There are basically two things when it comes to stiffness (rigidity): The stiffness of the material (modulus of elasticity) and the geometric stiffness hence the construction. When it comes to mineral casting the material itself isn't as stiff as cast iron but it allows for geometric designs that are very stiff while still being economic. I got some similar ideas as you. But as other mention here, one need a certain plan for what parts one actually can manufacture and sell to defend the investment. Maybe go for a employment with a shop, to get experience, get a feel for what demands there are around, before starting for oneself (if one already got a good idea what to manufacture, it's different)
Exactly… which means more people can become manufacturers and advance their families lives… they can produce parts in America on machines that they can afford… Students can choose to purchase a CNC Machine instead of paying for college tuition. They can instead learn machining on our Free Machining Academy and run parts on their own machine… and instead of student debt… they will own a CNC Machine.
Every other trade pays better then machining and for a lot less knowledge. Way to many machine shops chasing to little work from customers not willing to pay an honest amount for parts. They pay the bills when they feel like it. 90+ days is common.
@@frankgrabasse4642 The biggest problem with the field of machining and other manufacturing fields is that it can be outsourced, service jobs like plumbers, electricians, auto mechanics can not be outsourced to China, Mexico and other lower cost countries. Service industries are competing against others in the US while manufacturing is competing globally.
And they say we can't get anybody to work here? Well for f sakes some of these machine shops are toxic waste sites. And then you might make 2 dollars more an hr over fast food to start if you are likely. Idk how I survived the first 5 yrs in this trade and didn't off myself from disappointment etc. Almost walked away from it, but finally got a good opportunity to grow my knowledge.
Access to cnc machines is still such a gap.... This helps close the gap in a big way! One suggestion is to offer a "digital twin" true simulation of the Syil machines that you are offering (Siemens has that as an option on some of their controls). Partnered with the Academy curriculum a digital twin would allow a path from completely starting with only a computer up to purchasing their first Syil machine. Way to go and thanks for all that the Titans of CNC team does to lift up advanced manufacturing in the USA and beyond!
What an incredible value! These things are equipped with some really nice components. These machines are definitely going to provide people an opportunity to start their own shop with a quality machine for a fair price!
I'm eyeing the X11 but there is little to no information or video about this model. Curious to see how it will compare to Korean made VMC of the same size.
@titansofcnc a few things. First could you guys do some videos going over the different control options they offer for the machines? Second, are you guys going to get any of the X9's, X11's, and their lathes? Could you guys also do some videos going over all of the other options available for these machines?
I love it, the work they do is fascinating to me. It is so passionate to see how products are created with these machines, it feels so futuristic. Great job
Any chance these machines have the precision enough to make a micron sized ruler, units of marking. So you would have one micron wide mark, skip a micron, and then make another mark that is one micron, skip one micron, make another mark that is one micron wide, keep that pattern going, can that machine do that. Just to reiterate in case I'm not clear, basically making a pattern of onoff, onoff, on is where you etch into the material, off is where you skip a space. And the ons and the offs are the same width of one micron wide.
Hi Titan I have an X7 which I am happy with. However the machine needs a number of modifications to make it work for you. How long does it take your guys to check the hydraulic oil level in the tool release intensifier above the spindle? Once they have done this a few times, they will cut an inspection hatch with two screws.
Hi I have a dentist's mirror. I am interested to know how do you use a mirror without removing the 14 screws that hold the cover on and also releasing the 8 other screws on top of the column? Also did you find it difficult to replace the cover once removed. I cut a small rectangular piece from the return fold on the top left hand side of the cover making refitting very easy. @@MrRctintin
@@johnspathonis1078 yeah I took top cover off, only a few seconds with a cordless. I’ve modified inside my column as well, I have a solenoid valve in there on the coolant connected to a relay that opens the valve as soon as the coolant pump starts, and closes the valve when it stops. This means I have minimal coolant leaking from the nozzle once the pump stops.
Thanks Rob. I got rid of all the Syil coolant distributer system inside the cabinet. I started with a new ball valve with a decent handle. I then fitted a six port coolant ring that clamps onto the spindle housing. I only use three of the 6 ports with 3 small stainless steel nozzles. To stop any small dripping after I have finished work, I turn the ball valve off and quiclky blow away any trapped coolant with an air blast up one of the nozzles. I have advised Syil China of my modifications.@@MrRctintin

@@frankgrabasse4642 The shop my buddy works at has 200+ spindles running 3 shifts and many of the guys are working OT. There's always work for good shops.
