This movie is one of the best works ever created. Never mind Lion King and all that. Balto tells a wonderful story. And I've watched it a houndred times, but even so, I still watch it again and again. And each time I get so touched that I sob abit, its a fantastic movie. I love this song so much but it's sad to me because it reminds me of my late dog Barney. I lost him when I 10. And every time I listen to song after watching Balto I cry every single time I hear it. The last movie made by Amblimation, Steven Spielberg's animation studio based in the UK that made "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" and "We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story", and after this movie did poorly at the box office (along with We're Back) the studio closed down and most of the staff would soon work for the new DreamWorks studio and made 2-D animated films like "The Prince of Egypt" and "The Road to El Dorado" before DreamWorks ditched 2-D animation for CGI. I also found out they were going to make an animated version of the musical "Cats" before closing down Amblimation. Honestly I wanted to see that version than the horrible live-action/CGI abomination we got in 2019.
I was 2 years old when this movie came out, few years later, my sister got it for Christmas, she loved it very much, plus she loves wolves. I liked it two.

Balto and The Pagemaster are my two all-time favorite non-Disney animated films, both films really speak to me, but you gotta remember the true story behind Balto and what a remarkable accomplishment it was for that sled dog team to save the lives of those ailing kids in Nome.

If only the real balto was a true half blooded wolf in real life this movie would of been more true story to The real story but on a side note there has never been any other animated movie based on a true story.
