Am i the only one that isn’t a fan of a carbon hood? Sometimes it looks cool (992 GT3RS and 991.2 GT2, half painted), but otherwise, it looks cheap imo.
Like they want to show it off. Carbon roof is another story
I actually think the G80 is a fucking ugly duckling still. But I’m an F30 340i owner, I prefer classic BMW styling.
The snout is still bad. The M4 profile looks like a bad Mustang impersonator.
Lastly, the largest sin, is the bullshit way they did the rear wheel arches. The flare runs into the (flat) rear door at a weird angle making it look unacceptable imo. Look at it in the gas station it looks like someone damaged the rear quarter.
That said… the S58 is a god motor. Luckily the *slightly* less ugly M2 exists 😂

@@davidwade7681 Not quite, if the governor was removed from the demon it would’ve lost indefinitely, yes the demon got to 150 first (cuz it’s limited) but before the demon reached 150 the M3 was pulling him. It was a good race tho

The problem is that GT500 needs a real dyno tune. I bet with a proper dyno tune it keeps up or passes the M3 and its low 800s at best
I had a 2015 Gt premium with close to 500 HP by the time I sold it in 2022. It was pretty freaking fast. In March I got a 24 M3 Competition. It's terrifyingly fast compared to my old GT.

I feel like the Gt500 taking off in 3rd gear from a 55-60 roll 🤦🏻♂️ . Sounds like he's only taching 3500 rpms when they take off. Not even in the power.. 2nd gear would make a world of difference.

Man you have to hand it to a S58 engine. FBO stock turbo and its running that good. Same weight almost the same aero, same mods and fuel.
Now you you need top drop the pulley on the Shelby also do LTH and a Jokers ported TB. Then just add a hybrid turbo to the M3 and run these guys again. Great equally matched race. Almost everything is the same on these cars. Very equal comparison.

Even if the GT500 was faster, for the same prices, the BMW is just such a better bang for buck. The GT500 interior where you spend 99% of your time looking and dealing with when you're not racing is just terrible value for the price compared to the M3

Why are people comparing a gt500 to m3? Makes 0 sense they are NOT competitors never was Never will BE! GT500 is on another league comparing stock for stock in every aspect. As for aftermarket comparison YES the g80 m3 with simple mods MOVE! Same can be said about the gr500 (palm beacu dyno)
Perspective for all those who doubted that Demon 170 when he went up against the same BMW
The Demon 170 comes from the factory with 1025hp 😂 nobody’s doubting it , The BMW M3 comes with 473hp from factory with just a few bolt on’s the M3 is keeping up with it and will Demolish it from a dig that’s what’s impressive , an engine with 2 less cylinders and half the displacement, they shouldn’t even be in the same league, That’s why the Demon 170 is not impressing anyone , a full blown out race car designed by Dodge getting beat by 4 door grocery getters 😂

Tune is tune. You can get a tuned Civic with big turbo and it will smashed the BMW, while having only 4 cylinder, but…. It also about longevity. Demon is make for this horsepower, so it can riding 100k+ miles without any problem. I dont think BMW with at least 2.5 bar of boost can riding for so long.
