UK TOOL TALK ( formally Jon’s random reviews)
Великобритания
Добавлен 1 апр 2020
Hello and welcome to uk tool talk, I love all aspects of powertools ie reviewing them! Testing them! Fixing them! Dismantling them and even altering them, iv been in the building trade as a plumber for 38 years so and I’d like to think iv got Allot of knowledge about powertools ( especially makita!) Iv picked up over the years, yes you heard it I’m the biggest makita super fan boy in the uk so if it’s makita content your after uk tool talk is the place to be!, second only world wide to the mighty tools and stuff from New Zealand, what’s on my channel, well since my channel is very small at the moment I only have limited resources to get hold of the latest tools to review but I try ( if it’s makita and not mega expensive it’s all good) here’s my pitch!! With my channel you will get honesty! You will get an in depth review and testing and opinion of said tool and more importantly to me you will get a giggle and bants and querky ness
Are you a high roller?? This bit holder and bit will cost you an arm and a leg!!
Quick note this video is very rambling on,I could have wrapped this video up in 5 minutes!!! Instead it goes on and on and on and on to over 15 minutes, Garry is not going to be pleased!!, oh well you live by the sword you die by the sword, that said in this video is a talking log and allot of screwing and bants so really it’s all good, ie I did a me video instead of a Garry video 🤟🤟

Don't forget Wera is pronounced ' Vera' in Deutschland 😉
Nice review. I have searched for the perfect bit for years, jave both of those too but still prefer the makita gold bit holder no perfect but looks great in a makita 173 lol
It's a shame about the bad language
So funny how you did this video! 😂 But to lay down a pressure washer on your car!! 😱Thank you anyway for this review. I know now not to buy this.
what is it 1887
Thanks for the review. I quite fancy something like this for odd jobs when it’s not worth dragging the Karcher out of the garage (I have a set of alloy wheels that need a quick blast, and getting the winter salt off the car once a week). My brother has the old version of the Worx Hydroshot, they seem to be around £150 quid but you’re buying the battery/charger too. I am quite disappointed that the Makita is not a bit more powerful - specs are 24bar and the cheap old version of the Hydroshot is 22bar. The portability of it is a big plus but not something I necessarily need. The sticking point for me is that it seems to have come out in the UK at £130 and that doesn’t include the foam thing. For £100 with the foam bottle I would probably be buying one, but even though I am firmly tied into the Makita battery ecosystem I just can’t justify a meh power tool because I already have the batteries…. Anybody seen them cheaper yet?
Just replying to myself, the newer more powerful (56 bar) version of the Worx Hydroshot (WG633E) is £199 at Screwfix - a fair bit more, but the reviews are really good. It’s frustrating, because with the batteries/charger it would surely be less than £150, so surely Makita could have made something in the same ball park. I don’t really want yet another charger/battery kicking around in the garage…
Good points my friend! Good points!!, do you want to buy mine??? I never use it!! Make me an offer!!, or do you want to buy my 36v makita powerwasher???
is it 1976?
lmao i said thw same i said what is it 1887😂😂😂
Hi jon been looking for a toolbox myself any chance i can have your old one. Love your channel keep up the good work
Ooooo your being polite!! Oh yes you’re after something!!! Oh course you can have my old tool box,the stickers are extra tho!!!
Nice box , can’t say I have seen one here in that style. Be dam handy for sure.
I recon you could staple Jesus on the cross with that and he wouldn't drop off 😇
It's a dogs life ❣️
I can only offer you good luck 👍🏼
Hey Jon, you're the best and for sure I'll KEEP WATCHING 🤘🏼👍🏼
Great review and I bought one on the back of it! It did not come with the bottle adaptor though sadly :(
Hi Jon I’m a Aussie plumber I’m thinking of rigging something like this up with a test gauge to test hot and colds, fire service mains. Do you think it would have enough balls. Cheers matty
G spot series jigsaw, brutal! 🤪
Fyi: the silver side of the insulation should face the cold/exterior. good luck.
Great review mate…. That cap came of nice and easy 😂😂🙌
Still using the old school Stanley. Thought about it but na ,don’t see the need. Insulation T50 style, roof flooring felt, house rap a Bostitch slap stapler forget the model seems like 85 .
I like this thing a lot, being able to just drop a hose in a bucket with no other faff sounds great. I don't think I need more pressure than it can give. I get why they did it but I just don't know if I can get over it being brushed when brushless is so ubiquitous and it would have probably been a decent bit more powerful.
price would be a factor of why brushed vs brushless.
@jchan0425 Certainly, as well as brushed motors dealing with water and dirt ingress better, apparently. But it would be child's play to put mesh on the vents. I don't know how much more it would have cost to be brushless but I'm pretty sure I would pay it for a more powerful, longer battery life, longer life tool.
❤
Great catch up video mate😃 …. Things of note… apologies for driving like a grandad in the ice, I’ll try to pull over if I see you skateboarding down the motorway😬. Don’t Ban me, BUT, I really hate that Makita collated screw gun. I had two, both spent more time jamming up than putting screws in ( probably user error🤣). All the best for the new year mate🙌. Keep doing whatever the f..k you want…. F..k the 😉🐒🐒😍
Without the board, no overheat and overdischarge protection and also the switch is gonna go bad soon cause of the arcs while switching under full amp draw.
*Cheers Jon for your support* And yes, I am what you said I am about that issue.
Have just bought the DUC101 - and its more handy around tree branches than my recipro saw. But yes, it does get clogged up a little too easily. But finding the thing an invaluable tool around the garden for those small trees which needs a dam decent prune, where my chainsaw is pure overkill (and bulky)
Great job u should of tryed to modified a bigger battery pack for it like maybe made a bottom Section with rc battery packs or Or some kinda bigger battery to run longer
This guy shows how he got his adapter to work on Milwaukee tools The resistor size is in the comments. Hope this helps mate love your frankinstiens