How would this machine compare to a Tormach 1100mx? I'm debating about starting with the 1100mx to start my machining company journey with. Should I look at the X7 instead?
Do yourself a favor and RUN from tormach. I started my shop with an 1100mx 2 years ago and the z-axis ball screw snapped after 3 weeks (no idea how this happened) after countless other issues right out of the gate. Took 2 months of fighting with tormach before they finally agreed to refund the machine but I was still responsible for getting it back to them so I ended up driving it back myself from Southern California to Wisconsin. 2 years later, I’ve got 2 DN Solutions DEM’s and I’m running aerospace and medical parts on them all day every day with absolutely zero issues. If it’s between tormach and syil, I’d hands down go with either syil or a haas super mini mill. The DEM is an amazing machine but a little pricy when starting!
Not even close man. 1600 lbs fully dressed vs 4500 lbs. Dovetail ways vs THK linear guides and ball screws. 2 hp vs 11 hp. Options for wireless probing, a real tool changer, mist collector, chip conveyor, and the list goes on. The only reason to buy a Tormach is if you have to be able to move this thing into your work space down flight of steps in pieces. The best comparison to an X7 is a Haas super mini and it probably beats that one too. Only perk with the haas is the cat40 spindle and better support network but it has less horsepower (Haas rates everything at 200% load) and doesn’t make peak power until 6000 rpm. The X7 makes peak power and torque at 3000 rpm. Craptastic iron casting vs epoxy granite which has better damping, stiffness ans thermal characteristics. People love to shit on the 30 taper spindles but there’s ways around the spindle rigidity limitations with the right tools, tool holders, and programming strategies. Oh and the X7 costs basically half as much.
@@Anthony-cz2it We encourage people to reshore jobs. In order for a business to survive, they need to be able to turn a profit. This often entails buying cheaper machine tools, work holding, tooling, etc. to start. Just because a product is made in the USA, it doesn’t mean it’s quality and/or reasonably priced. Vice versa, just because a product is made/assembled in China, it doesn’t mean it lacks quality. People forget that most of their home furnishings originated from China, the microchips in their electronics were manufactured in China, their clothing may have originated from China, etc.
There’s a few guys who I’ve read about having to replace the random solenoid over the years but they were up and running again after $12 spent. The machines are fully unlocked and have next to no proprietary parts on them. Made to be worked on and serviced easily.
@jamescrud sorry man I got your question but can’t find your comment on here anywhere. The mill is 16 hp (12 kw max) on 380V. They provide a step up transformer with the machine to take you from 220 3 phase to 380. I have dedicated 200A single phase service in my shop and am running mine on a 15 horse phase converter with a 50A breaker because I was expecting to receive a 5.5 kw machine. But in all reality you should be on a 20 hp phase converter on a 60A single phase breaker. If you manage to pull 12 kw, that’s around 31A of 380 and 50ish amps of 220 through the converter. The 20 horse unit is rated for 52A flow through. The other thing that helps me is that my supply voltage is hot - 245 single phase yields around 260V three phase through the converter and 420V on the output side of the transformer, which is still within range for the control. All that means is that my machine will draw less amperage than a 380 machine, given the same cut parameters. If you talk to American rotary they’ll try to sell you a 40 horse converter because you could theoretically pull more than that if you somehow max every axis servo and spindle simultaneously. Idk how you’d do that in any other situation but a full rapid machine crash and even then that’s just for a moment. When used within normal safe parameters, you’re gonna find the limits of your tools or the spindle itself before you get anywhere close to 100% load on the spindle, let alone 150%.
I've been eyeing these, but the lack of a solidworks / hsm post processor is the thing holding me back. Will you guys be working with them to support that? Because their x11 is the perfect size and the price is a huge selling point. A reliable 3 axis is needed, simultaneous 4th and 5th are what I would like to get my shop to one day.
Haas has succeeded in making CNC machines affordable. This is even better. With this product, more and more machinists will be motivated to start their own business.
