Grim Dawn | Best Starter Class | Blackiron Docks ONE-SHOT | HC Vet | July 2024

Multiple enemy waves eliminated by Bloody Pox (100% acid conversion) in the Blackiron Docks quest.
For the sake of my sanity, I am calling this a one-shot clear because I only cast Bloody Pox one time on the first wave of enemies that appeared. The following waves of enemies catch Bloody Pox from the corpses, I don't do any further attacks. There is a trivial amount of retaliation damage from some skills/gear but that is not what is killing the enemies.

Big damage skill (Dreeg's Evil Eye) unlocks with 1 point in mastery and can be heavily buffed very early in Act 1 with several boss-drop items that have 100% drop chance. Skill scales really well and remains great all the way to endgame.
Another big damage skill (Doom Bolt) can be buffed to silly amounts of damage.
Area damage skill (Bloody Pox) is strong and useful.
Exclusive skill (Possession) provides damage absorption as well as damage buffs and 100% skill disruption protection.
Class has two pets and a generic pet-buff skill (health, damage, speed, energy regen) so can be part of a strong pet build.
Curse of Frailty is a very useful resistance reduction skill with an area effect.
Blood of Dreeg provides great buffs including a massive amount of acid/poison resistance on its 2nd node.
Occultist can be very useful as a support mastery for every other class in the game.

Buffed poison damage is extremely strong, even with gear that is very easy to get. Several items I have are low-level and need to be updated.
