That’s true. I knew a woman who got taken in but her problem was herself; she just wouldn’t listen when people tried to give her a reality check. She was religious but in one of those unaccountable and unbalanced groups and she would say things to her friends like she was ‘in the spirit’ and that they were ‘worldly’ and ‘carnal’ and all that. She almost had her own language and she didn’t speak like normal people, she just confused them, quoting Biblical verses, but it’s obvious that she didn’t really know what they meant because she was usually always quoting out of context, yet believing herself to be super spiritual. In the end she felt foolish when it all fell through and she had pissed all her friends off but there was nothing that you could do because when she was on line she would try to find her old friends but keep slipping back into this over the top spiritual persona and it pushed people away. In the end as much as he was a rat 🐀 it was her own arrogance and pride that was her downfall.
My failed oil rig scammer showed me a bank account with $6M in it and told me to help myself. LOL. Whoops --account froze at sea and needed a lil $30K "loan" to continue purchasing supplies. Did not want me to tell anyone about our "relationship." Never send a stranger money.
20 years ago out of the blue, I was contacted by a member of the army who was stationed somewhere overseas but didn't have the money to get home blah blah blah. This person said he didn't drink. The very next day, he sent me a picture of himself with a bottle in one hand and a glass in the other. Talk about a thick scammer !!!!!
Hello saw oil rig scammed and I have met online a man using that story, had the 14 year old son . Worked in Texas etc.. wanted me to chat outside the app we were in, this was like 2 weeks ago. Thought he was fishy, came to youtube watched videos about catfishing..boom oil rig worker engineer with 1 son.. used it exactly. Went into the app I am on announced the guise to all.and bam other women said yep me to. Blocked immediately. Same with a famous musician , supposedly! Iffy asks. Block them asap!
Thank you for this. I have decided not to go online dating or friendship anymore. So difficult to know. Better just stick to face to face and local community.
Or meet associates of actual friends online- and meet within 3 exchanges. If they don't know someone YOU know, that's a red flag in this connected world. Also meet within a few exchanges THEN slow cook connection
One asked for my credit card to help her pay for here to get it back from her manager and of course pay me back. I told her I wouldn't give it to anyone except my brother. She didn't like it at all!also she would make love to me for as long as I want. Nice deal eh 😉
This is not a ‘sophisticated scam’ at all. Its pretty standard I would say. The shocking thing to me is WHY on earth would you send anyone that they don’t know from a bar of soap, money? These victims seem to justify their behaviour by saying the scammers are ‘intelligent’ or ‘sophisticated’. There is ONLY one simple rule. Do not send money.
exactly. they aren't sophisticated or smart. desperate people choose to ignore all the simple warning signs and fall for all that ridiculous love bombing. still.. no matter what is sad or what they show you (pictures don't mean shit, they are all stolen from someone else).. don't send money to people!!! you will never get scammed if you never send money because that is all they care about and if they aren't getting it then they disappear. it really is that simple.
@@patriciamcdermott9589 My scammer was grooming me, (he thought) & it took months, then he was in for the kill, wanted $25.000.00 to get from Syria Damascus to USA..DAMN, I know everything has gone up but a plane fair? - & NO he didn't get a red penny!, I told him to go "JERK OFF"
It's so easy to judge from the outside. Even I caught myself rolling my eyes several times. Did you ever watch "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and ask how they can be that stupid? We're in similar situations here. The people on stage are under immense pressure, and the people getting scammed are lonely, usually starved of any kind of human touch/affection, and will grasp onto any lifeline they can find. An outside perspective can EASILY see what's going on, but when you're in the moment, it's a lot more difficult. At the end of the day, though, it's NEVER the victim's fault. Never. I realize you think they're dumb, but regardless, it's not their fault. The scammers are the one who you should be directing your scorn at.
