I have this system and it gets really close. But I wet it a scrape it. Faster and leaves a better job, because you have to remove all the acoustic off , not just the popcorn.
Tried it on my bathroom ceiling, and discoverd it was painted. I've never felt such pain in my life. I ended up removing it with a chisel and it took 2 weeks
@@saveUyghurs there was paint over the popcorn ceiling, making it hard to sand. I ended up soaking the ceiling with water multiple times since the paint also made the popcorn waterproof
You definitely need to do 1-2 layers of primer (skim coat) cause it'll be really dry and the 1st layer of primer will be hard to put on and uneven. Don't use paint without primer the paint still not stick (I've learned and lived this mistake myself😅)
This is my kinda video...tutorial and percussion! Yassss!😂
Yessss so needed I hate popcorn ceilings
This only work on unpainted ceilings don't ever try it on apartments where the ceiling has like 6 layers of paint lol
True😂
i used my drywall sander on painted ceilings and it works
@@PiousBarleywhat kind of sander do you have?
@@ti10canYou’re getting that confused with trying to wet & scrape a painted ceiling. A power sander will blast through the paint.
We’re can I rent this machine???
Sure from home depot
Where are tape and bed seams on the ceiling?I wish it worked this well.
This is so edited lol. You can see they blur the spots they went over so you cant see all the imperfections
It’s not edited, the blurs you see is where the sander has hit it
Anybody knows where can I rent this machine.? And do I have to put water to the feeling before doing this.?
So satisfying
Does it work with painted popcorn
I wonder how close it gets to the edges/corners. Cool.

Hope they still enjoy their work… Even once they get Mesothelioma or Asbestosis. Popcorn ceilings are dangerous since they can contain asbestos.
Likely not if they were built after 1979, and all it takes is a simple test at a lab. Take your negativity off Facebook.
Masks. Easy preventative.
Thanks for pointing that out. Best to be safe.
Yeah you should lab test before hand. If it has asbestos your better off paying.
smart man my friendo
Looking up this machine and there are several models
that's didn't even look real.
Most popcorn ceilings were put up in the 70’s - make sure to test for asbestos!

What do you mean it was painted?

What number is the sander sheet?
Do you need to do a skim coat on the ceiling after?
