Depreciation Exercise

33.1 Tangible fixed asset depreciation exercise, I work a depreciation problem in excel. I start with calculating depreciation using different methods, including straight-line, activity, sum-of-the-years-digits, and double-declining. I then illustrate how a change in the estimated number of years remaining in the service life of the asset impacts future depreciation. Lastly, I work through how to evaluate the assets for impairment and calculate depreciation for the remaining useful life following the impairment of an asset in use.
