I really am enjoying watching Alexander's post store adventures and project. Still get to see his really cool picks and he now has time to devote to many other great projects that he wasn't able to devote time to inthe past.
Love this idea! Don’t forget to put supports under the rear. I can see it tip if too many people are towards the back. 😏 Not that I’ve experienced that, ever . . . once☺️
I want you to know your jack stands need to be under the rear trailer frame. The front hand crank will level the trailer and you won't have the unit tripping over. A three-point stand will make the cabin stable and safe!
the camper looks great,. makes a nice changing room for the pool area and nice to have a bathroom near the pool also.also a great place to keep cold drinks and picnic supplies.
I enjoyed this episode, how fun. I chuckled and told a friend the pool is a distance from the house, and now you have a mobile home. You can spend the day out there and pretend you are on vacation outside Edmonton, Thanks to the wonderful content you and your family bring us. Oh, and I think a white picket fence would add to your getaway.
Great make over on the caravan looks amazing the colours are cool and with a fridge in there you won't need to go to the house for drinks and food when you are by the pool❤ from Australia
Nice job Alex!! I like it! Thank you for leaving the bad words out and admitting that sometimes frustration gets the best of all of us. Love your family friendly content! Keep up the great work!!
Oh man I love it! I wouldn’t put curtains in because it seems to me the bare windows let the beautiful outdoor scenery inside, and curtains would close that off. Just my silly opinion of course. You guys are the cutest, and your kids are so lucky to have parents like you and Melissa ❤
You found the perfect way to fill the empty space on that concrete pad! And the fact that you made it look so retro makes it even better. I am sure the family will get plenty of use out of that area of the yard throughout the summer. It wears me out watching how quickly you get projects completed, Alex, but your videos are always entertaining!
very cute. A great idea that you didn't have to build. Love that!. You can store the pool towels and things in there for easy use. Or, if you get tired of that big new house, you can go out to the little retreat you have, with no phone, or computers, and enjoy the quiet. Love it.
Creative, money-saving idea that so seems to fit the family style! Your little pool house beside the camper would look nice painted one of the two colors of the camper. You’re so right about the yard; it’ll grow back without a sign of damage. But the joy that camper brings will make it all worthwhile.
I love the camper! It is in excellent shape ! Nice to have a pad there already done! Such a wonderful little retreat by the pool. Especially because the pool is far away from the house, this will be so nice. Great job!
It's looking great. You might want to put some jack stands under the back end of it also to stabilize everything and also to keep it from being slanted if the tires eventually lose some pressure.
I love the little camper! The paint is perfect and I especially like what you did with the tires! You'll make good use of this cozy little cabana, I know. Great place to keep beach towels and whatever supplies/accessories you might need at the pool without having to traipse over to the house. You need a little canopy over the camper door and/or a string of lights for night-time ambiance! Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Love it…. you made me laugh!! Getting stuck….was so funny. Alex it was raining you knew it would happen…lol it is something my hubby would do. Camper looks great!
I love your poolside cabana! What about a picnic table? BBQ? Then, you have an afternoon all around “event!” Whatever you decide…or if it’s complete…you have made your viewers very happy for your many recent successes!
What a brilliant idea - home from home. Having just sold my caravan in the U.K. I will miss it but I found that as you get older everything is harder to move around
Alex the camper turned out so cute! Great idea and it works for what you need. Just get some fertilizer or potting soil, grass seed, water ( need to stomp that area back down flat) the grass will be back in no time with all the rain you guys get there. you guys enjoy the pool and make some great family memories together. Much happiness always to you!!!
Years ago when my boys were Stephen and Jason’s ages we had a camper In our back yard. My boys ran an extension cord out to it for power and lived there all summer. Now they are in their 30’s and still talk about it. I hope your family has as much fun as my boys did.
I love that you not only show us the success, which it was 100%, but including the BS, "NOT GO AS PLANNED, between a rock and a hard space. Big shutout to your son for helping you out.