Appears to be a great machine for the $$$$ However, what about service and support? Doesn’t matter if it’s the greatest machine in the world, if you can’t get decent service what good is it? Haas are great and we have several but service is less than desirable. They have grown so much and just like everything else they can’t get enough talented support ppl. Heck it’s so bad you can take courses from them to become certified to repair and will be warranted . That’s great and all but hell now your taking good ppl that are programming , setting up etc and then expecting them to be a repairman as well. I’d want to have a great service team before I’d even consider it.

We’re going to make videos on how to fix and or replace the leading items that go bad etc… we also are developing a network of individuals that are qualified to fix the machines. If we add service beyond that, it would drive up the price of the machine. Good news is that these machines have a very good track record for quality and their is a great Facebook group of Syil Users (5000 members) that love the machines and help each other out if anything goes wrong. As we go forward we will keep improving.

Maybe go for a employment with a shop, to get experience, get a feel for what demands there are around, before starting for oneself (if one already got a good idea what to manufacture, it's different)
Awesome!!!!!!! Now people can afford to have their own little shop
Exactly… which means more people can become manufacturers and advance their families lives… they can produce parts in America on machines that they can afford…
Students can choose to purchase a CNC Machine instead of paying for college tuition.
I am well aware. And it depresses wages. Taco bell pays the same as manufacturing here. And the conditions are better, at taco bell.
And they say we can't get anybody to work here? Well for f sakes some of these machine shops are toxic waste sites. And then you might make 2 dollars more an hr over fast food to start if you are likely. Idk how I survived the first 5 yrs in this trade and didn't off myself from disappointment etc. Almost walked away from it, but finally got a good opportunity to grow my knowledge.
great!!! Im interested in getting x7 for myself for my small machine shop. Thank you for being awsome!
Hye , what are current approximate prices of 3 axis precision CNC milling and turning machines. Compare USA ,Japan ,Swiss and German made.
As someone that is completely alien to the CNC world, where should I start to get into this industry?
Good for you guys. This is awesome to see. Cheers from Canada
Way to go and thanks for all that the Titans of CNC team does to lift up advanced manufacturing in the USA and beyond!
you have any idea/info on when the syil u5 is suppose to be released ?
If I buy one, will you teach me how to work every aspect of it?
What an incredible value! These things are equipped with some really nice components. These machines are definitely going to provide people an opportunity to start their own shop with a quality machine for a fair price!
There are too many shops in the US cutting eachothers throats for work
@frankgrabasse4642 then don't undercut on price offer something better or somethings others can't do. Be creative to avoid the race to the bottom.
Titan, it was great meeting you in Chicago. You are doing great things, bud!
These are attractive to me!
I love it, the work they do is fascinating to me. It is so passionate to see how products are created with these machines, it feels so futuristic. Great job
So that means that if I buy one from you you will be there to fix it under warranty?
yes, they plan to have on site techs
This is awesome. Hoping to see some 5 axis on the SYIL as well!
Totally awesome. Thanks!
My father: whom sold the house????
*Me arriving with a CNC mill
Nothin like the smell of coolant in the morning, smells like victory.
Looks exactly like Robodrill!
Right on! What an epic relationship with SYIL 🔥 Can’t wait to see videos of this! BOOM!
Hi Titan I have an X7 which I am happy with. However the machine needs a number of modifications to make it work for you. How long does it take your guys to check the hydraulic oil level in the tool release intensifier above the spindle? Once they have done this a few times, they will cut an inspection hatch with two screws.
Easy, use a dentist mirror.
And mine has needed oil once in 3 yrs.
I have advised Syil China of my modifications.@@MrRctintin
boooooooooooooom. from Ghana. keep up the amazing work. you are our inspiration.
I been thinking about one of these as well. (Any reps in the Dallas Texas area). I know stupid people will complain that it’s made in China but so are those kenametal inserts I bought to turn chips. At the end of the day the parts I make here is the US is money for me and my family while paying 13 workers who live here in Texas. We have a ruff economy right now but stay strong and not divide our people.
The SYIL US distributor is litterly in your neighbourhood. Titans of CNC. Will be exiting seeing them doing more content regarding the machines.
We are the Rep and are in Dallas. You can stop by and check it out
Keep the educational videos coming guys. Looking forward to the unpacking videos.
Great stuff.
I think it's great that titan puts these videos up. But if you put anything he doesn't like, such as the fact that too many shops chasing too little work for too little money he deletes the comment.
They don’t compare, this one beats every spec!
