I have built this door around 10 times now on different builds and locations, thank you for your design, it even is self fixing, whenever you spam it and it gets trapped, it just takes two activations to fix
Great door i used it for my house design. One issue however i faced was that when the door is closed there's a 2 block gap on the either sides of the door that allow mob spawns. The block above the gaps are not a part of the redstone circuit so you can replace them with a sea lantern to prevent mob spawning. Especially it could ruin your work if a creeper pops out of the door when you open it!
Here's one way to do it: put a sticky piston under the pressure plate, put an observer on the end, and run your redstone line from where the observer is when the piston extends. Hopefully that answers your question, if it's even relevant anymore.
Actually, I dont think you need a tff, you just take the rs signal, and run it into an observer bc any signal will be converted into a 1t pulse from an observer, so it doesnt matter if its from a lever or something. Edit: I just noticed this, you do actually need a tff bc a plate pulses it twice.
This is super helpful, and it works in 1.16 snapshots so far too! Note that if you want to use a pressure plate or tripwire, I suggest connecting it to a comparator decay clock to keep it open for about 10 seconds
I now have a plan to build a giant labyrinth with rooms connected with these doors that randomly go on and off. thankyou. the perfect way to ruin my friends sanity
just made your 4x4 in my base, you have great doors. I like how you value the 2 wide even tho its technically bigger than the 1 wide versions. 2 wide doors fit so much better into bases.
sweet build! gonna use it on our server. one thing to add with 1.16.1 is the togglable redstone dots. 2 of them need to be crosses instead of dots for this to work now
Not sure whats wrong, but the bottom section breaks when adding the second circuit in 1.16.5. If I take out the two observers looking at the noteblock and the redstone dust (on the Redstone lampside) the bottom circuit works fine. But when I add those observers, the bottom circuit breaks. The double piston extender doesn't move fast enough and drags one of the 2 blocks down with it breaking the door on further attempts to open.
I think i know what you mean. Ok, so if you 'open' the door and have the 2 blocks in the middle, replace the outer blocks and make it closed. Hope this helps
If you can't get the middle block to go down, the part where a observer is connected to the piston (on the side of the door where the first lever is) is being blocked by another block. Break the block next to that observer and it should work just fine!
A fix to people having problems with the bottom circuit: if you 'open' the door and have the 2 blocks in the middle, remove the outer blocks and make it closed
ok so in 1.16 and up the redstone dots need to be toggled to cross mode. you can do that by right clicking the redstone dot
I actually had some be crosses and some be dots to make it work
all of it are crossed...
thanks for this comment Davedabrave i almost gave up on the whole thing until I saw this
You're genuinely an angel holy hell
THANK YOU
my jaw dropped when you said "and that's the whole door"
awesome job dude

Pretty easy design, you have a NEW sub :)
Hey man this was a great video and definatelly earned my Subscription. The door works amazing and I couldn't do it without you!
Anthony ChelSeaSmile didnt work for me
its Boujh: are you on bedrock
I love your videos! They are relaxing, like theres jazz, your voice is so smooth everything is perfect.
11 Sticky Piston
20 Observer
9 Redstone Dust
4 Note Block
1 Redstone Lamp
1 Lever
:)
I was searching for this, thanks
Amazing video, your voice make the turtorial sounds very calm and peaceful, thanks for making this
I’ve watched this over 5 times now u helped me learn redstone so much
How would you connect this up with pressure plates instead of levers?
Here's one way to do it: put a sticky piston under the pressure plate, put an observer on the end, and run your redstone line from where the observer is when the piston extends. Hopefully that answers your question, if it's even relevant anymore.
Do a flipflop toggle.
Didn't work on bedrock so i refunded it, bought java and never looked back. Thanks for your hard work dude!
lol 😂
How come you don't have like a million subs your videos are clear and it's kind of a comfy mood

THIS IS THE BEST PISTON DOOR VID I HAVE EVER SEEN AMAZING JOB DUDE
REALLY great door - works perfectly in 1.18
Thank you 👊🏼
I love it. Simple, small, and smooth.

Simple, Straight to the point and With a sound effect! Perfect. Thanks for the tutorial!

much needed improvement from mumbo's older version
no mambo better
@@Sheenoharu I love Mumbo, but this is clearly a superior version. Smaller, less lag, easier to build.
Bongo man: It’s smaller, faster, and just better in general.

Love from impulse

The design is completely broken for me, the blue circuit doesnt work. IT only puts the middleblock in place, the lower middle block doesnt work.
Same problem for me

This is THE MOST underrated content ive ever seen
still the best design and tutorial out there
this works and the tutorial is good you have earned a new subscriber
If I didn’t know better, I would say this guy just through a hole load of random blocks together and it happened to work
I tried it with my Xbox 1, I don’t know if it’s the right version or not but it did not work for me
Amazing design. Relaxing music. Best video of this kind I've ever seen.
Me who has friends who spam the lever- No redstone door is safe
my new triangle door is spam proof
I also have this problem with the bottom double pistons firing too many times
I just rebuilt the whole thing. I think it was because the noteblocks had been touched or a stray block was out of place
@@Kwipla i also made triangle door and also a circle doon just the problem is not conpact but m still learning 😬😬😬
Very relax and good
sweet build! gonna use it on our server. one thing to add with 1.16.1 is the togglable redstone dots. 2 of them need to be crosses instead of dots for this to work now
Thank you so much! I built this 3 times with the redstone being dots and it wouldnt work, but when I built with thecrosses, it worked first time!
WHY DOES THIS NOT HAVE LIKE A MILLION VIEWS ITS SO MUCH EASIER THAN THE OTHER 3x3’s !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for helping me make a secret base on a multi-player server!
Super nice video great job dude
Best youtuber!
This design is genius!
This video is underrated (compared to other tutorials about a 3x3 piston door)
Update 1.19.2 still works. Make sure you toggle red stone dots by right clicking them to crosses
Still works, yeah. For some reason something was going wrong for some time but I figured it out in the end.
You are a genius my friend
THANK YOU SO MUCH GREAT VIDEO! Edit: you just got a new subscriber!
DUDE! Your content is AMAZING!!!
Thanks for the build, it looks awesome!
This should be in every minecraft world!
This worked! Thank you!
Thx bro! I know have an entrance to my mansion in my Minecraft server! You have earned yourself a like!

Amazing design, thanks!
Thanks for this im trying to build something futuristic styled and this was easy to follow
get this man to 100k
clean, nice and easy. Good job.
when i built this there was a problem with the two blocks that come up first there was only one how do i fix that?
Same
need this answer too
leave the redstone crossed, had the seame problem but crossing it fixed it
Thanks! This was really helpful
If you don’t want the note block sound you can replace the note block on top with a dropper facing the red stone dust and it works the same
Bro this is very helpful btw thanks 😊😅💯🤯
i am obsessed with the openng
Keep up the great content
Amazing video help a lot!
amzing this i s so gooooood i lov e it so easy tutorial thx alot mate!!
Amazing video thank you so much haven’t tried it yet but I really liked the way you made the video subbed no doubt in mind that I can mess this up
dam this is so helpful
The double piston extender is not working properly (3:00)
This is confirmed. Is there an updated version of this door?
I think i know what you mean. Ok, so if you 'open' the door and have the 2 blocks in the middle, replace the outer blocks and make it closed. Hope this helps