It seems many people are afraid to tell their nearest and dearest when these scams are going on because deep down subconsciously they know that they are under some sort of spell or fairytale which will all come true if they just do X Y Z actions their soulmate will turn up and they will prove everyone wrong
You are exactly right. Also the same family and friends are usually warning them that they’re dealing with a scammer but they don’t listen. On a different Channel, one woman‘s best friend told her not to send her online romance any money and she said she wouldn’t but of course she did. This woman ended up being a drug mule and got arrested in Hong Kong and could be sentenced to 20 years. She’s from Canada and the scammer had her go to Ethiopia and then from there to Hong Kong.
A reverse image search of the pictures they provide to you or what is posted on their page is very effective about 80% of the time the search will show if those pictures are stolen
It is Indeed how hard is that.Mainly if they ask for thousands of dollars. That's Insane Really insane. I don't have thousands to just throw away. lol all invested
Come on, narrator! The only rule that manners is DON'T SEND ANY MONEY! if there is no money gained, online scamming will die a natural death! You can enjoy even fake relationship online until the cows come home,(this is called scam baiting, very enjoyable!)
Thanks for your comment. You might be surprised to find out that many if not all victims say they know the rule that they're not supposed to send money to strangers. Knowing the rule is not the problem. The problem is that the scammers use a series of tried-and-true tactics on the victims to make them break their own rule --- like the no-money rule --- and fall for the scam. That's why our stories are focusing on the scammers' tactics. The tactics are more powerful than simply re-stating a rule the victims usually already know.
In fact scambaiting is a very intresting hobby. I've been exchanging emails with this "russian girl" which, of course, is single, has been in bad relationships, love children, wants a family and bla bla bla... But she can't do video calls because he phone is broken and doesn't have internet at home or anywhere else in town besides her job; so she wanted to install skype on the job's computer but her boss found out and almost fired her, and a lot other bullshit like that. I gotta admit this scammer is doing a decent job, It's been more than a month and "she" didn't ask for money yet... but she will. Suppousedly, we are going to meet in a week in Moscow, let's see what excuse she comes up for not being there.
Whatever the sob story you are told,no matter how convincing it is - daughter sick, wife died in crash,he's mugged in a foreign country,no access to credit card blah blah blah just don't sent any money. It ain't rocket science.
Common romance scammer tactics: They love bomb the victim with flattery. It doesn’t take them long to start calling the victim beautiful, queen, honey or baby. If there’s a big age gap between the victim and the age the scammer is using, they will always say “age is just a number“. Frequently their occupations are oil rig worker, doctor stationed in Yemen or Turkey, interior decorator. These are not the only occupations they claim to have. They are widowed, separated or divorced. They usually have a small child in a boarding school in a different country. If their spouse is dead, it’s usually something tragic like cancer or a car accident. If they are divorced, the ex spouse cheated on them with their best friend. They will claim their child is looking for a mother. At some point the child or the scammer’s parent is hospitalized and needs money for an operation. Scammers will frequently say they’re from America yet they do not understand the American medical system where you are treated first and pay later. You do not need to pay upfront to have an operation usually. Sometimes scammers claim to be the only one in the world. All their family is gone making the victim believe they are the only ones that could help them. Scammers pretend to be wealthy and will give the victim access to a fake bank account that shows millions of dollars (no rich person is going to give a total stranger access to their bank account). If the scammer claims to be working on an oil rig, they will claim that equipment has broken down and they need to buy new equipment and that’s where the victim comes in at (they claim to be on the oil rig but you can hear roosters in the background). During the grooming stage of the scam, besides flattering the victim constantly, they also get the victim involved in phone sex. Most victims are too embarrassed to admit to this especially if they’re elderly. This is one of the tactics scammers use to keep the victim emotionally tied to them plus they can use it as leverage if they need to blackmail the victim. Scammers will always mention three or four different countries: the country they’re born in, the country they were raised in, the country they were living in and the country that their job has sent them to. They give the most illogical reason why they sound Nigerian when they are supposed to have been raised in America. They will say that their one parent is from one country and another parent from another country and that’s why their accent doesn’t match the country they claim they were raised in. One scammer claims to have been raised in Germany but was forbidden to speak German that’s why he couldn’t speak German but his accent is Nigerian. The person who the scammer was trying to scam speaks German and this was the excuse he had given her as to why he couldn’t understand what she was saying. They come up with a new lie when the person they’re talking to speaks the language of the country the scammer said they are from. The scammer will take a victim off the platform they originally met on and ask them to go to WhatsApp, Google hangouts or telegraph. On Facebook, after accepting their friend request, they will start communicating through Messenger. If they can’t keep the conversation directly on Facebook for everyone to see, they are a scammer. Block them. One of the reasons victims are victims is not just because they’re not knowledgeable of scams or tech savvy, part of it is they’re not using logic. A 35 year old handsome man whose buff and can have his choice of any woman is not going to fall madly in love with a 75-year-old woman. Nor will some hot porn star looking woman (the pictures are usually those of porn stars) in her 20s is going to fall madly in love with some overweight guy with missing teeth who is old enough to be her father. Once a victim gives a scammer money, even if it’s a small amount, the scammer will give the victim’s name to other scammers. Those other scammers will contact the victim and the cycle starts over again. They start telling the victim how beautiful they are and how much in love they are with them leaving the victim thinking all of a sudden they have become desirable to all these men.