Doesn't compare at all, these are actually real machines.
Thanks for the info guys!
Oh and the X7 costs basically half as much.
life goals to buy a machine from you titan, absolutely love everything that you do
These machines are crazy and beautiful! love this!
I’m looking forward to seeing the SYIL’s in action!
oh same here, china machine, but we preach american all day from titan.
Whenever I see something budget friendly I always wonder what will give first.
My X7 has been running for 3 years and nothing has given up yet….
There’s a few guys who I’ve read about having to replace the random solenoid over the years but they were up and running again after $12 spent.
The machines are fully unlocked and have next to no proprietary parts on them. Made to be worked on and serviced easily.
I am following both of these syil machines since the mid of 2022
Great to see them on this platform
What about turning centers?
They have them
Very interesting
These machines are insane! Super clean with amazing power!
Are the Syil X5 and Syil X7 only 3 phase power?
This is awesome glad to see quality machines at great prices
My X7 is making titanium knives since 2020 and I love it😊
I've been eyeing these, but the lack of a solidworks / hsm post processor is the thing holding me back.
With this product, more and more machinists will be motivated to start their own business.
damn, for that price, I want it
Appears to be a great machine for the $$$$ However, what about service and support? Doesn’t matter if it’s the greatest machine in the world, if you can’t get decent service what good is it? Haas are great and we have several but service is less than desirable. They have grown so much and just like everything else they can’t get enough talented support ppl. Heck it’s so bad you can take courses from them to become certified to repair and will be warranted . That’s great and all but hell now your taking good ppl that are programming , setting up etc and then expecting them to be a repairman as well. I’d want to have a great service team before I’d even consider it.
Thank you sir for all that you do.
Good luck with the new deal with Syil. Good for you. Ignore the haters.
An awesome partnership that will help so many afford to get into this trade!
Do they make a 5 axis machine???!!
Yes they do, and for under $100k!
Love your content from Libya i'm trying to make my own 5 axis cnc it will take time but hope i can get it done soon, keep creating great videos
Can’t wait to see some X5 content, been wanting to see what that thing is capable of for a while now!
Super excited for this partnership!
Would love to see some high speed machining on these in future videos and see what they can do.
What can i say abaut you couple of words. Boss of dreams
Share .STL please ❤
Congrats on the partnership!
Can't wait to see there new 5 axis machine
What's the precision of these
Thank you for all the support in this industry and pushing us to accomplish our goals!
I think it's great that titan puts these videos up. But if you put anything he doesn't like, such as the fact that too many shops chasing too little work for too little money he deletes the comment.
There are good efficient, well run shops… and others that suck. Some make money and some don’t. Some take care of their employees as I do… and some don’t. I try to make videos that inspire all to rise to greatness… by increasing efficiency, increasing profits and increasing pay for their employees.
Also, I didn’t delete your comment.

Yal guys have any used machines for sale? I want to start a shop in my garage. Funny this video popped up because I only have 30k to start with
Please show how the LNC 6800 CNC controller works out
hi, can you ship to Turkey?
Titan, I've been eyeing an X7 for sometime now, but have held off due to a lack of support in the US. Now that you are the US distributor, how will support for US customers change? Thank you.
Thats really cool. I also wanted to see someone like you run one if these to see what they actually capable of. Hope you guys get your hands on the x9 and x11 cuz I haven’t seen those in action at all yet.
What are the draw backs?
Right now, controller documentation and technical support. The Facebook group functions as the main support hub currently and it is excellent.
I'd guess getting service will be a huge drawback for a while.
@@justinm4323 there’s no secret sauce to these things. They’re easy to work on and fix yourself. If you’d rather sub that out then any seasoned cnc service tech would probably be able to help with any repairs you need.
Hello . What is the country of origin of the machines ?
Thanks
Several different countries of parts used. The base is a Swiss product, the enclosing, sheet panels are made in German, the linear guides Japan, ++, assembled in China
6:58 yep, it's not written that you must go to college after finishing basic education. you can always become another thing without going into college, like a luthier. Here in Mexico, college (or university) tends to be more affordable than in the US. I'm still finishing my IT Engineering career, tho.
Can we get some CMM programming tutorials please! :) I moved from CNC Programming to CMM programming recently so I would love some help!
Just awesome channel ! Do they have the option of conversational programming.
Wow i was surprised by this one.😊
