If I have an Android Phone and if I setup the Eufy Tracker with the Eufy app. Will the iphones surrounding my tracker also report the location of the tracker to the network or you must have an iPhone for this use case? The thing is, many people are using iphones and I would like that they could report my lost item (example key) to the network. Because how else will I know where my key is, when I lost it on a walk. By the way, great Video, like watching you. Greets from Germany
I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for some time now and bought so AirTag’s for our key and are great. Also had the Eufy security cameras that work great with apple so these smarttrack links seem to be a good fit. I plan on buying a set and stashing them in our vehicles.
Thank you Scott for the video. I do have a question however. If my tracker was left behind on a connecting flight, and I go to another country, can I still track it on the app? Will it show my device is located in another country where I am not?
Great video, glad you mentioned the Eufy app has to be open to find/ring your phone. A can understand to have the app installed, but to be open??. "I'll just open the Eufy app because I'm just about to misplace my phone" Again very useful video.
Great review. Im so glad you mentioned that part about not many honest people in the world anymore and that if you lose your bag you assume you lost it forever as this is something I’ve been thinking when researching trackers lately but never seen this mentioned on reviews and articles.
Hi Do you know what the BT range of the Eufy is please? Chipolo has an advertised range of 200ft but actually gets upto 500ft, Tile pro advertised at 400ft. Many thanks
@@LukeFlegg air tags continue to notify people regardless if they know or not… my son knows I track my car I allow him to drive. I’m asking if these would prevent that notice to avoid all of that. Every time he or someone else with an iPhone gets into the car it’s a 30 minute explanation
I’d like to know the same. Not weird at all. My 15 year old daughter went on an off road cycle by herself yesterday and I thought that’s ok put the tracker in your back pocket I’ll see if you start wizzing down the motorway at 100 mph towards Heathrow being trafficked. It didn’t do what I expected. I think it needs to be in range of a phone
@@scottpinhorne I'm pretty sure there are some features, such as tracking using the iPhone network (?), that are only accessible from the Find My app, which I believe is only available on iPhones (iOS / apple operating systems). There is a quick allusion to this in the video but greater clarity on what is and isn't available via android and the Eufy app (SmartTrack?) would be helpful.
Stupid question incoming…..qr code for contact details. What do we do in this day & age where landlines aren’t always connected? If you don’t have a second number or family/friend number you could use, at this rate I may get a back up brick phone! 😂

Yeah that makes it pointless!
He is not correct. I can make the phone ring without the eufy app being open.

Sou didn’t mention one important thing: how long the battery lasts. Any way to see it in the eufy app, like percentage or anything
3 years
This channel will go far.
That’s very kind of you to say, thank you.
Awesome review and comparison, Scott!!! learned a lot from video
Thanks for the video. Gave me just what I needed.
First time viewer, enjoyed your video.
Thanks for the view Tom, welcome to my mad house!
Planning an out of country trip. Does this track my kids if they end up lost in an open crowd ? Or only AirTag ?
Scott. No way is that 3 x 2 inches. Think you might have measured the box it came in?

Amazing video! Hello from Brazil
Hello from the currently sunny UK, it won’t last long!!
id wonder if that will do a job t o secure my drone when i flying to protect against losing it .
It's February 2024 and the Eufy app does have left behind alarm, albeit in beta
can it alert or show on other people’s phones who are traveling with me or just on mine
How do you connect it to your Android? Mine keeps saying out of range
Are you mentally handicapped?
Even tough in the box only says apple devices it works in android as I have a Samsung s23 and works non-issue
Can it be used with the eufy Homebase to ‘arm’ the alarm, every time you leave the house ?
No sadly not… yet 😜
how to change battery?
is this something that could be used to track my child as he drives around without alerting them as the air tag does?
Wow. Weird question. Why would you want to secretly stalk your child without them knowing??

How does it compare to the Tile?
Appreciate the video. Does this mean it is also Android compatible using the Eufy app?
Sure is 😄

Great and informative video, however, the device dimensions are incorrect. The device is more like 1.46" x 1.46" x 0.26".
You do not need the app open to be able to locate your phone with the tag. You should retest and update this video.
turn up the volume???
thanks
No real-world test?
I put this on my daughters school bag pack for a few days to test them out although i didn't include this in the video when i should have. thanks
Please show more photos and videos referencing while you talking.😅