That is so true. The love bombers are the worst. Everything up there ov of a book. Not married, even when u hear a female and kids in the background when they are on a video call. They hang up later say it was the connection.lies wnt answer any questions. They only care about $😢

Nice people get scammed because they think ALL other people are nice. They just need to be made of aware that this goes on. Spread the word to every one.
People who treat scam victims hardhly have not been ever talked to by real scammer. These scammers have gone to trainings and work in groups. They know exactly how to manipulate women.
It is not about romance. It is about loneliness and needing someone to talk to and someone to care. . These scammers check on you more than your family. Friends help friends when they have problems and you discovered they are scammers. Sad!
Why pick apart the targets? It's a mix of need/vengeance/cruelty to prey upon trust- any human being can be lonely, that's called being Human. Personally focus on the tactics of criminals, more productive
Elizabeth lm 53 years old and l was recently scammed $ 28,700 USD . It was the same tactic . It was not a romance scam but a business partnership one. I now own the bank $28700 dollars . It’s one thing to take out a loan for a car , property, school but to take it to please a scammer. I’m really stupid but l learned my lesson. If you are talking or texting someone do reverse image search. If you are investing in financial institution do your research. If the person you are texting messaging starts referring you to a financial or ask for your ID block him or her. Lister to your inner voice. .
I'm sorry to hear Elizabeth's story. Ive noticed scammers normally want you to go to apps like Hangouts , the usual excuse being Im not on here often ,I reply well you're on here now so we don't need to go to another app. The person immediately blocked me. I also had a scammer claim he was in the UK,and close to me He asked are you happy to go to WhatsApp . I replied sure whats your number? He sent a US number. When I questioned him on having a US number if he lives in the UK he blocked me too. Never be scared to ask questions if they're genuine they're going to understand.
I once had a man send me a picture of his bank account! Though texts, we had never even met or had a conversation. This was through a dating site. I thought i was the strangest thing ever! He was blocked . I have given up dating sites. Too many predators!!!!
bottom line is you NEVER give money to someone that you have never met in person and i wouldn't even do it then. if you give money to someone you better be doing it with the thought that you will never see it again and probably won't see them again either. just don't do it. if she had said no, he would have dropped her and she would have known that he was just a filthy scammer. and i bet that the guy on the skype call had a nigerian accent. that would be a sure clue as well.

No good-looking rich man is going to be hitting on an average-looking 50+ woman on a dating app, come on. Don't be a sucker, ladies. Get a dog ... I got a cat. Even a cat is way better than mind games with some dude.
Golden rule, its simple.Never Never Never send money....NEVER NO MATTER WHAT IS SAID OR DONE....I do feel sorry for this lady...it stops people even trying to date.i trust no relationships now....sad to say safer staying alone
Scams are so prevalent in every spare. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your money. They are so believable. This is ridiculous and need to go to jail for a long time. My anxiety is through the roof. You can be highly intelligent and get scammed. My father’s fried had been scammed many times.