😂 looking forward to the next video!
Mate you need to work on your editing - the video was WAAAAAY too long
I know my friend I know!!!, the thing is my brain works in a funny way, actually this video was ment to be allot longer but it got edited down, firstly I’m obsessed by little details, secondly I’m always repeating myself because iv forgotten what iv already said of the viewers have forgotten what I said ( how’s that for public service broadcasting!) iv got a contrary streak as well as long as the m1 motorway so you saying duuude make your videos shorter will convince me to make all my upcoming videos 4 hours long repeating my self dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of times, yes yes yes the RUclips algorithms hate me buuuut THEY ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!! I sing to my own tune ( case in point watch every other youtube channel in which they repeat versions of there other videos or copy’s of other folks videos so they look the same but ever so slightly different) that said I applaud you sir for being so bold and iv taken the observation on board and I’m going to politely decline and do the videos I want to do in direct contravention to Brian the RUclips algorithm monkey, you are and always will be a legend 🤟🤟
Funny as fuck - brilliant video
Oh hi Garry super stoked this video gave you a giggle!! Life is very short mucka 🤟🤟
Use a bord from old makita drill and just change the trigger switch to the on off switch worth a try if not fuck it and put it straight to battery
It’s Focked .
Probably my friend probably buuut I’m going to carry on regardless 🤟🤟
electrician's don't have friends.
Saves you putting a pound coin in the trolly. You can leave the trolly any where in the car Park to Roll into some ones car. 😅
Keep up the good work and get Well soon 🤟🏼
Interesting video Jon 👍🏼
You're making me feel cold Jon. I'm watching from the camper van in the Algarve. ☀️🤘🏼
Great effort, appreciate your experiment
Got one when they came out from Germany … trigger lock mechanism was f()cked - so I just used a rubber band to hold down the trigger. Bought this and Makitas 36v concrete cutter wet saw at the same place. Both for massive discount Paid £85 for it approx.
Bloody hell good deal!! Thanks for reaching out!! 🤟🤟

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL oops 😬
Looking forward to next video Jon. One more thing can you check your emails it's regarding the makita multi tool blade adapter Hahaha cheers Steven 🍻
I purchased the exact same version from Ali Express the other day. Of course it does not meet the standards of real Makita equipment, but for the price paid is an excellent device. Problem is I am puzzled by the functions on the rear panel and there was no user manual shipped with the device. There is an illuminated A and B function that can be selected with the button on the right. What does this do? Also is there a way to pick screw or bolt functionality? If anyone knows, please help.
That would be a good tool to have in an EDC kit. The wire stripper is probable designed to be rotated around the wire before pulling, not sure.
Cheers Harvey don’t know what a edc kit is but it sounds technical 🤪
Got one of these on my van keyring, had it a while use it a fair bit.
Sorry for the delay in responding my friend, thanks for reaching out sir it’s great to get some more opinions about this little gadget 🤟🤟
Jon doing whatever the hell he wants. 👍🏽
Oh cheers sir that means allot 🤟🤟
Have a Happy New Year Jon! We're off to the Algarve in our vamper van for two months to avoid the German winter. But I'll be sure to watch your videos 🤘🏼
Sorry for the late reply my friend busy time of year!!, hope you have had a nice Christmas and a happy day after the other day day 🤪
I suppose it's less embarrassing than having a 'bum chum'. It's the kind of thing I would expect to find in a posh Christmas cracker. Jon have a stress free new year!! 🤙🏼🤘🏼
He just jammered the entire time instead of showing us how he did it. It's a damn shame.
It was pretty fucking obvious
@@UKTOOLTALK It's not, you even mentioned in the video it wasn't easy. You didn't mention where you sourced the guards from either. Instead of going back & forth with me, you could just answer the question now 'cos it might help others who are confused or couldn't understand the heavy British accent or who aren't willing to sit through half an hour video on how to swap a saw's guard.
You can't charge a lithium battery on an NiMH charger as the lithium battery needs to talk to the charger, NiMH doesn't have this function so the battery will trickle charge only and take a long long time to charge. It could also be dangerous as the lithium batteries cannot take overcharging and can catch fire and the NiMH charger will not know when to stop charging, so always use a lithium charger for lithium batteries. Old power tools can be a bit iffy as you never know how abused they are until you try them, better to pay more and buy newer ones as they are more likely to work and not have expensive faults.
