Certainly a great instrument for those that can afford it. It's nice to know that in this digital keyboard world of 2022, electro mechanical tine based pianos are being built even if for the most of us, it's not a financially sound option. The good news is that the used Rhodes piano market is thriving and parts for your old Rhodes are still available, not just from the new Rhodes company but from vintage keyboard restoration businesses in the US too.

Incredible, it sounds so good. I'm still a little shook that it costs ten grand, but i guess if we're talking pianos, 10k is actually cheap. This is sort of a piano...
It has Steinway keys, so it is sort of a Steinway piano and 10k are even cheaper...
Yes very pricey.. but the old saying is ‘you get what you pay for’… and it sounds fantastic… Just the way an early-mid 70s Rhodes ‘should’ sound.. Plus all the other bells and whistles

Rhodes essentials with improvement. I grew up during the 1970's Rhodes Era and absolutely approve of this instrument and the world class talent who made it happen. To every one at Rhodes, thank you.

£10,000 for a top quality, boutique bass/guitar is not so unusual these days. For a player who earns their living playing keys this is not an extortionate asking price. The problem is that it is not intended to be for the semi pro / hobbyist player.

This while nice appears to be like Hammond B-3 mk2… nice the price is prohibitive. I’d find a nice Rhodes model, buy it, have it gone through, rebuilt, repaired, and be content. Down the road the new digital legends will never re-sell or hold their value. But again, one never knows.
The Mk8 has a completely analogue signal path and is an electro-mechanical piano just like our original pianos. it has tines, tonebars, pickups, dampers and hammers, again, just like our original instruments but uprated and updated in every way possible.
Shut up and take my money!!!
