People might say she should know better, but she likely did not know a lot about how these people work. They have networks to create scenarios that seem real, but are just fabrications. But it is true, if the person ever asks for money, then I block them.

Typically you can tell by the way they talk. They use language that an American wouldn't. Example, they'll say "am" instead of "I'm or I am". One of the first things they'll ask is what you do for a living. Also they'll usually only have 1 photo. Some have a few but mostly they just have 1. Ask what part of town they're from, something very specific. They give themselves away pretty easily. Oh and don't fall for the "I'm out of town/country visiting family for 2 weeks" story that they all use. LOL.

The best way to protect ourselves from online scammers is to not accept any friends request from anyone man woman or child telling you that you are beautiful and that they like your profile 😍 some of them steals your family and friends pictures to contact you please be careful every one these people have no compassion for anyone it's all about taking your money 💰

The oil franchise affiliation appears to be common because it conveys money security. Am 3 mths into an app & the app just pulled down 5 of my matches, & one was an oil rig/widow guy.

Best way to never get scammed, don't look for love on the internet.

Only 3 days for chatting, 5 days phone call, 1 week meet in-person. All the stereotypes about men are true--younger men don’t go for older women unless they can get something else-such as money, connections etc. So if you are older and a younger man wants to date you, he wants more than just love. All men want hot women, even ugly ones-so if you not hot and a hot guy courts you-its probably a scam. The new technique is posing as a Asian man, because Asian men have good jobs and generally not scam artists.

These scammers waste months of your time even if you quit when they ask for money. Don't waste your life go meet someone in your neighborhood.

Some agencies cover high fees just for chatting, e-mailing, video calls, for watching the videos and the "private photos" of the alleged future lover (although you always hear them saying "my love", my dear" or "darling" - just to make it easier to use the same letter unchanged or not to spit out the wrong name). If you have to pay hundreds of dollars to keep the connection with one chatter, you can bet that he/she does not - they have a contract with the agency to produce a good turnover and they get paid a share of everything the gullible fool pays. If the other side was really interested, they would find a way to exchange social media contact, e-mail, phone number or some contact on free chat or messaging services - but you won't unless you pay directly 500 dollars or more to the agency and the "love partner"; they won't because they won't receive the direct pay from the company. Their profiles often says that they are millionaires, or more, own yachts, villas, companies and more .... yet in the end you pay. If I ever pay more to contact somebody in a web site, I make it clear that I will not pay a cent and if she thinks that I am worth giving a try, they can travel at their own expense - and when they arrive in my country they get their meals and their bed free - nothing more and that is enough before the marriage contract is signed. I have had my fun with the Nigeria Mafia from the very beginning, and other scammers who used my Skype, ICQ (dead now), facebook or other ways and I always had my fun with ladies who just want money to show me their face with a cam .... a lady named "Ibrahim". And I remember that I found the faces of some ladies in internet search belonging to somebody else - just like we now see again the abuse of stolen IDs in the US elections.

Elizabeth is an idiot. She got screwed and I feel NO sympathy for fools like Elizabeth. She says scammers are smarter, NO, elizabeth is stupider.

I knew a girl who got scammed from someone claiming to be someone he wasn't. Some people are so desperate to be loved, they make easy targets, it's sad and dispicable what these scammers do to those people.

I haven't being scammed before but lied to by hundreds of woman over the phone, text, or in person, The moment women hears l don't have money or live a simple life they stop texting, calling or lied. Maybe 2% of women this days I think don't care about money but k have no doubt that most women this days do t care about true love or don't use the word love if he doesn't have any money....l have 24 years to prove bc I'm still alone and using the same tactics on saying I'm broke....so far every woman for the pass 21 year move one when they hear me saying I'm broke... I do that to see if they truly want to be with me bc me or bc what k have. Sadly it's all about the money. Si keep getting scammed.....

My favorite pastime is playing with these trolls. Always some half-dressed hottie who has had her heart broken by some cheating dog and who wants an older man who knows how to care for her.

Its not a sophisticated scheme its that you are dumb enough to believe the lies. If the person makes excuses why you can't meet this is a red flag.