I have a trick too and on three sites, as a man, I asked the women what their dress size was and since men don't know women's dress sizes, when they could not answer I knew it was a man doing a scam with a women's picture. Worked like a charm.
While I sympathise with this lady, I find it hard to believe that anyone who is just an ordinary looking and mature lady would believe protestations of love from a multi-millionaire who they have never met. Surely her friends and relatives would have seen through this at an early stage even if she was love-struck.
He has $$$. All his co workers have just as much as him$$$$. He doesn't need your$$$$. Ask your coworker for$$$$. Not you?! Ask him for 💰, tell him the same lies, karma
I think women reading too many romance novels (or watching Lifetime movies) over the years haven't done themselves any favors. Most of these victims are average at best, expecting this "Fabio" millionaire to sweep them off their feet while turning away from equally average (to them) good and loyal men, because they're not at least 6 ft. tall or writing poetry for them. Even though I would never tell any women to lower her standards, I would say to be realistic and recognize a "good man". You may not get a handsome poet, but if he really cares for you he'll get you some cards where Hallmark has done the work for him or wear some nice clothes (cologne etc.) because he knows you like it.
First of all, they need new mirrors.....an attractive man out of your league, is not going to fall for you period....99% is attraction.... A lot of these women are in denial... .Yes, age sucks.....And if you spend your money false love... it's your problem.....And going on shows to show you were a fool, is past tense....
Age doesn’t suck at all. It only ‘sucks’ if you are relying on your looks and relationships to make you happy. I find this view of ageing very superficial and foolish. It is such a view that makes, women, especially, feel invalidated and insignificant. Depending on our looks to attract the opposite sex is ok for a while bit should not be the pre-occupation of a lifetime. There is too much to do and see in the world. We can become liberated as we age and occasional loneliness is a small price to pay for freedom.
I agree some of the women are old fat and ugly( like me) why would they think that a handsome wealthy man would be remotely interested in them, use common sense ladies
I used to online date years ago. It's not hard not to get scammed. I had guys message me who were out of my league. I ignored them. I had a guy message me from a couple states away. I asked him what his plan was to deal with the distance. He said something about distance is nothing when it's the right person. I blocked him. And I learned about doing a reverse image search. It's not hard, people.
Please stop saying these scammers stole from them! Nobody robbed them! They were foolish enough to send all of their money to a complete stranger who they never even video chatted and were able to ask questions to. They have to take the responsibility of their foolish decisions before the real Healing Begins!!!
Man! I am not in a relationship at this moment and would love to be I am not that desperate nor a fool. Give someone my money. He'll no! Come on people get smart stop being scammed.
In many cases scams may be prevented by buying a good mirror and getting some critical thinking. In real life a man with that look and good money wouldn't take notice of an average looking middle aged woman let alone wade through tonnes of profiles on a date app. He doesn't need any date app in the first place as he is a big catch.
I get these people pop up in my socials. I normally just ignore them. I occasionally goof around and chat them up. The ones i get always ask for gift cards. I found out their are apps that they can use to cash them out. I think its cashed out at a discounted amoumt The last time I talked to some I had two reach out to me within minutes of eachother. One i busted because they knew nothing about our geography. I would tell them how much snow we were getting in Orlando and how lucky they were to be in Buffalo during the winter where its warm Finally the fessed up and offered me a job. 😆 I think they were laundering money. I stopped playing with them and blocked The other used a profile of a female Army soldier named Palomino. They had good social media and had some US knowledge. Eventually they fessed up. Offered to tell me everything on a video call. An adorable young Nigerian girl claiming to be.. 😆 a law student of all things. And over the years Ive had my share do a video without any sound and its a very short video. Ive yet to encounter the more higher tech fake videos No- never gave any a penny
@@mildredpierce4506 if you're dumb enough to send money to someone you don't know just so they'll like you, you deserve to be taken to the cleaners. Most of these people are being taken by a profile out of their league. Who is scamming who?

