louisville
I don't know whether I love or hate that a keychain is one of the strongest Pokémon in the meta. 🤣
Why'd you leave your Klefki upon the table?
Isn’t Morpeko technically immune to Swagplay (dark is immune to prankster since Gen 7 and as an electric type, lol t-wave)?
3:54 if klefki was a wild pokemon you wouldnt be able to use it in battle. you have to catch it first!!
Why is swagger banned in singles?
My Boo-boo Keys 😢😢
doesn't whiscash get oblivious as a ground too?
Cash money
i want to counter one of your claims. "Klefki is a wild Pokemon"

Damn I'm early
