    I have a 67 and this is exactly what I want to do to it! Thanks for filming and sharing!

    One thing I wanted to do was add the extra short output on the Dana 300 and a double cardan rear driveshaft for smooth, low road noise vibrations.

    I am so glad I found this video. I was just telling someone that there are no 5.3 swap videos for the Scout 800. Did you buy the painless wiring kit for it?

      No, I used just a 21 circuit universal kit because I knew I was going to be adding several relays.

    Nice work. What did you do for the transfer case? Looks like there is a ring for clocking? The 460Le from my Suburban doner has the transfer case drop on the driver side and I'd like to keep it push button controlled from the ECU.

      Are used an advance adapter clocking ring to mount the Dana 300 to the 4L60E. If you wish to use the transfer case from the suburban you may be able to rotate to the passenger side but it all depends on how your fluid is going to sit in the transfer case.

    On your Scout, what are the dimensions for your gas tank and how many gallons does it hold. I'd like to have the same set up as yours. I'm also a little overwhelmed of swapping the original axles for mid 80's chevy 4x4 axles 6 lug, I'm sure that I'll probably have to get offset shackles. What would you recommend?

      Fuel cell is a Summit racing SUM-290108, 16 gallon, check out the site for dimensions. I would run new springs with new hangers from BARNS 4WD. And use good plum bobs. Do a CPT front reverse shackle kit from IH parts America. If you do all that the truck will drive really well.

      @@suckerpunchgarage5686 I really appreciate your advice. Thank you. I'm redoing a 67 Scout Sport top and I really like all the things that you've done to your Scout. I'll keep in touch with you. I'm actually in Waco, Texas. Thanks again.

      I have a question. I'm wanting to install a chevy 350 into my Scout Sport top, is it possible that the transmission and transfer case take the horsepower and torque from this engine and if it can is there an adaptor for the chevy engine and Scout bell housing?

      @@alfonsosanchez6263 If you are running the borg warner 3 speed auto and the dana 20 you shouldn't have any issues. As for the adapter plate the only supplier that might have something would be ADVANCE ADAPTERS.

    How did you go through the heater box?

    • @suckerpunchgarage5686
      @suckerpunchgarage5686  3 года назад

      I didn’t run any of the wiring thru the heater box, if that is what your asking. I ran the wiring thru the firewall.

    got a link for the motor mounts?
    im putting a 350 in my scout 80 and that seems like the best option

      Mine were for the LS engine, the one you want is part number 713007 they are from Advance adapters and I got them from summit racing. Have fun with the build.

      I'd much rather auto climbing hills and going through mud.