Sometimes one's arrogance can get them scammed, like many of the commenters here. In one way or another, by some technique or another, anyone can be scammed of something. I spent enough years in law enforcement to know that.

@@ampyxnews thank you very much for answering. In Denmark there also are evil scammers. But we have more strickt laws against scamming and ID theft. Because its not okay. We are living in a surveillance society. And Dating sides should have a sort of Joint Organisation to separate the good sheep from the goats. ( its a common danish expression). Also dirt from cinnamon. But when these honest people so hungry for real love and respect, unfortunately do of some inconsiderate things to archieve their goals. Because love does not know any borders, and the hidden secret longing and when fooled, is not something you take about, especially not if you are a man. Because sadly it still is a taboo. I hope that your great work and with your position and knowledge, maybe you would be easy to call on your government, to set up a law and increase the penalty for fraud. If I have an idea to make a chance of the existing or a new law. I need to collect 50000 different signatures, and bring it to our government. But i really just dont get why people not are able to recognize that the Nigerian scammers at first have a very special accent. Try to suggest for fun. Or just to be real. The people who sent money are not victims. They willingly sent money. Refusing to view yourself as a victim, taking full responsibility for your own actions gives you the ability to stay away from feeling powerless. It will also give a person the confidence needed to keep them from falling for similar scams. When a new scammer contacts her again, she will have the satisfaction to either just ignore or block or have a bit of fun, calling their BS what it is. BS.
Scammers will use terms of endearment like "Queen", "Honey", "Babe" so they don't have to remember names ... also asking "have you eaten?" is a cue too
I'm a cashier at a store, and I can't believe how many people fall for this. One little old lady, who thinks that she's engaged to George Strait, has spent thousands on gift cards for him. They're so committed to the fraud that they become enraged and absolutely will not believe me when I tell them it's a scam. I refuse to sell her any gift cards now, so she just goes and finds another cashier. AARRGH! it's so infuriating!
Don't feel shamed you are not alone if you need someone to talk to there are people on these scam sites that are victims as well and they chat to one another it seems to help when you talk to another victim cause they truly no how you feel.💔💔heartbreaking
Hi Eulene how are you. Greetings from Ireland. I agree with you, people who get scammed feel very isolated and don’t know who to turn to. They also feel shame. It’s so sad. Best wishes for a lovely weekend and stay safe 😊🙏 Michael
You will avoid 99% of these scams by doing 2 very simple things. 1.🗣️🗣️ NEVER 🗣️🗣️E V E R🗣️🗣️ Send money or any picture you wouldnt want sent to your parents or your boss at work to a stranger. 2. If they can't or won't meet you in person for a date within 7 days of "meeting" online, cease all contact and block if needed. They're either a scammer or at the very least trying to waste your time.
Women across the western world fall for men who look after themselves, have good appearance and grooming etc. It's sad but true, apparently, there are no real Aussie men out there, just scammers posing as Aussies. And I guess the same applies across the western world where there is a wholesale shortage of real men for real women. When I say "real men" I mean men who look after themselves and treat very well, the women they meet. This is why women get dragged into these traps set by the scammers. If the scammers treated women as badly or used photos of unkempt men like the real ones are, no woman would fall into the traps. It's the fact that scammers use photos of men who look after themselves, are well groomed and well spoken and have manners that causes women to be interested. SO here is a warning to all the single men of the western world:- buck up your act, get yourselves into shape, learn how to be well groomed and well dressed and how to treat a lady the right way. What to say, write and do so women fall for real men rather than scammers.

If you are stupid and willing to send money to strangers, then do not do it.
Noooo they didn't get smarter we got dumber, who in the right mind will think that a millionaire is asking a stranger for money dump, dump dump.
Why would you send money to anybody you don't personally know.
Exactly! So dumb!
I won't even give money to people I DO know in person, I'm certainly not sending a cent to a stranger.
