This is very versatile. During the next power outage I can be the only one in the entire village with running water. Or for the beach, a fresh water rinse from a water container. Rock on from the Philippines!
This looks great. Currently have a 1000L bowser on the back of a mule with a 4 stroke water pump on a trailer to water trees around the property I work on. With this, I should be able to just drop the pump in and get to work without messing round with petrol and noise. BTW, water scorching in summer is a myth with most plants so water go your hearts content
Thank you sir much appreciated, hey I was using this pump the other day pumping out a muddy hole in a trench so I could connect a pipe up and it still works awesomely, cheers for watching and commenting 🤟🤟
Oh g'day to you kind sir, I'm afraid my makita/bosch mash up doesn't have any battery protection, its all a bit heath Robinson!!, maybe possible to do it if your a real egg head tho or work for nasa, there were some bosch circuitry that I circumvented to make it simpler, just the other week a work colleague borrowed it and rang me from site to tell me how it had saved him hours and hours pumping out bit hot water cylinders in a hotel!, it's good to hear some good feed back, thanks for watching dude 🤘🤘 oh and ps there a few more more makita frankenstein creations on my channel, if you go on my playlists and go to all things makita and scroll down there is a 12v makita pump, 2 makita/ryobi mash ups, a makita coffee machine adhaptation and a vacuum adhaptation 🤘🤘🤘
Hi sir well there is only my one and one of my you tube friends has made one so there In ah hem limited supply! I went well ocd with mine and another dude has converted one of these Bosch pumps to run of one of those rare 2ah lxt battery’s which are slim onto a makita to Bosch 3d printed eBay special and I think although he hasn’t got back to me the cover will click on and you can use the original Bosch on off button, seriously tho this pump is really really good, MAKITA TAKE NOTE!!! THEY WOULD SELL A TON OF THESE TO BUILDERS/PLUMBERS AND GARDENERS!!!, thanks for commenting you get 2 of these 👊🏻👊🏻 and 2 of theses 🤟🤟
Hi sir no sorry It doesn’t, it’s just a case of getting the pump going and then using the spray head,I guess if you got the pump going with the spray head on but not pressed for a long period it might heat up the pump some but with it being submerged it would be ok for a while,it’s the kind of pump that will only build up a certain pressure ( not that much, probably about half a bar ish) I guess it would be possible to rig up a micro switch on the spray head to turn on the pump,we just use this pump really for pumping out water tanks, cheers for commenting 🤟🤟
Really sorry for the late reply my friend I feel dreadful, the pump originally before I converted it to makita was a Bosch 18v garden pump 23a6g9 ,you should be able to find it online 🤟🤟
Thanks for reply! I am sorry not noticed that it is modified by yourself, but anyway it is a good job, I have also a lot of Makita batteries and hope to use them for this Bosch pump. Would you explain me how you modified the socket of the pump in order to use a Makita battery? I worry that the original Bosch PBA socket hood is too small to hold an adapter of battery. Thanks again!
Oh hi Chris thanks for reaching out, mmmm looking back at the video I should have gone more into how I made it but hey ho I didn’t sorry, the main bit of the conversion is the use of a makita lxt usb charger which is sunk into the water proof battery box after the Bosch battery attachment bit is cut out, it’s fairly easy to do the wiring inside, you just connect the positive and negative from the Bosch battery terminals to the terminals inside the makita usb charger,I guess another way would be to buy a Bosch to makita adhaptor and do it that way but the clear cover will probably not fit then and the micro switch will need to be linked out and the on off would just be controlled by pushing the battery on, I think there’s some adhaptors you can get off eBay,if you want to do it my way it’s not to bad to do the biggest challenge is setting the makita battery’s attachment into the plastic of the box,it’s a bit fiddly and time consuming but rewarding at the end, hope this has been a little help to get you going, please feel free to get back to me with any other questions about this project,I might be tempted to do another video If it helps, cheers sir 🤟🤟
@@UKTOOLTALK does that mean all the buttons on the bosch part for on and off will be redundant . as just took them apart . and the red and black easily swapable but the rest seems confusing
That’s cool if you go on my instagram page nixonatorsk8 and dm me I’ll talk you through it maybe with a video call I’m sure we will sort it out,I need to get mine apart to be honest and re check what I did 🤟🤟

@@UKTOOLTALK I actually bought one after I saw your review, I had no idea they existed. Got my makita adapter coming in the mail.
Hi my friend, yes it’s a great little pump, shifts allot of water!, thanks for getting involved 🤟🤟
G'day from New Zealand Jon,
You are brilliant. I presume that the makita adapter will still provide protection for the battery.

Abso bloody luuutly my friend! Thanks for reaching out with such a awesome comment 🤟🤟
Instead of water, how about sugar syrup, if the liquid is a bit viscous how far it will go?
When using the hand held spray. Does the pump run when the spray button is pressed?
