Chino is literally his own genre. Anything he touches is so fresh and new. I've been listening to this dude for over 20 years and it's still like the first time hearing him. There is just nobody like him.

I think you'll find several members of Orgy were well established in the CA scene in the 80s and 90s before Deftones even got to a studio for Adrenaline (which does not feature much music that could fit in this category). Let alone Crosses or Team Sleep. People definitely were paying attention to Chino back then but he was not doing this style of music at that time. Maybe he wished he was, I am sure he always could have but Deftones took a few albums to approach this sound. And he did not start Crosses or Team Sleep until well after Orgy had released Candyass.

I just discovered Crosses. This EP is precious and l loved how it reminds me Depeche Mode, nu metal and darkwave, but in a particular way. It's not plagiarism. It's fresh. Chino Moreno is amazing

When I say Chino Moreno is my all time favorite musician, this is what I mean. Everything he does is flawless. I had the opportunity to meet him and could only say ‘thank you’. I couldn’t explain how much of an impact his music has had on me over the decades. ❤
Chino's lyrics are such poetic story telling flow. His sensual ache and profundity is always cherished. This song and video means so much at this moment. Thank you.