One asked for my credit card to help her pay for here to get it back from her manager and of course pay me back. I told her I wouldn't give it to anyone except my brother. She didn't like it at all!also she would make love to me for as long as I want. Nice deal eh 😉
@@garyacker7388 excellent deal 🤝
I'd rather be lonely than give money to a dumb monkey
Bottom line if we can't physically meet then we can't even talk anymore
- & NO he didn't get a red penny!, I told him to go "JERK OFF"
I agree! They’ve said the scammer stole their money, when in fact, they simply gave it away.
Never send anyone you don't know money.
If an online romance can't meet in person within 2 weeks, ghost them
Meet or delete
Too late, once you friend them, they've gotten into your account, anyway! Don't friend anybody you don't know.
😂
I learned my lesson after I realized I was dealing with a romance scammer that kept being a no-show
What if it's long distance?
It's never going to get better unless people wise up and stop sending money to total strangers. Start thinking with your head and not your heart.
Yes they have soo many different types of scams also
It seems many people are afraid to tell their nearest and dearest when these scams are going on because deep down subconsciously they know that they are under some sort of spell or fairytale which will all come true if they just do X Y Z actions their soulmate will turn up and they will prove everyone wrong
@@lizmacleod8903 yeah they feel Shame and they shouldn't
As they are getting smarter each day, we must drift light years away from online romance
Yes they are
Well spoken ! 😊
People help me understand. Some of these victims have family who can’t get a dime out of them but send thousands to strangers.
Meet people in person not dating sites
A reverse image search of the pictures they provide to you or what is posted on their page is very effective about 80% of the time the search will show if those pictures are stolen
Tech tricks or not. Just don’t give strangers money, it is that easy.
It is Indeed how hard is that.Mainly if they ask for thousands of dollars. That's Insane Really insane. I don't have thousands to just throw away. lol all invested
Never ever ever send money to anyone you never met online or even outside on a date. If they are asking you for money it is 100 percent a scam
Eww
Such rotten, despicable, cold-hearted people! I hope they all rot in the same hell!
Whenever I'm sad I just remind myself I'm not dumb enough to get scammed.
Common romance scammer tactics:
They love bomb the victim with flattery.
They only care about $😢
I am so very sorry. I have been in a very similar situation and have lost all my money too. My heart is broken and I feel so disappointed in myself and am working on trying to accept God's love. I allowed the situation to break me apart. Thank you for posting. My heart hurts when I listen to the speaker. I am numb.
Nice people get scammed because they think ALL other people are nice. They just need to be made of aware that this goes on. Spread the word to every one.
I love your comment because it's true.
NO. People get scammed because they can´t stand being alone.
I also had a scammer claim he was in the UK,and close to me
He asked are you happy to go to WhatsApp .
I don’t care how sophisticated the scammer acts. If they ask you for money or anything money related it’s a scam.
bottom line is you NEVER give money to someone that you have never met in person and i wouldn't even do it then. if you give money to someone you better be doing it with the thought that you will never see it again and probably won't see them again either. just don't do it. if she had said no, he would have dropped her and she would have known that he was just a filthy scammer. and i bet that the guy on the skype call had a nigerian accent. that would be a sure clue as well.
I had one that called me on messenger on fB, he was looking for LOVE, I told him BUDDY, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE, his response was....' WHO'🤣🤣S BUDDY
@@toosexy7955 🤣🤣🤣I always tell them they are in the wrong place and they say “well my best friend found his soul mate here and they are happily married”. I mean they all have said that. I say “ you mean he found a temporary sugar mama?” They either laugh or just disappear. I have to try the “Buddy” thing. 🤣🤣🤣
So sad, these con artists ( scammers) are ruthless knowing the things to say to break down defences. Poor souls, lonely hearts ❤️ if it seems too good to be true, then they are !
I hate when they shame them or call them stupid.i think they are brave to tell their stories
Love yourself and never look for love from stranger.🙏🏻❤
that's right👍👍

I have just subscribed I need to learn all these tricks. These could be a very profitable side hustle in this tough economic times
The minute they ask for money it's a scam?
The above name is a God sent, I appreciate your efforts in restoring my scammed crypto back
Honestly though, these people always turn the conversation to money and how they need some. That’s when you run away, folks! Don’t give anyone a dime!
