you keep scrolling because since you have 0 mons in your party, the game interprets it as 256 mons so the last mon in your party is in slot 255 (first mon being slot 0)
slots past 6 are actually the Pokemon in your boxes so yeah, that's how you get to interact with the boxed Abra
what a weird yet logical way for gamefreak to program boxes.
ACE and the pomeg berry glitch are for me the best and most fun glitch in all Pokémon history, even passing almost all of the glitches from RBY. What makes it special to me is that a glitch so broken that lets you code the game at your will is in a game like Emerald, a more polished game than the previous entries, and that it starts by one of the funniest and ridiculous oversight by the developers. Everything about it is perfection.
RBY itself actually has ACE too :) check out Crystal_'s videos. it's even possible to spread ACE to other games using RBY, or in your opponent's game while battling
@@disasterarea9341 Yeah, I saw that a while back, that's for sure crazy, but I personally still prefer ACE in Emerald, even if it's potential isn't as volatile and masive as the RBY one lol
From what I understood
Abra uses his Psychic powers to take us to the end of the game by doing advanced metamorphosis and turning into an egg.
Nice video, I love the narration and edition, it's noticeable the effort you put in them.
This glitch is so funny and I have always loved it ever since I saw the werster and chickasaurus videos about it
I would be interested in a video on a "theoretically possible really good strat" that hasn't been done because it's unlikely

I feel like most pokemon RUclipsrs aren't what I'd call cringe. I feel like it would be more accurate to call them goobers.
Maybe that's just me though.
@@SpankinDaBagelm&j tv and pm7 are exactly who i thought of when i read this lol. like yea, they make content mostly geared towards children, so of course an adult would find it “cringey.” but i think they’re just goofy guys, and they do occasionally make more “adult” jokes, so they clearly aren’t strictly kid friendly and are aware of their older audience.
@@augustyn2.0 I personally think mandj and pm7 are really good poketubers and I'm 25 years old I think they're hilarious and probably the most entertaining poketubers
@@tythestoner97 yea i agree, they’re both good on their own but they’re dynamic together in videos is perfect and they’re my favorite poketubers, although they’re also kinda the only ones i watch.
@@augustyn2.0 I watch quite a few poketubers Austin John plays, those guys, purplecliff, poketips, there's a couple others that I can't think of the names but Mikey and John definitely entertain the most especially with the John Michael cup thing that they do.

The discovery of this glitch was pretty bonkers, being able to use that which scared little Timmy and Sally who uses an AR to speedrun the game.
WHO FINDS THIS STUFF
Well, to find something like that you have to know how the game works by simply looking at the code if you are running it.
Someone found out that the PC boxes are coded directly after the Pokémon party, so you have to find out how to get "into the PC box within the Pokémon party". The pomeg berry glitch is necessary for this.
So if the pomeg glitch wouldn't work, the whole ACE for emerald wouldn't work.
It's something like finding a needle in a haystack.
Partially staring at the code till something interesting pops out, partially using tas/savestates two manually test, partially random players finding things

I came here from the short. I would've come here directly, if RUclips had recommended this video to me, but it did not. It *did* randomly recommend your short (by which I mean I literally got a notification for it on my phone). Ah yes of course some normie who probably never do easy nuzlocke say dumb thing like May is not the hardest fight ever.
this isn’t a bad egg. It’s a corrupted pokemon with a specific corruption type(people usually use the in game trade seedot to perform it) that sometimes turns into an egg after glitzer popping of 2 seconds. Why this isn’t a bad egg? 1. A bad egg is always called bad agg, not just EGG or the name of the corrupted pokemon 2. A bad egg usually has a phrase specific to it thay will make it unatchable. 3. If you get a bad egg while performing this you 100% did it wrong because after glitzer popping eggs usually turn into bad eggs that might crash your game 4. when this eggs hatches the game executes the box names as code and you can get pretty much everything with it(event items, spawn pokemon in your box, turn a pokemon’s secret id in your regular id, make starters respawn, make legendary pokemon respawn, obtain all medals in the battle frontier ecc…) and a bad can’t do that

appreciate the clarification! yeah its a bit of a misnomer to describe it as a bad egg - as you say, it’s an egg that appears as a result of ACE. the distinction is important for sure! when i wrote this i struggled a lot with making the topic approachable for less technically inclined pokemon fans and unfortunately i had to simplify a lot. will definitely try my best to not sacrifice accuracy for approachability in the future though, appreciate the input!
yeah, if you don’t count the glitchmon when you hatch it(it can be released easily by putting it in the first slot and release it in the deposit section of the pc) it’s not harmful at all

yea the trainers in emerald are really easy if ur twice their level doing a pure mudkip run is rly hard on a speedrun to get anywhere near a WR pace u can barely get any experience
