Yay! 😊Thank you😊🧵🪡
I love making needle books that start off with a strip of felt or batting 4” x 7” and apply small bits of fabric and stitch it all up when that’s done I’ll add another piece of fabric to the back stitch around the edges then fold in half 3.5” wide 4” high
Then Adding wool felt pages for the needles like a book 🥰
That's Brilliant! It's a perfect project. I made one with no pages ruclips.net/video/ufU8reWHy1M/видео.html and I really like the idea of adding wool pages!

Thank you for showing how to do this, it’s very relaxing, I love to do it while I “watch” TV with my husband. However, I’d like to see your face every once in a while. I like to see who is behind the hands. ☺️
I would like to personally thank you for this video! I've been wanting this kind of introduction to stitching ever since I discovered your channel. ❤ Now I want more!! 😅 I would really like to see how you organise your stitching accessories in the studio. I know I could use some inspiration in the organisation department... 🙏❤️

Really great tutorial. Ive been doing squares of stitcheries. Im going to do my 1st scroll, got some calico backing fabric and will collage and just stitch. I also love love doing the spiral blanket stitch, its so relaxing. Especially the mosaics in black and white. Just done my 1st one, so pleased with it. tfs.

I just. shared your tutorial with my slow stitch club. TY for taking the time to show us what you're doing and teach others how to get started. Cheers from sunny FL 🙂
That’s great to hear! Hello and Happy Stitching to everyone in the club!😊🧵🪡
Felt s difficult to get a needle through so be mindful of that💜
Thanks for the heads up. The felt I use is by far the easiest to stitch through of any base I’ve used but some felt is stiff and inconsistent so it’s important to test your base first. 😊🧵🪡
Love your beautiful items, thank you for sharing and giving me some inspiration to try slow stitching, Teresa in Mn
Thanks that’s great to hear!😊🧵🪡
Your scroll is so pretty!

This was very helpful! Thank you!
That’s great to hear! 😊🧵🪡
Great beginner info! Thanks!
Great!😊🧵🪡
Very well don!! Thanks!! The only thing I was left wondering about is how one lays down the various fabric bits onto the backing, on a very first piece. Do you have another video that shows how to do that first step? Not sure how videos work but, if it's possible, you might want to add a link to a video showing that step at the very beginning of this video. In any case, this is one of the most approachable beginning how-to videos I've watch. And, I've watched hundreds as you and others keep me company while I craft for several hours most day. So, thanks for providing me with content while I stitch!

I just subscribed to your youtube channel I want to learn slow stitching & it’s nice to see how u do this
That’s great! Glad you’re here! I think you’ll find slow stitching so enjoyable!😊🧵🪡
Off to work(9am) this family long weekend in AB Can. I'll come back later. Enjoyed the brief moment I've been here. Found you via Sarah Humpfray. Have a good day. I'll be talking slow stitch. How long has this been a thing? I've embroidered since I was a child.
Hi and welcome! Slow Stitching has been practiced in different forms in many cultures for centuries and it has become popular as a relaxing mindful craft over the last 10 years. As an embroiderer I think you’ll find it a great way to expand on what you already do! 😊🧵🪡
i'm so sorry i had to save this to watch later because my landlord is doing renovation directly below me. :( your voice reminds me a bit of Bob Ross though. Only you have happy little animals and not happy little trees. My mom does a lot of this slow stitching. RN I'm turning the graphics from my old anime t-shirts that are full of holes into patches.
Love that you’re saving your old favourite t-shirts with patches!
So pretty and creative where do you get your dowels
Thank you! I wish I had a source! I found this dowel, it was used to wrap wire.
What do you do with your final creation?
Have you tried incorporating it in a pillow or framing it?
Lots of things!

Is there a practical reason that you use felt more often than say batting? I have sooo so many batting scraps everywhere. I can see from your demo, that I could use it. I am just wondering why your preference is felt?
Batting would be perfect. I also use batting when I have scraps. I happened upon a variety of soft felt that suits me perfectly so I continue to use it.
This is real similar to Japanese Sashiko and Boro stitching
There can be overlaps and Slow Stitching definitely can be inspired, informed and influenced by Kantha and Boro stitching.
Добрый день! Красиво!