Number #1 tip! If they ask for a penny it is a SCAM!!!!!
I met a pilot on Facebook.
He pretty soon declared me his love, but when I asked him to write my name on a piece of paper and show it to me on a picture, he got mad and accused me for not trusting him.
Come on, we'd only known each other for two weeks!
They can use photo chop that looks real i had one last month do it but reverse image search caught them out with the original photo.
Vulnerable women need to stop sending money to people they think are real.
Never tell anyone your passwords for any of your accounts.
Never give money to strangers. Not even your own family.
THE SKYPE CALL MADE MY HAIR RAISED!!! UNBELIAVABLE!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING
I've been scammed in 2009 but not by a romance scammer but by a scam artist who almost took my home away
I'm sorry for what happened to you but it's never too late to get your money back. You will highly appreciate him for his tremendous help getting your lost funds back from ur scammer,

If they won’t meet you within two weeks of talking to them they’re a scammer
The best way to protect ourselves from online scammers is to not accept any friends request from anyone man woman or child telling you that you are beautiful and that they like your profile 😍 some of them steals your family and friends pictures to contact you please be careful every one these people have no compassion for anyone it's all about taking your money 💰
No good-looking rich man is going to be hitting on an average-looking 50+ woman on a dating app, come on. Don't be a sucker, ladies. Get a dog ... I got a cat. Even a cat is way better than mind games with some dude.
It's very easy to know, if after a while they ask you for money, it's a scam. The end.
Don’t send money to anyone you have never met in person…
They didnt steal it. She gave it away.
Ok!!! 😂
nope, its "fraud" and "grand larceny" a FELONY
This is ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING!!!😢😡😢😡😢😡😢😡😢 This poor woman and many others. Let's keep each other lifted up in protective prayers.
These scammers waste months of your time even if you quit when they ask for money. Don't waste your life go meet someone in your neighborhood.
Thank you ! for all the good tips...it breaks my heart to hear about all of the elderly women that get scammed every day😪
First of all, they need new mirrors.....an attractive man out of your league, is not going to fall for you period....99% is attraction....
My question is why would people Elizabeth's age think that someone that is Alec's age date them. Alec looks about 30 years younger than Elizabeth
Please be aware everyone
Best way to never get scammed, don't look for love on the internet.
Just don't give money to people you've never met. Tell your family and friends about
red flag nobody is going to show you their bank account , next
Do not accept packages flowers etc do not give address online please.
I don’t care how sophisticated they are if you do not give money to someone you’ve never met you will be ok.
Please stop saying these scammers stole from them! Nobody robbed them! They were foolish enough to send all of their money to a complete stranger who they never even video chatted and were able to ask questions to. They have to take the responsibility of their foolish decisions before the real Healing Begins!!!
Still single and still have my money. Never will i online date again.
He doesn't need any date app in the first place as he is a big catch.
im very sad as to what happened but if you have never met its not dating ,,end of !!!!
I get these people pop up in my socials. I normally just ignore them. I occasionally goof around and chat them up. The ones i get always ask for gift cards.
I found out their are apps that they can use to cash them out. I think its cashed out at a discounted amoumt
The last time I talked to some I had two reach out to me within minutes of eachother.
One i busted because they knew nothing about our geography. I would tell them how much snow we were getting in Orlando and how lucky they were to be in Buffalo during the winter where its warm
Finally the fessed up and offered me a job. 😆 I think they were laundering money. I stopped playing with them and blocked
The other used a profile of a female Army soldier named Palomino. They had good social media and had some US knowledge. Eventually they fessed up. Offered to tell me everything on a video call. An adorable young Nigerian girl claiming to be.. 😆 a law student of all things.
And over the years Ive had my share do a video without any sound and its a very short video.
Ive yet to encounter the more higher tech fake videos
No- never gave any a penny
Never point out to a scammer their mistakes about geography or culture. Their mistakes could be enough of a red flag to deter a potential victim.
@@mildredpierce4506 if you're dumb enough to send money to someone you don't know just so they'll like you, you deserve to be taken to the cleaners. Most of these people are being taken by a profile out of their league. Who is scamming who?