The camper is adorable. I think you would call that a "retro" look. It takes me back many years to our "Sammy Seal." We hauled that little 14 footer to Colorado and the Rocky Mts. I sure could use it today as a little guest house or garden shed.
That camper is adorable! I did not realize how dark that grey was until you started painting with the beige! I like the new design much better! Even on a bad day you look lighter and less stressed. It's wonderful to see.
I absolutely love this! My family had a camper when I was growing up in the sixties and it looked so much like this but it was yellow instead of turquoise blue. I am digging this so much brilliant creative idea!
This is really causing me to flash back to those beach camping days! I remember that I slept in a hammock inside I was all of three or four years old at that time.
So awesome Alexander! You and Melissa are building such a great home for your family, you know they are never going to leave! You’ll have to build more to house the kids, their spouses AND the grandkids! How fun would that be!😉 It really is fantastic…I am really enjoying these new adventures! Keep them coming!🥰
What a great idea, Alex! If I hauled one out to my place there would be fights on who gets to sleep in it when it rains! One of my fondest memories of a child is going out to sleep in the Red on white Porta-Built travel trailer we had when I was a kid. To this day the sound of rain on a metal roof lulls me to sleep every time.
The little campers are way more fun and memorable to camp in than those big expensive ones people use now. Where they look like homes instead of campers. I always figure a camper is only used to store food and sleep in. Elsewise I'm outdoors.
@@tinacatharinaeden2711 Best part of my world is when they come out to visit! Then my youngest granddaughter is taken out to swing or play in the yard while I lop off a chicken's head for dinner!! lol
Gosh, it didn't take you long to work your magic, even between rain storms. Everything looks so nice. I especially like the custom tire look. The yellow color flower wouldn't pop with an ordinary black tire. May you and your family have many hours of enjoyment poolside. 😊😊😊
I am working outside painting my porch railings listening to you...when you spoke of vocabulary coming out you didn't remember having I laughed so hard as it has bn a day of my own frustration! TY for helping me laugh. I love your new home! Cool idea bout the camper!
Getting stuck in the mud is a rite of passage for every RV owner! A belated welcome to the club! Love the retro reno you did on your little camper! I might copy that art the previous owner left behind for my camper😏
Why do I desperately want you to put up an awing and bunting, with out fun door lighting?! Turned out super cute, Alex. I'm ready to see more projects.
Love love love the little camper/pool house it’s so cute! Makes me wish we would’ve kept one of our old campers we had many years ago instead of selling them when we upgraded. We have two fifth wheel RV’s a small one and a large toy hauler with 2 bathrooms and a washer and dryer. With the cost of fuel it’s almost too expensive to enjoy them… we got a great deal on the small one (28ft) 3,000.00 U.S. it’s a 2015 but was filthy inside and out. With a lot of elbow grease it turned out beautiful! Love how cute yours is! ♥️
The camper and surrounding area turned out so cute! Who would have thought that an old camper with new paint would make a great pool house! Your ideas are genius, but you have been told that often 😉
We painted a trailer in our trailer park and we used Benjamin Moore exterior Aura paint..it was fabulous, went on smooth…we used the Benjamin Moore STIX primer first….then we added shutters in a beautiful teal/turquoise
Just a quick hint we use for our RV. Put out several bars of Irish Spring bar soap all through the camper along the floors and bottom of all the cabinets. It helps repel any mice who might want to get inside.
Oh my goodness Alex you made me laugh out loud about the redneck remark. The picture was worth 1000 words hahaha even though your camper is a 70s model my sister and I back in the day had an aunt that left a 1950s camper behind and we used it as a playhouse for a couple years awesome memories for this 74-year-old . That's very much like a trailer I was in for 2 years moving across Canada! We had baby moon hubcaps because my dad thought it looked cool going down the road - which I think would really look good on yours! My dad sold ours in 1975 and found out as the guy was pulling away he confessed that it was to be used as a brothel in the Yukon! :) Those windows are not the originals - I'd be checking the fitment and the weatherproofing on them.
