RE: the frog burping up the ring; the sound designer for it actually came and did a talk at my college and told us the story. He wasn't part of the movie's regular staff. The director was like, "we need an expert" and calls this guy up because he's kind of legendary in the industry for doing weird sound design and the director goes "I need the sound of a frog burping up a ring" and the guy just thinks about it for a second and then makes that noise with his mouth over the phone and the director's like, "perfect."
To answer the heteronormative, is this a man dying only curse, this movie was based on a novel that subsequently produced 2 prequels and a sequel. In them there are Owen men and women who were queer and the curse affected their partners too. If you’re interested, the first prequel is about their ancestor, Maria Owens. Second prequel is about the aunts and their brother. And the sequel is set years after Practical Magic and more focused on Kylie and Antonia.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The 90s, the witches, the cast, the fashion, and of course the music (Stevie Nicks was perfect for this). Love this video so much, thanks for making it! 🥰
This and The Craft are probably the withy movies I have watched a bazillion times and I still love to watch. I think they show distinct versions of what could happen when you have support and love in your life versus not having any of it.
You got to admit they were dumb for just not going to the police. 2 white women and ones got a black eye and bruises and the dudes probably got a record and had a weapon. They would have probably gotten a medal for their work! I still love it though! Lol
My middle sister is indeed the Sally to my Gillian. She is the rational one who helps keep me grounded and if im ever in trouble, she is the first one I automatically go to for help....and im the one who helps to ''lighten up the mood", gets the party girl out of her, the one who will give sound advice and be there when you need someone to vent to and a shoulder to cry on.
My thing is - WHY didn't they just dump James on the side of the road or something? or in a ditch maybe Take the car, say it was used to get away from him & detail the abuse. And say 'I stole his car but I didn't kill anyone', voila!
Do you two live near an ocean? 😅 Asking for the safety of your neighbors... Practical Magic is a lot of fun. Great soundtrack, fall/witchy vibes, fantastic cast of ladies - What's not to love?

right? i think because she was giving him belladonna they were worried the police would think she was poisoning him.
They probably have Authority Figure Trauma from all their witchy ancestors getting burned and hanged.

I'm getting chills just seeing clips of this movie even though I saw it again like a week ago
“Get you a man who’ll let you get away with murder” 😂 truer words have never been spokennnn
this and witches of eastwick had me in a chokehold
OMG The Witches of Eastwick yes! So underrated!
I love Practical Magic. I just watched it tonight, (10/31/22) like I do every Halloween.
It’s such a vibe ✨
Not you quoting Queens Who Like To Watch! The love just gets bigger here.

Forever my favorite movie!
You should watch While you were sleeping
I’m always so impressed by how well your videos are edited! This was great
Thank you so much!!
Papa Trash looking knowingly at the camera was all of us who’d seen this before
I just love this movie.
One of my favorite movies! I don’t even consider it a Halloween movie, just an amazing Rom-Com 🤷🏾♀️
Have you watched The Craft?
Hocus pocus 2 is in the works!!!!
Except it's not "underrated" it was a commercial hit back in 1998. Everyone knew about this movie.
One Of My Faves!😱🥰🔮🖥💞
i wish they would do a sequel
Love this movie! Also think you guys would like a movie called Austenland since you guys love pride and prejudice so much.
oh my god i’m just realising you two are not sisters
we’re cousins 😂
Best movie ever better than hocus pocus
"no. because she was a woman"
Yeah... I'm out