The oil franchise affiliation appears to be common because it conveys money security. Am 3 mths into an app & the app just pulled down 5 of my matches, & one was an oil rig/widow guy.
Sometimes one's arrogance can get them scammed, like many of the commenters here. In one way or another, by some technique or another, anyone can be scammed of something. I spent enough years in law enforcement to know that.
Theyre everywhere!! Love scammer
"It looked real". Wait till AI technology has taken over...we won't know anymore what is real or not. Terrifying.
It’s always amazing to me that when people say they need money yeah they’re showing your bank account with hundreds of thousands of dollars! At the very least they should have a good credit rating to get their own kind of money. I feel bad for them, I have known people have been scammed, people I love. How to try to keep my wits about me.
Trust Nobody.
Well you started loving someone on a virtual platform and never ever met how can you give him or her your hard earned money
PEOPLE NEED THE LORD AT THE END OF BROKEN DREAMS .
You are so RIGHT, the police explained to me how much SMARTER they are getting. My phones are set up so he can get my personal phone calls, emails, and messages b4 I do. Hi Kerry❤ greetings from Denmark. Sorry my bad English. Im so in love with you. 😂would you pay my ticket to visit USA? No im kidding. I didnt know that there are so many oil rigs and constrution workers?? Okay real love should not hurt. If anybody asked me for money. NUMBER 1 RED FLAG WOMAN. No of course. DONT share more informations, that you are willing to hear from other people. If you share 1 problem on Facebook. You maybe would get 30 different answers. I would be very confused. In this world, we have to take care of our selves, and sadly not expect that all people wish us well. And words tells a lot. 😢 I think that all sorts of these love scams are totally DISRESPECT and abuse of innocent people with hunger for love😢. I wish all beutifull woman and men a very nice summer and take care of your selves and family and friends and also the nature. Keep going Kerry. The love society benefits of YOUR job and KNOWLEDGE. Kind Regards from Hans Christian 15 august 2024🎉
Thank you, Hans Christian! Good advice. So glad to help people stay safer online! Hope your summer is going well, too :)
I was just thinking about asked for their GPS coordinates. All people with Google Earth or Google Maps are able to figure it out. I can tell YOU mine. It about 55"25' N 11"21'E. I am very happy about people like you. I think I would vote you to the CONGRESS as the new SCAMMINISTER. In my opinion, scamming is theft of mental DISRESPECT. I can trust you. I think I will give you a vote from the entire Danish Kingdom. Take care of your selves, your love ones and all the love grieving soules, who like me, believe and trust your well done hard work. Greetings from Hans Christian Denmark 20 august 2024. PS. To day we should enjoy the beatufull Supermoon.
BS.
Ask for a video call or give him or her a video call, I haven't had one answered...
Money matters don't give anyone you didn't know who is it ,hes a stranger
Don't feel shamed you are not alone if you need someone to talk to there are people on these scam sites that are victims as well and they chat to one another it seems to help when you talk to another victim cause they truly no how you feel.💔💔heartbreaking
Hi Eulene how are you. Greetings from Ireland. I agree with you, people who get scammed feel very isolated and don’t know who to turn to. They also feel shame. It’s so sad. Best wishes for a lovely weekend and stay safe 😊🙏 Michael
If they ask for one Nickle the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You will avoid 99% of these scams by doing 2 very simple things. 1.🗣️🗣️ NEVER 🗣️🗣️E V E R🗣️🗣️ Send money or any picture you wouldnt want sent to your parents or your boss at work to a stranger. 2. If they can't or won't meet you in person for a date within 7 days of "meeting" online, cease all contact and block if needed. They're either a scammer or at the very least trying to waste your time.
What if they refuse to let you see them
She should spent the money, removing her eye bags. There is no fool, like an old fool.
there are red flags all over this mess
The photo of that guy at the conference, shows him wearing a wedding ring..
michael also is wearing a ring
Just don't ever send money to someone you haven't met IN PERSON ?
